I realize it's just one half, that all QBs struggle at times, especially young ones going up against top defenses, but watching Allen today is more than a little bit discouraging. -

WTF was that? -
Gruden's had some tough luck on that team. He followed a 4-12 debut season (an improvement from his predecessor) with 2 winning seasons. After a down year in 2017 (7-9) they looked poised to make the playoffs starting 6-3 before losing their QB (and then losing their b/u QB) to injury. Now they're paying a A Smith a huge chunk of money to rehab. I don't know how much influence Gruden has over personnel, but it's fair to wonder if the reason for some of their draft blunders and personnel problems (i.e. mediocre talents like Josh Norman eating up their cap space) is their meddling owner. Snyder is a fan who thinks he knows better than the pros, and can't seem to help himself from overruling them. He's the common denominator in Washington over the last 20+ years.

Bi-Partisan Support For Impeachment
Rob's House replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I haven't had time to research the issue, but if "orange man bad" is grounds for impeachment I'm afraid President Trump's days in office are numbered. -

The poor kid doesn't know any better. Her parents indoctrinated her and pimped her out to the cause. It's sad, really. -
President Trump should give a press conference to announce that multiple reliable sources have provided corroborated accounts of Adam Schitt using the power of his office to facilitate the systematic molestation of prepubescent boys by himself and his pederast friends, and that he is ordering a full blown investigation into Schitt's child molestation ring. Then come out two days later and say he was just joking around.

Categorically, no. But it's gone far beyond the point of absurdity with the constant calls for politically motivated investigations into any and every possible break with puritanical ethical idealism, regardless of the severity of the charge alleged or reliability of the person bringing the allegation. The fact that this is front page news and you have major news outlets and elected members of Congress discussing impeachment with a straight face is far more concerning than anything alleged in that complaint.

Perhaps this depends on how you define "environmentalist" and what exactly you mean by man-made global warming. If you're saying that the fringe extremists believe it to their core I may buy that. Or if you're saying the average left-winger believes in an abstract sense that man's aggregate carbon emissions may have some effect on climate that might possibly have some negative implications for the planet at some undetermined point down the road, I may buy that too. What I'm referring to is the mainstream left-wing doctrine that claims man-made carbon emissions are rapidly creating a global warming effect that will lead to doomsday scenarios in the coming decades (or 12 years according to some elected Dems in Congress), and to those who claim to believe it. I think their approach to the issue betrays their proclaimed conviction, and I have yet to hear a persuasive argument to the contrary. To your credit, even if it was not your intent, I think you provided them as solid a defense as one could, given the fact pattern. -

I see. I still think if they really believed that global destruction was imminent and that reducing carbon emissions would avert it they would at the very least be open to learning more about the one and only carbon neutral energy source known to man that can produce a significant amount of energy. To be clear, I don't think many of these people are consciously lying about it. I think they believe that they believe, but on a subconscious level they know it's bunk, otherwise they'd be serious about addressing the problem. Everyone knows solar panels, wind mills, hybrid cars, and symbolic treaties aren't going to put a dent in global carbon emissions. Not even a small one. -

So your defense of them is that they're not full of *****, they're just dumb as *****?
