This is 100% a fans expectation. Players from all over the league say they don't need or see a reason to play in preseason. Most of them play to not get hurt anyways.

No, There is zero reward to doing so and players from all over the league are saying so. Preseason is for bubble roster battles and rookies.

The good news about Cook. He wasn't a workhorse in college so his body doesnt have the beating on it that some of these guys do coming out. The bad thing about Cook. If used correctly, could be a great addition. but don't expect a between the tackles back.
