  1. To each his own. It's nice he enjoys being in the area and comes goes back to visit. Why all the venom?
  2. True. Because Gilmore got cooked. McCourty has to take Smoke. He was Gilmore’s man.
  3. Interesting predictions. I agree on 11-5. I think you have undersold the offense though. Too much talent for so many low scoring games.
  4. Nah. I can take you to neighborhoods where there are block after block of people who couldn't tell you anything about hockey, what the rules of the game even are, have never laced on a pair skates and have no desire to. Hockey is popular in certain pockets and development of players is excellent in those pockets. Buffalo, at heart, is a Buffalo Bills town. Since they started and on through today, and always will be. I would say Buffalo is more of a football city. A majority know the game, have played the game and are passionate about the game. That crosses all demographics in town. I'll go one further -- If Buffalo had a MLB team that team would be more popular than the Sabres too.
  5. How do you know there’s a better option? They’re in camp. Others having workouts aren’t. Must be a reason. And it could be the guys the Bills have can actually play.
  6. This is true. However, what some don’t seem to acknowledge is that the pre-existing condition itself, in many of these cases, would not have caused the passing of these individuals. They would have lived with being obese, diabetic or a cancer survivor. Contracting the virus is what killed them. Which brings us back to following scientific protocols like mask wearing, as you stated. But too many people are being needlessly careless.
  7. Is he adopted? He looks nothing like Mr. Davis.
  8. There would definitely be a legal battle over it. But the strength of the organization’s case depends on the evidence they have. Like I said, these fights probably won’t be the only ammunition they have against Thomas. I suspect other details will start to leak out. In a sport where on the field dustup’s are not rare, it’s telling that teammates want him gone. There has to be other stuff going on; how bad is that stuff is the question.
  9. Joe Buscaglia mentioned him specifically in one of his camp write-ups on The Athletic this past Thursday. Mentioned how he started making a name for himself in last year’s camp, and that it continues this camp. Said he’s showing up again.
  10. The fights are most likely not isolated events. If teammates want him gone there are more incidents, whatever they might be, that haven’t gotten out. This latest thing was the last straw for them.
  11. “Find A Way” is this season’s motto. It’s hanging on signs around the practice facility.
  12. He can contribute at WR though if need be. He can run reverses and gadget plays. Roberts has some giddy-up to him. I think he’s more versatile than McKenzie bc you can trust him to catch and hold the ball on returns too.
  13. You’re totally underselling Roberts. I believe he was top 10 in punt and kick returns last season, and, to my eye, still looks explosive when he runs. He also can do those facet plays McKenzie does now if the staff chooses to keep only 6 WRs.
  14. Not necessarily. No pre-season games means there will probably be more hitting in practice. Need bodies so dudes don’t get worn out. Also, Harry is coming back from a serious injury. The staff might want to break him in slowly; and be covered in case he isn’t quite the same.
  15. Truth. When healthy, Moss will make some people miss and he can run at a good pace too. He’s not just a run into people guy. I don’t know why people only mention his physicality. Actually, Moss Kind of reminds me of Frank Gore w/the 49ers and Mark Ingram.
  16. Milano is a good player and he is extremely valuable in McD’s defense. When he doesn’t play it is noticeable in defensive performance. He’s probably in that $10-$12 million dollar range. He shouldn’t Be lower than 10. I think 14 is high.
  17. The ability to make a good decision is a highly underrated skill.
  18. I think the schools are valuing money, but in a different way. The fact they even had players return to campuses that will mostly be shut down to “regular” students was about money., and the vast amounts that would be lost. But, 5 college players have contracted Myocarditis after Covid diagnoses. The long term affect of that is still unknown, but in the worst case scenario could lead to lawsuits against schools in the future. School presidents don’t want to deal with that potential. Also, having players back when other students are not makes it obvious these kids are employees which opens up the pay for play discussion again. I know the university leadership does not want that either. All of these decisions are about money. I hear you, but to play devils advocate, the kids are practicing and working out in the spring anyway. In this case, practices would lead to games.
  19. Because you do not want to acknowledge a thing exists, does not make a thing not exist. Because you speak aggressively, at times, ignorantly, does not make you accurate or correct or, even, reasonable. History will continue to back me up. And lastly, I do nothing surreptitiously. However, as I said, we’ll agree to disagree. Enjoy your Sunday. ?
  20. There is so much that is problematic in your assertions. BLM is relatively new. If they are your hang up, fine. Racism is far from a new construct, nor is the systemic tendrils of it. There was no BLM in 1619, 1776, 1850, etc. Acknowledging racism is not a far left ideaology, but a common sense outlook that one can gain by reading books on slavery, reconstruction, Black codes of that era, Jim Crow, redlining and the suburbanization of America. Or you can simply observe. The Southern Christian Leadership Conference and Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committe we’re both seen, by many in the late 50’s-60’s as “radical” and out of the norm in their day. Their is no movement against racism that is totally embraced, particularly by those who actively practice it or benefit. Not all white people are racists or intentionally discriminatory, but there are many who are. But as I said to DFT, we’ll agree to disagree. ✌?
  21. I don’t always make it, but I do try to keep things respectful. We’ll agree to disagree. ??
  22. Agree. Especially if Patterson was on a roll.
  23. 1. The bolded part was more of that scripture he used, and my suggestion of how he could have used it in an answer regarding the current climate in the country at large, not related to his specific comment about guns (although it’s a weird “joke“ to tell). Giving part of that scripture leaves out an important part of it that is entirely relevant to what is going on. 2. He provided part of a scripture. An application would be the actions taken based on that scripture, i.e. the works. I didn’t miss anything. Love God and love people. There’s many who claim to love God and hate certain people. The scripture states it’s not possible to do both. So, he could have said turn away from race based violence or discrimination. THAT is an application. Telling someone they should put out fires is right. Telling them to, therefore, call the fire dept. or douse the fire with water if it’s small enough is an application.
