  1. He was a lot like Meatball. A bit taller but light for a DT - 275 or so. But he had the requisite lunch box and motor. Played hard. RIP.
  2. Can't say I disagree. Only McBean can get us over the hump and they need to do better than years past to do so.
  3. Solid, but I'm not a fan of Overshown. Too small. Our DT's can't keep our LBs clean.
  4. Gonna find out soon. I'm hoping McD can scheme to stop a team going 65 yards in 13 seconds.
  5. Born and raised in B-lo and now in Rochester. Old but not cootish, and want to see a championship in B-lo before some Gen Z is feeding me oatmeal at the home.
  6. Been following the team since 1963. I'm ready for the destination.
  7. I think it's time to move on. He's not producing $11 mil worth and will be gone next year with no compensation in FA. He did play 62% of the snap counts, which I think is the most by our DL. So, to your point, it would be good to have a replacement lined up, but I still think the time to move on him is now.
  8. I see both sides of this. Last year, when we really needed a play and Diggs was doubled, nobody could seem to get separation and get open. My opinion is it's both on Dorsey and our #2&3 receivers. Dorsey had little care of situational football awareness when dialing up a bomb on a 3rd and 2 on a crucial ball control drive. Davis caught only 50% of his targets and Knox was kept in to chip or outright block as our RT is dreadful. So we signed some speed, but it's only potential. How good would it be to have a real proven #2 to give Josh another quality option? And if not now, when?
  9. Phenomenal in the regular season, so we make the playoffs and get bounced in our window and Josh's prime. We won't get over the hump signing average players.
  10. Methinks Beane is in love with Brown's athletism and he ain't going anywhere. He's betting on Brown being healthy and taking a step next season. I am not as optimistic.
  11. Have to agree with some of this. He's a great player. But a team has to build an entire offense around his skill set and hope his legs hold up, which has been an issue. It's too big a chance to take on a 100% guaranteed contract.
  12. Have to agree. Our Oline scared nobody last year and it won't this year. So when we need 3rd and 2, it's Josh getting a pounding again while our line gets pushed back consistently. Beane loves flexible lineman who play multiple positions but dominant in none. It's a finesse line that does okay with Super Josh at the helm until we meet a playoff team with a great DC who makes one dimensional.
  13. To me it's a solid under the radar signing. He doesn't need to be the #1. Just get some YAC and be an easy button pass for Josh. He's got the speed and separation skills to do just that. He's a puzzle piece we need and lacked this past season. No let's get some more OL in the draft and WR2.
  14. Gives us the opportunity to bring a young safety along. Only so many holes you can fill in a season. This gives us a solid veteran presence as our CBs are likely to be young if Tre cannot find his game again.
  15. Only commented on his guard play. Thought he was kinda light for run blocking.
  16. Nope, but my coworker is a huge Dallas fan and says he's okay, plays a lot of spots but dominates in none. So capable, better than what we have, for that I am happy. Better in pass pro but hardly a mauler. Similar to Morse. Not going to impose their will on many.
  17. Jeebus, okay, you love the guy. I am underwhelmed. Just feels like a Beane budget OL signing. I am hoping for some OL hope in the draft.
  18. No, but what have you done for me lately? Be nice to have a consistent force somewhere on this OL.
  19. Be nice if true. He's ranked 79th in run blocking, doesn't assuage my fears of Josh continuing to get battered every time we need a yard.
  20. Well that's the point. Being a level up from Saffold is not the bar I want to measure our FA IOL signings.
  21. I am also sick of not making 3rd and short because our IOL can't make a yard.
  22. Well, it certainly feels like a vintage Beane midling OL signing. I was hoping our Oline could get us a yard or 2 on 3rd and short. This guy looks like he he has less of a push than Morse. So much for a stud IOL. Still going to be a finesse team.
