If you can go make a monetary decision to go in debt to better yourself or to better your life like to buy a car a house or what ever and then you have someone such as the gov't come in and give you the cash to forgive the payment that you agree'd to pay and get use to that it's more detrimental then helpful ! And if you look at America that is exactly a huge part of the problem today !! I see people every day that have gotten welfare, food stamps & probably at first for good reasons at first they needed but then just learned or took advantage of & found that it's easier to just say they need this service by false pretenses ! That along with laziness and then continue to receive it then while doing this pass on these lessons or actions to the younger generation creating a entitled mentality . Which with what this administration & those of the past have done tells these young people exactly that despite you creating this debt don't worry we'll just jump in & allow you to live off of others . I had a child that while i was on welfare because of a terrible economy that was created by the NY state/US gov't my child was born at that time & the state paid for the hospital but it was expected of me & i learned responsibility in a adult way after i went back to work i was required to pay that cost back . The state didn't tell me to have sex & create my child that was my decision so why should they pay for it so as a responsible adult that made a adult decision i paid back the state of NY for helping me out . I have nothing against help but to forgive this debt that has to be paid by others is teaching the wrong thing ! So being raised as a RESPONSIBLE ADULT by RESPONSIBLE PARENTS and the lord allowing me to have some common sense learning what my parents taught me that there are consequences to my actions i paid all of that back even though at the time it was very hard to even find a job which i could have very easily just sat on my ass & told the gov't i can't find a job & passed it on but didn't . I went out every single week looked for a job & when i couldn't find one i moved to another state to get one & paid off my debt because that's what a responsible culture teaches they don't teach the entitlement mind set they teach people to be responsible for their actions & repay debt that they incur ! So you can go on thinking this action & others taken by our gov't now & in the past is teaching the younger generation that this is a good thing i have to totally disagree . Have a good day ...

I have had a analogy for some of what goes on in todays world - if you take a standard bolt & a metric nut you can make the metric nut go on the standard bolt with enough force & it will hold but that is not the way it was intended or made to be . Basic economics can be compared from household to gov't it's just a lot bigger the more you borrow the more interest & if you don't pay it down the interest will eventually like it has with the US debt over take any payments made it's just common sense which isn't used in Gov't spending . With the raise when you add inflation across the board for everything you buy you have to spend more for the same things you purchased for less prior to & the increase in cost of materials & prices of cars going up plus the auto industry has to completely retool their manufacturing and those cost being passed on the pay raise is no longer a raise it's common sense . But you keep reading what Joe & this administration puts out & like i said you just keep singing the Journey song & it will all get better .

The Inflation Reduction Act is about as useful as the the "Affordable Health care act" which was in no way affordable i say that because before it's inception i was shopping insurance which was going to be $280 a month immediately after the "Affordable Health care act" was put into law it went to $600 a month ! This Inflation Reduction Act will cause more inflation not less you can't borrow money & expect it to bring down the deficit & as deep as the US is in debt borrowing more money is not the cure it is the reason why we have the highest inflation in history right now . And China will be a part of anything the US builds they are so deep into us now they basically run this country & we just keep going along with it because the business owners have moved all our manufacturing there if you don;t believe it look back at the pandemic when we had to wait to get things from them & the supply chain disruption that is still happening today .

Okay so by putting gas powered cars out of business and the rising costs of in just 2 years of making batteries being 144% then seeing as the US is already in some $33 trillion of debt how much more will this little change to completely rebuild the infrastructure to add all this added grid to suffice these cars ? Then for those that can't afford to pay some $76000 to $90000 dollars for say a pick up truck or instead of paying say $20000 for a kia they have to pay $40000 but can't afford it & the cost of gas you can bet will more than likely quadruple by that time too . So in another stroke of brilliance as can only be from the great state of California their illustrious leader/leaders have proposed a bill to ban ALL sales of new gas powered cars by the year 2035 . From now till then what will this do to the price of gas in the US not to mention the already ridiculous price of cars & trucks due to such a law ? Plus what else will come from this ? Maybe they will put a extra tax on those coming into the state that drive gas powered cars, maybe those that decide or can't afford to buy electric cars & keep their old gas powered cars will be charged more in a higher registration fee, & we know there will be higher taxes on gas in general to pay for the infrastructure change over . I could see if they would use just a little bit of common sense & maybe say in LA seeing as it has always had a smog problem for years making some kind of change there to cut back which i think would be good but this seems to go right along the same thoughts of giving out hypo's to drug addicts as long as they turn them back in after they use them . How's that stroke of genius working out ? I can see NYS & some others following along with this same kind of thing because of the big cities just because the brilliance in that & other government bodies are just about the same as that of California's ! I think in the long run the rush to put something like this into law will only do more harm than good because they as usual just rush into it with out much if any study on what it will exactly take to make this a success . Success & ramifications be damned because this is our idea so make it so number one despite the consequences !! Let's not start small study it & work up form there with the data gathered from it let's just do the hole enchilada and then when it does screw up we will deal with that by spending more money to fix that after it's implementation . If all of this was only caused by fossil fuels they may be onto something but there is much more to this entire equation but that doesn't fit the narrative or agenda to what they are trying to accomplish so put ALL the blame on cars only & do away with fossil fueled cars to make this a perfect fossil fuel to produce electric car type world .
