Did love the thread, but the more I think about drafting a FQ, the more I remember our D on the field puking up 200 plus yards on the ground and opposing QB's having the time to tweet while looking for open receivers. We just have to get some playmakers on D. It looks like there's a few more of them to be had then a FQ this draft. Let's just get some front 7 help.

Please TSW, for once and for all get off the "move Bell to RT" crap. Hemet is dead nuts on this. Bell is not a RT and won't be. Bell made gains this year, without any time for conditioning and strength training due to rehabbing his knee. He should be better and stronger next year...but he's not a RT. Let's go get one in FA or the draft and stop thinking tackles can be flip flopped and be effective.

Good thread and the OP makes valid points. Sometimes you have to challenge your assumptions. Finding a FQ is more an art than a science. TSW would be well served to read this thread before blithely popping off about grabbing FQ when none seems at the ready.

Get real. Leonard is a ST-situational player and a back up. It's not Whitner's fault he got picked at #11. He's not a top 5 safety but don't get ignorant and tell us Leonard is better.

I'm with you on this Old Timer. Both points are well made. I wish TSW can make a point about a player's abilities and fit on a team without the hate and vitriol. Be passionate about our team without demonizing a player's personhood. I get mad every now and again and write something over the top (read Kelsay) but I regret it soon after. If a player needs to move on - fine, make your point but do it without the hate.

The OP has it right. I get sick of hearing how easy it is to trade down and get scads of picks. It ain't. If we can get a game changer at #3 let's just take him and shut the pie holes.

So that speaks more to Brady's abilities. I stand on my opinion. Belichek is a great coach but Brady made him the best.
