  1. Toney is intriguing, but would he get snaps? If he pushes Gabe Davis off the field, does that really improve the team much? I don’t mind the idea of an OL, especially one who is supposed to be a powerful run blocker, but what would you do with Mayfield - compete vs Cody Ford for one OG spot? I would not be disappointed with Etienne, but I think the run blocking was the biggest problem last year - I know many disagree and think that Singletary and Moss were the problem with the run game.
  2. I chose Molden, but mainly because I would not want to gamble on Oweh’s talent with little production or on Barmore’s obvious talent and production- but inconsistent efforts.
  3. Oweh had zero sacks in 7 games last year. He will be drafted on potential, not on production.
  4. Maybe, but he would really struggle at 4-3 DE at 6’3” and 240. I’m not sure he is as flexible/fluid as Von Miller. He IS very young as a RS Sophomore, so maybe there is upside, but he is pretty raw. Does he have the length to be effective rushing the passer in the league?
  5. He is talented for sure, but he has already quit football once in college due to concussions only to resurface in Miami.
  6. Well, I think a young DE is the biggest need, but I don’t think the draft sets up well to find one there - if lucky, they may get a Shaq Lawson level player at end of round 1. I’d be more inclined to take a CB to improve coverage giving the lineman we do have a bit longer to get home.
  7. Agree that it is rarely, if ever, pure BPA as teams often have a number of players rated with similar grades. In that case, they will opt for one of the similarly rated players at a position of greater need or importance. I do think that to take a DE at 30, they would have to pass over players that they will have higher grades on, so I am hoping for them not to do that. I don’t see a pass rusher who will likely be available at 30 who would really make a big difference for this team this coming season. The Bills and others may, of course, disagree with that.
  8. I think best hope is continued improvement from Epenesa and more pressure from Ed Oliver with Star back to eat up some blocks. I thought that Epenesa was improving as the season wore on. I am not sure that the DE class this year - at least who might be available at 30 or later is very full of top pass rushers. I think they would have to pass over better prospects at other positions like CB and OL to take a DE at 30.
  9. WAS better than Sanders when both were in their primes, however Sanders has been more productive recently. no doubt, I would have been excited to get AJ Green, but he is not the player now that we remember from several years ago. Green had 46 receptions in 2018, none in 2019, and 47 last season. Meanwhile Sanders had 208 receptions over the same time period, including 61 last season.
  10. Lotta guys who don’t have to answer for bad contracts in a few years throwing stones now because Bills are not spending like drunken sailors or “going all in”. What team is spending recklessly without consideration for the future? Maybe a team or two is mortgaging the future to win now. Remember, Bills still need to give Josh Allen a contract. No doubt, same folks would be decrying “bad contracts” if Allen gets seriously hurt and has a short career...
  11. But, do you have the required qualifications? His credentials include that he was a long-time NFL player...
  12. I could understand an argument that a 1, 2 or 3 pick could be used on a WR. Yet, I could see an argument for DE, CB, OL (backupOT/Possible starting OG), TE, etc. I think this year especially they will want to go with their BPA at each of the first 3 picks. Picking very late in the rounds, it would be prudent not to reach to fill any needs. Understand, thanks.
  13. What has John Ross done in the NFL? He caught 2 passes last season and has 51 total for his career. I’m sure that as a high draft choice the Bengals gave him lots of opportunities to earn his way onto the field.
  14. Agree that the pass rushers are drying up in FA. I’m not sure that there will be a pass rusher whose value lines up with the Bills late first round pick, either. We are aligned that a vet WR, if affordable, would be valuable for depth at the position. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if they can afford even a modest free agent signing. Maybe they can...
  15. I don’t think anyone is arguing that the team doesn’t need some WR depth beyond the starting 3. However, I think the only path to a good WR who could step into the lineup seamlessly in case of injury is an early draft choice (this year). I don’t think that they can reasonably afford to bring in a vet FA that fits that description this offseason. Maybe I am wrong, but I think any significant FA $ is likely to be needed elsewhere (CB or DE I am thinking). I am not necessarily saying to draft a WR in the first two rounds, but I could understand if they need to for quality cheap depth.
  16. Agreed that depth at WR is needed. I don’t think we need starter level player there though. Now, if you want to draft a slot WR that can be ready to replace Beasley when he retires, I could see doing that as early as round 2.
  17. I think that Beasley and Davis were both playing hurt against KC and Brown had been out several Agnes with injury.
  18. WR2? I think that is Gabe Davis.
  19. Corner in round one or 2nd at the latest...
  20. That would be "think he is decent" and I do. He is not Barry Sanders, but he can be effective as he was in his rookie year at 5+ yards/carry. Watch his rookie highlights and tell me he can't be at least part of the answer with decent blocking.
  21. Question is are either of them worth trading 2nd or 3rd to move up for? Phillips has a lot of injury history and even quit football at one point. Not sure if Ossai is that good or not.
  22. Disagree - I think that Antoine Winfield was very good and had a long NFL career. I don’t think Moore ok Toney will be around late in round 2. I would add CB as possible BPA as well.
  23. I wouldn't think that Hunt is a culture fit after he hit that woman on video.
  24. How many times did both RBs have to elude tacklers in the backfield? Many times was my perception. The OL did not have a lot of continuity last year with Feliciano out for first half of season, Ford moving from T to G and then being injured, Williams taking over early from Ford and Morse missing time with injury as well. That could have affected run blocking. I agree, it would be great to have a super-fast back, but I don't think that would have changed many of the negative run plays last year as they would still have had to dodge defenders in the backfield. Yes, maybe a bit quicker start with exceptional decisiveness might sneak through a few more small holes before they close, but I don't think Chris Johnson in his prime would have been very effective with the run blocking the BIlls had last year. Was it injuries/lack of continuity? Was it scheme? Was it the OL talent itself? Was it the RBs? I don't know, but I think both Bills backs can be decent NFL backs given some blocking.
  25. I’ll give you that - this line was jumbled all year due to injuries. Feliciano missed first 7 or 8 games, Mitch Morse was injured, Ford played hurt then finally went out...
