Did the Bills make any attempt to acquire Drew Brees from the Saints?:
We were not contacted by New Orleans or San Diego, about Brees or (Phil) Rivers.
Did I miss Rivers being mentioned or did Whaley bring that up on his own? If he brought it up on his own then that means Rivers...
there are so many more possibilities than just the MLB to cover the flat. The safety could come up. The corner could have the responsibility. If playing in zone where he(MLB) just basically has to be in front of the RB and tackle him after the catch spikes will be fine. There are ways to scheme around a players weakness.
if Harris and Bart Scott fit Rex's scheme than Brandon does just fine.
wouldn't change anything with me. I think woods is a better and has more value to the team. It's hard to compare different positions but woods has been more consistent, has made more and game changing plays and the best ability is availability. I Have had the same opinions since before the trade. I thought Kiko was good in coverage and pettine masked his weaknesses by not asking him to do much.
I don't get the star linebacker part. Kiko was showing signs that he could become a great backer but other than a handful of games kiko was average. Yes he made a lot of tackles but that's not a good way to decide greatness. Pettine didn't really use him many different ways. Almost every play was fake a blitz and drop into coverage in the flat. Once teams figured this out he wasn't really heard from anymore. I would say he is a good linebacker that has good coverage skills but not a star. I think woods has a bigger impact on games than kiko did. Kiko had the best defensive line in the league in front of him. Woods has QBs that are described as "meh" and produces.
that one fumble is burned into my memory. I love Bryce's skill set and hope he has a long productive career here but sitting in the end zone watching the pure joy on Bryce's face turn to horror as the ball was coming out will forever haunt me.
incognito is better at RG as is urbik. They will fight it out for that spot. Williams, Richardson and possibly kujo will fight it out for the LG. But I will say that lineup is better than last year
I agree. He is one of the better corners at staying with his man stride for stride. His ball awareness is getting better but has a decent way to go. If he could get that down he would be one of the best corners in the league. In a Rex Ryan defense I think McKelvin is the perfect corner as long as he doesn't lose his speed.
Also the fumbles have nothing to do with him playing corner. It's as a return man (which he is/was one of the best) don't hold it against him as a corner.
Also is this a depth chart or just a roster projection?
Bills and rams are 1a/b
dolphins and Texans are a toss up. Watt is better than anyone on the other 3 teams. Wilfork is old but still solid. Idk who their other DE is(im pretty sure clowney is a LB. But Hughes could be an old too)
Dolphins with wake, suh, Vernon is pretty good.
I would list them
1. Bills
2. Rams
3. Texans
4. Fish
I would guess IF Crabtree came our WRs would be in no particular order Sammy , Robert, Percy, krabapple, Easley and possibly hogan if we kept 6. But I would prefer Goodwin over hogan just on athleticism alone.
Wynn took a few days. Taylor as well. Harvin... exactly my point. Clay took a week even though numbers were reported a couple days ago. Felton as well. I love how everyone nit picks and twists things around. If you can't see it idk what to tell you. It's not that serious so idk why I'm even responding it's not like Whaley and overdorf have to stop everything they're doing to type out an announcement. They have employees that handle the press releases. Again not that serious. It was just an observation. Lol
I don't understand this offseason. The bills seem to be dragging their feet on everything. The Wynn signing was announced a while after it was reported. Clay and Harvin. What is going on
