  1. Are you taking into account the possibilty of a super boring teacher who brings the zombie out of kids? I've had plenty of those. I'm still gonna put my money on the kid. Maybe not this year, or next...& maybe not even with the Jests. But when it's all said & done, I believe he'll end up being a respected NFL QB
  2. I don't care what Judman's golfing buddy said, Geno is far from stupid...and Joe 6 Pack, there's not a thing wrong with his tude. He may be a tad sensitive, but the Big Apple will help thicken his skin. Watch him with Gruden & judge for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vv-VdQRYvyc
  3. Let's hope this is a case of the blind squirrell finding the nut!
  4. Nobody said that. Just pleased so far at indications at this early juncture. We're aware things can change. One thing that impressed me though was how puny Geno looked next to E.J. in a draft day photo, which means little of course...just an observation.
  5. Gotta admit, I was in the Geno camp before the draft, but now I'm glad things turned out the way they did...especially in lieu of what Marrone has said about Manuel.
  6. When all else fails, lower your standards! Enter the Senator..."19 & 0 Baby!"
  7. Be afraid...be very afraid. There's no way we'll be able to adjust after Nix's well spoken and smooth delivery style
  8. Here's what makes the most sense to me. Tell E.J., KK, & TJax on day one..."You all have a 33.33% chance at this juncture to be the starting QB for the Buffalo Bills on Sept 8th...may the best man win". Then let them compete for it, & pick the one that gives us the best chance to win on opening day. I think it's ridiculous at this point to say who should do what. Let it play out...simple!
  9. Could he be the ONLY college QB to say to his agent pre-draft, "I hope the Bills take me"? Anybody on this board recall that ever happening before?
  10. Could you be a little more specific please?
  11. You're right...it was just the first team with a great turn around in the standings to pop into my head...but I'm sure there's many examples that can be cited where a mediocre team had a great draft, accompanied by a new & efficient coaching staff, to make it to the playoffs in the same year. I'm drinking the Kool-aid this year & believe we fit into that category. I think I can speak for most on this board that this re-building thing is getting old. My hair has turned gray while waiting for it. I believe we can win 10 or more games this year with what's happened to this team.
  12. It's possible...2012 Indianapolis Colts. I care about every game & want to win every single one! We've been trying to build a solid team for over a decade. With a healthy draft & good coaching, anything can happen. When I read what you said...that you didn't care about winning, I just couldn't let that slide...sorry.
  13. When all else fails, lower your standards
  14. Logic and Howard Cosell's nephew told me to pick Nassib, although my heart lies with Geno
  15. For the life of me, I can't understand the loyalty to Buddy Nix on the part of Russ Brandon. It boggles my mind. His list of mistakes is quite long. During his initial presser, he said that he wasn't the smartest guy in the room. At least he wasn't wrong about everything.
  16. Shortly after Pettine was hired, he said that if the opposing offense knows what the defense is gonna do pre-snap, there is zero chance of stopping them, regardless of the talent on that defense. That was Wanny... failing to disguise any of his schemes. This was plainly obvious after the back to back debacles with the Patiots & 9ers in games 4 & 5. I called for his firing then. He simply is wayyy behind the times & not qualified to be an NFL DC in today's game.
  17. I'll tell ya what scares me...clicking into this forum one day only to find that everybody is writing random nonsensical gibberish, and having to depend on the local sportwriters for my Bills info.
  18. Of course! What am I thinking? The Bills have never wasted a pick You totally missed my point PTR. I don't believe in wasting picks, any more than you. I'm just saying that we know Fitz can't get it done, lets give him the pink slip & draft a QB in the first round, in the hope that he'll emerge like Russell Wilson did, along with trying to acquire Flynn or Smith, and turn the page on this whole Fitz thing. I can't stomach another year of a career journeyman back-up with the keys to this car...& if it doesn't pan out, I'm ok with it...at least we tried. It's better than watching the Fitz re-run this year.
  19. Sorry, but I'm to the point where I rather waste a pick in trying, than to waste another year watching Fitz choke. Does that make sense to you?
  20. I don't disagree with anything you said. I'm just saying Polian could be wrong. We could acquire Flynn or Smith & they could be stellar. Or we could draft Nassib or someone else & they could emerge. We do know this though...Fitz has some good qualities, but when we need him the most, he goes AWOL. We don't have a choice...we need to replace him.
  21. Bill Polian....hmmm...the name sounds familiar. Oh wait, isn't he the guy that thought Curtis Painter was an adequate back-up for #18? The bottom line - no one really knows (i.e. Russell Wilson...pick # 75 last year)
  22. If he or she got us to the playoffs, you would learn to love those pink polka dots!
  23. Weird...I don't even think about skin color until this idiotic stuff crops up in the news. The Rooney Rule works against the cause, noble as it seems on the surface. I really don't believe any HC, OC, or DC hirings or firings this year had a smidgen to do with skin color. The Rooney Rule needs to be scrapped! Hire the best man (or woman) for cryin out loud, even if he/she is purple with pink polka dots.
