The 2nd wild card spot in the AFC
Rob's House replied to KikO M G's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NO is definitely a winnable game. They're streaky. They barely eeked by TB and didn't look all that spectacular against a NE team that was kinda off. I haven't put that one in the L column yet. -
Kyle Williams' penalty
Rob's House replied to Bills Fan since '64's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's really no excuse for it. I understand that things happen fast on the field & no one can get it right every time, but a call like this doesn't lend itself to that kind of excuse. It's just a sorry ref who inserted himself into a part of the game where he didn't belong. That's an absolutely huge call that might well have changed the outcome, over virtually nothing. He should be reprimanded by the league. -
I wish nothing but the best for Fitz, but seeing the nosedive TN has taken with him at the helm really makes me appreciate what Chan Gailey was able to accomplish here.

We're not out of this by a long shot. We have a string of winnable games coming up. Miami's dropped their last 2, the Pats just showed us the blueprint to shutting down the Saints, KC's good, but they haven't exactly been dominating top teams, and the Steelers have 1 win. If we can take 2 of those 4 we go into a nice stretch only 2 games below .500 and face NYJ, ATL, TB, and Jax (not one team over .500; combined record of 4-18). If we can take 3 of those 4 we're sitting at .500 with 2 games to go - both division games, the last one against a NE team that has probably clinched the division and is resting up for the playoffs. I'm not buying playoff tickets just yet, but the road to 9-7 isn't impossible, and 9-7 could land a playoff spot. And even if not, a winning season would be huge.

"Wow, just Wow" I cringe every time I hear this god awful phrase, or see someone type it. I mean, it's nails on a chalk board bad. You would look cooler imitating Miley Ray Cyrus or singing a Backstreet Boys song at Karaoke, or even talking like a valley girl as a 40 year old man in 2013.If you're that guy, you're actually the modern day incarnation of the guy quoting that Joey guy from that show in the early 90s that had the catch phrase "woah". Honestly, did anyone use this cheese dick phrase prior to Elena Kagan? Seriously? You can't say this without sounding like a nutless, emasculated douche. Please, for your sake, my sake, and the sake of our society at large, please help to put an end to this scourge by refraining from saying this crap, and harshly and unmercifully ridiculing the feminine hygiene products you here regurgitating it. Thank You.

It was a tale of two defenses. First half D was tragic. Second half D was respectable. I was just glad to see our DC can make halftime adjustments. -

Not to mention their propensity to sum up a 1000+ page health insurance bill into two sentences, yet find the arguments of John Kerry to be complex and nuanced. -

Why would I vote out the guys in my party when the guys in the other party are the ones who are causing all the problems? -

Who know how the draft will unfold, but seeing as how there's no viable b/u QB on the roster, if a viable prospect (e.g. Murray, Mettenberger, McCarron, Manzelli) drops to the 3rd, we could pick him up a la Kirk Cousins. That way they don't have to put EJ on notice, and we get a viable b/u and/or prospect so if this time next year EJ is still playing like a rookie we're already training his replacement. -

I've noticed lately that's been the default response from libs on virtually everything. They can't argue for their policies on the merits so they immediately change the subject to effect on party popularity. -
It could be he has no more relationship with the child than a sperm donor who writes a check. I know a guy who knocked up a girl on a one nighter. She had a new bf by the time the child was born, she & the other guy raise it, & the guy still sends her a check, but has no contact otherwise - he's married with a child now, and everyone's happy. Without knowing the dynamic you can't really judge him.

What's scary is that even if Gaytorman is just a tool, there are literally millions of voting morons who see the issue through these simplistic child-like eyes, and think their inability to grasp the complexity of the situation makes them virtuous. -

I'm not too thrilled with EJ either. I'm not as down on him as you are, because he has skills & may develop into a top 10-15 QB with time, but if he's not showing vast improvement over the last quarter of the season I'd draft his potential replacement ASAFP and let them battle it out. BTW - you can delete your misapplied vote. -

Hope you had a big breakfast TGregg, because you’re going to need it. How you gonna go against an army with handgun? I know the judge has great wisdom, so I can only assume he made such a pairing not because he wanted to see an even debate, but because he wanted to see a proverbial curb stomping because TGregg (Who will hereinafter be referred to as PGregg {the P stands for kitty}) is not a worthy adversary. DCTom with the chip firmly panted upon his shoulder, and his pompous condescending nature, might well have been a worthy adversary, (worthier anyway – he’s still a bum) but PGregg? That's not a worthy !@#$ing adversary. To keep it sporting (at least as sporting as possible given the competition) I was going to let P pick which side he’d rather defend. Knowing he’s a cowardly man (and I’m using the term “man” loosely) I should have known he’d be too timid to take the lead, so I’ll decide. Naturally, PGregg will toe the party line and defend the scourge that Hollywood’s brazen exploitation of sex has brought upon our once pure nation. But it’s clear to all reasonable people that violence in the media is clean wholesome entertainment, while sex is dirty, naughty, and shameful, and is tearing apart the moral fabric of society. In times of higher national moral character, violence was widely accepted as entertainment. Everything from cowboys and Indians shooting each other to the Road Runner dropping a Coyote off high cliffs while strapped in explosives, was broadcast for children. We all were highly entertained by the just retribution and grew up to live moral and virtuous lives. Then Larry Flynt and his mouth whore lawyer perverted the first amendment on the false pretense that nudie pics are free speech. Next thing you know it’s breasts and ass all over TV, high schoolers are having sex, and children across the country are unwittingly presented with Janet Jackson’s old wrinkled breast! And PGregg and his Hollywood ilk just say “give me more, man. Give me more.” Has the whole world gone crazy? Am I the only one who gives a **** about the children? I could go on, but I’ll feign mercy and wait for little Greggy to respond before I administer any further ass whooping. Not because I’m showing mercy, but because I want to draw it out and make this slow and painful. Bring the noise, Mother!@#$er!

I don't want to make it personal with anyone here, but I find moral outrage annoying generally, and the righteous indignation that comes into play when any measure designed to further a good cause is criticized, is down right nauseating. Having breast cancer awareness is great, but is there no end? Should it be 6 weeks? 8 weeks? 12 weeks? Maybe just have the pink as a permanent fixture - Let's make every day breast cancer awareness day! Let's have pink chalk lines, pink footballs, wait, scratch the pink chalk lines, how about pink grass! Yeah! Pink stadium seats, pink scoreboards, pink beer (if we can get green beer for St. Patty's day we can swing this). And the second you say any of this is going a little overboard I'm going to crank up the righteous indignation and condescend on your petty grievances, because you think your petty colors are more important than innocent people dying of cancer. Someone I care about died of cancer and you just said their life means less than the color of your precious football. How dare you, Sir. Good day.
