I keep seeing these. What are they from? -
I'd get rid of the second wild card and make all rounds best of 7. It may take away some late season suspense, but it would improve the integrity of the game.

Marcel Dareus cited for weed possession in Florida

That was smart on their part. Unless the state can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he knew it was there and what it was they can't get a conviction. With 3 other people in the car that's usually a steep hill to climb. -
Gruden didnt want Haskins
Rob's House replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dan Snyder is just a rich fan who bought a team & thinks that makes him a football executive. I could easily see the following having taken place: Haskins was more media hype than top prospect. No one talked about him until the end of the year when focus shifted to the draft and there was no top QB prospect . Sports media needed the big QB prospect for ratings & Haskins fit the bill. He had the stats, frame, arm, and D1 success. Top draft pundits propped him up, other draft pundits repeated what those guys said, and voila, Haskins becomes a top 5 prospect. Real NFL execs don't pay much mind to media evaluations, but fans do. And Dan Snyder is a fan. So when the media's top 5 prospect fell to 15, Snyder thought it was too good to pass up. The experienced football professionals he hired to run his team disagreed, but he knows better, so he overruled them and pulled the trigger. Now Washington has a project QB who's nowhere near ready for prime time, with all the pressure and expectations of a first round QB, and a coach who never wanted him. What they don't have is an impact player they could have taken with the 15th overall pick. Jay Gruden will take the fall for failing to make chicken salad out of chicken *****. -
The Athletic: Brett Favre’s Advice to Josh Allen
Rob's House replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It only seems daunting to the uninitiated. Just put Tibs on ignore and it suddenly becomes an interesting discussion of current events and political philosophy. -
I don't know how you can claim there's no false information being used here when we know Adam Schiff made allegations that have been incontrovertibly proven false, and lied about his contacts with the so-called "whistleblower." You keep repeating this mantra about the President pressuring a foreign leader to give up information about corruption that could implicate Biden, but so what? That in itself is not a crime, nor is it necessarily corrupt or unethical. So why are we putting President Trump under a microscope over allegations of relatively nothing while turning a blind eye to a Congress that is clearly abusing it's power in ways that are necessarily corrupt and are a legitimate threat to the stability of our government and society? If you replace "Trump" with "Schiff" your posts will sound less like the paranoid ravings of a lunatic.

Is it really, though? It seems the real story is a corrupt, calculated, and dishonest campaign by sitting Dems to impeach a President for political purposes based on false information. That's a far bigger story than the President squeezing the leader of another country for intel. Why aren't you concerned about that?

I don't know what board you were reading, but people were constantly complaining that he wasn't a competent #2 and we needed to upgrade from him. It wasn't everyone, but it was a very popular position at the time.

You're just scratching the surface. Wait until the truth comes out about his dealings with the Samurai. I'm talking collusion of Russian proportions. You don't even want to know. He's in bed with everyone, playing all sides against each other. It's diabolical. If he's not stopped before he puts his final solution in motion it will be the end of the republic as we know it. The fate of the free and oppressed worlds hangs in the balance. Our only hope is Adam Schiff finding a way to spin this nothing burger into a double quarter pounder with cheese before the ignorant masses re-elect this kitty-grabbing traitor.

Bi-Partisan Support For Impeachment

^^Why would you do that? -
I told you it's just a nick name. It's not on my birth certificate.

You're missing an important detail. There is a little known, but often used canon of textual construction that holds that any allegation leveled against President Trump is to be viewed in the light most favorable to the accusing party. Also, the allegation creates a presumption of guilt that stands unless and until and after such allegations are proven false beyond a reasonable and/or unreasonable doubt. downloadfile-4.bin

Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
Rob's House replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
For the leftists out there, I know it upsets you that the establishment lost, and I know how desperately you want it to regain power, but you shouldn't fret. Time is on your side. As we continue to move toward Idiocracy, the masses will increasingly empower the federal bureaucracy. You may not personally live long enough to experience the joy of living under authoritarian rule, but the odds are pretty good that your children, or at least your grand children, will. And isn't it all about the children anyway? -
Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
Rob's House replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Just remember that no matter what happens from now until the end of time, Donald Trump won the Presidential election. He defeated Hill-dog and the entire political establishment and became your President. It can never be undone. Even if the Dems were to somehow manage to remove him it doesn't matter. It already happened and it can't be erased. He will forever be referred to as President Trump.
