  1. eh what exactly as a football player does he deserve respect for? Being part of a losing culture on losing teams cause he made a few plays here and there and was sometimes competant enough to not be the worst player on awful teams getting awful coaching? He seems like a nice person, but he's not a good safety.
  2. This is beyond retarded. I played tackle football from age 7-18. Yes along the way I suffered a few concussions but I wouldn't trade a single moment of the fun I had doing so in the name of Big Brothers protection. The benefits that come out of playing organized sports far outweigh any of the negatives. Let kids be kids.
  3. Makes sense solid ilb in the prime of his career. Would be a good ilb to build around especially knowing the system. Hopefully out of the other lbs we got it would be ideal if sheppard and bradham could step up. Although I got more hope for Bradham than Shep at this point.
  4. stupid idea fields are fine the way they are
  5. It's only a new trend if you're the Bills. This has been going on for awhile.
  6. We have a potential chris canty on our team with Alex Carrington. However adding Canty for depth wouldn't be a bad move at all. Bradshaw will catch on somewhere else. I could see him actually staying in east ruthorford as a member of gang green.
  7. He started 11 games and had a hamstring injury he played in all 16. A healthy boley wouldnt be a bad pickup
  8. Not surprising at all. The higher seeded teams tend to be the new wave of passing offenses who put up a lot of points and become the trendy picks. The teams that win in the playoffs where games are called looser and teams are allowed to play defense thus making defense become more important and while they have good qbs aren't so qb dependant are the teams that win in the postseason. I imagine in the coming years you'll also see a similar trend in the NHL. Scoring scoring scoring, but it'll be the more sturdy defensive teams that will win conference championships and the ultimately the cup.
  9. +1 David Nelson was def missed this year. Shame people dont realize that.
  10. No to Boldin while I think he's effective receiver he's 33 years old and would be nothing more than a stop gap. Kruger will probably price himself out.
  11. Predictability? The Milkman? The Paperboy? and even tv?
  12. There's also that wake is a rush end/backer and 2 inches shorter and 40lbs lighter. Armstead is a defensive tackle. Of course he's not gonna match wakes sack total in the CFL or the NFL or anywhere. They're different players at different positions
  13. The Bills have had a lot of awful drafts especially in the 2000's starting with 2002- 2002 1 - Mike Williams T Texas 2 - Josh Reed WR Louisiana State 2 - Ryan Denney DE Brigham Young 3 - Coy Wire DB Stanford 5 - Justin Bannan DT Colorado 6 - Kevin Thomas DB UNLV 7 - Mike Pucillo G Auburn 7 - Rodney Wright WR Fresno State 7 - Jarrett Ferguson RB Virginia Tech 7 - Dominique Stevenson LB Tennessee How about 2004 2004 1 - Lee Evans WR Wisconsin 1 - J.P. Losman QB Tulane 3 - Tim Anderson DT Ohio State 4 - Tim Euhus TE Oregon State 7 - Dylan McFarland T Montana 7 - Jonathan Smith RB Georgia Tech It gets worse the next year 2005 2 - Roscoe Parrish WR Miami (FL) 3 - Kevin Everett TE Miami (FL) 4 - Duke Preston C Illinois 5 - Eric King DB Wake Forest 6 - Justin Geisinger G Vanderbilt 7 - Lionel Gates RB Louisville and is progressively worse year after year. Sure we got a few players here and there, but for anyone wondering why this team can't ever put it together too many of our good players are coming from later rounds. This whole decade has been awful draft after awful draft
  14. What makes Flacco any different than the top qbs in the league. He's won playoff games in each of his first 5 years and is now in a superbowl. His overall numbers are above average. Btw he's the only qb in NFL history to win playoff games in his first 5 years. How exactly is he "not elite"? Because he didn't do it sooner? So I guess in that case Eli is also "not elite". Hell how long did it take Peyton to get to a superbowl? Flacco has been nothing short of outstanding this postseason and has one of the strongest arms in the NFL. He's worth the money for a guy who's only 27 years old. He's basically been a better version of Roethlisberger and he'll probably stay healthier cause he doesn't take the amount of unnecessary hits Ben has taken
  15. Eagles over the Pats being a Eagles fan before I became a Bills fan kind of follow the Eagles pretty closely would've liked to see that team win. Mcnabb to Owens was a hell of a qb/wr combo while it lasted, and imho no defense was more fun to watch than Jim Johnsons Eagle's defense
  16. agreed. For where he was drafted not great by any stretch. I always kind of viewed him as a poor mans Lawyer Milloy. I'd still rather have Whitner than George Wilson
  17. No you're 100% correct Spiller gets out of the gate great. Can cut on a dime backtrack then go forward again all while losing while losing very little speed. His ability to make people miss is the greatest thing I've seen since Barry (not saying he's the next Barry just his ability to make people miss) all while losing very little speed. His top end speed while great he's not the fastest guy in the league.
  18. I wish the Bills had 1 player with near the passion for the game that Ray Lewis has. He's been a tremendous asset to the sport of Football and a hell of a player to watch over the years. I know this is the "HarBowl" or whatever anyone wants to call it, but to me it's an almost passing of the guard type game regardless of who wins/loses from Ray Lewis to Patrick Willis. A Legendary 1st ballot HOF player to the next great MLB of the game of professional football. Nothing makes me happier as a fan of the game knowing traditional football won out over the finesse teams of NE/ATL.
  19. I don't know if anyones mentioned this, but for an AFC Championship game in NE there sure was a hell of a lot of Ravens fans. Pretty sad display imo
  20. You made a blanket statement without supplying that info. As I tend not to follow the personal lives of NFL players I did not know he beats women but yeah that alone would classify him as a thug. The Hits to the head thing I look at as it's football. Didn't say that. You said why would the steelers want to get rid of him I said to get younger. Worlids is a young improving player though whos worthy of more playing time and Harrison is 35.
