  1. If GZ is convicted I think his lawyer will regret seating an all female jury. I know some like puppy48579 or that shrill drive by chick will cry sexism, but everyone (save for a few virgin guys) know that women tend to be more emotionally driven than men, and that's the last thing you want in a case like this.
  2. What's funny is Jboyst & some others who have ripped into you are pretty chill guys who rarely get into the **** slinging. And for the record, anyone who's scared to post in PPP is a pu$$y.
  3. I think most of the tough guys talking about how some 17 yr old kid wouldn't take them have never had the experience of punching a guy straight in the face with a hard shot and had him keep moving toward them. Most anyone who's been around the block knows (as I'm sure you do) that looks can be deceiving, and sometimes the guy who looks to be a fish is more than you bargained for & vice versa.
  4. At 17 I was 6' 3" 160lbs & I bet anything your 28 yr old self would **** his pants if I had you mounted. I don't care how tough you think you were, unless you're a well trained grappler, there's no way you're getting out of that mount & if I wanted to I could easily beat you unconscious or choke you out, & by the time you realized you couldn't do anything about it the only thing between you & death would be my decision to let you go.
  5. He's either mildly retarded or a formidable troll. Either way, you have to admit, smacking him around for the last week has been entertaining.
  6. If it's the wrong 6 it may be 6, 1/2 dozen, or the other. I would imagine they'll keep him safe on the inside. Usually high profile convicts are separated to prevent a Jeffrey Dahmer incident.
  7. They are the target audience of Lifetime. Just sayin.
  8. Funny how all this boils down to the decision of 6 ignorant chicks with a probable average IQ in the double digits. I wish they'd hurry up though. I was hoping to get my riot on this weekend.
  9. Not right now. I'll actually be working with prosecutors for the juvenile system next semester, so I'll have more exposure. I'm referring to adult criminal where, for example, they'll take the bread winner of the family, hold him without bond for weeks or months on end for an overcharged crime, without the slightest regard for the wife and kids at home trying to make ends meet. It's pretty !@#$ed up sometimes.
  10. That's the damn truth. Half the time (I exaggerate) I think the prosecutors are worse than the people they're prosecuting. Families are turned upside down unnecessarily with great regularity because an overzealous prosecutor is either trying to make a name or trying to impose his (or more often her) own twisted sense of morality.
  11. Show me the evidence that supports even a probable cause finding for any of the charges he's prosecuting and I'll concede. Thus far I've yet to see it.
  12. I do know it. We've heard the evidence and the evidence is ****. Everyone in the legal community knows it. The prosecutor knows it. There's a reason charges were never filed to begin with - there is no case and he shouldn't be prosecuting it in the first place. This shouldn't even make it to the jury, but this is a show trial, the prosecutor and judge know what's expected of them, and are acquiescing to the pressures. Again, the prosecutor's job is not to win cases, it's to seek justice. Berger v. United States, 295 U.S. 78, 88, 55 S. Ct. 629, 633, 79 L. Ed. 1314 (1935). .
  13. bull ****. The prosecutor's concern is not that of winning or losing cases, it's seeking justice. Advocating for "victims" goes only to the extent that such is in the interest of justice. And I've not been on this mother!@#$er's back; I think I've mentioned him once in a post that said he's in a tight spot. Doing whatever will impact the jury to impact his case is only ethical if he actually believes the evidence supports conviction, which in this case he knows it does not.
  14. Dude, skittles and tea came up in the state's closing. nuff said. This might be the one thing you're right about. And if you are it will be a miscarriage of justice.
  15. I have mixed feelings on the prosecutor. I'm not sure how I would handle being in his position. To send a man to prison for decades on a hunch is pretty despicable. Of course, he may well have to balance George Zimmerman's freedom against his own livelihood. It's not an enviable position for one with a conscience. My thoughts regarding his culpability concern how much pressure he's under to prosecute this case and by who, whether he had any choice in the matter, whether he's looking to preserve or bolster his career, and I'm also curious if he's throwing the case just to satisfy the public outcry for a trial without trying to convict a man who is probably innocent. But talking about iced tea and skittles is a jerk off move, plain and simple. And he whines like a B word. Unlike the defense attorney, a prosecutor has no client to zealously advocate. His job is to seek justice, not secure convictions - although in practice that's not necessarily the case.
  16. This power of persuasion really works. I stopped at 7-11 and picked up an AZ Tea (Ginseng - I need the energy to get through the work day) and a Share Size pack of Skittles. It's actually a hell of a combination. Although I am getting some funny looks here at work though with them sitting on my desk.
  17. That's some good tea. Their raspberry tea...mmmm.
  18. That shouldn't have a chance either. If he was !@#$ing around & accidentally fired & it went off that might be possible, but that's not what we have here. For it to be manslaughter it would have to be voluntary manslaughter, & they still haven't shown beyond plausible conjecture (I'd argue they haven't even shown that) that GZ was either the initial aggressor, or so reckless in his conduct prior to the physical altercation that TM would have been able to successfully argue self-defense for assaulting Zimmerman. .
  19. This child abuse maneuver is just an attempt to confuse the jury. If they can't prove the elements of murder 2 or manslaughter the age makes no difference. Shooting your assailant in self-defense doesn't stop being self-defense just because the assailant was under 18 and everyone in the courtroom with a law degree knows it.
  20. Thanks for bringing me up to speed.
  21. I'm out of my element here. I have no frame of reference.
  22. What a coincidence. Dog's dad was a john.
  23. No I'm not, that's just my opinion. And in my opinion thermos means pizza.
  24. Dog's still fascinated by the complexity of a thermos.
  25. You're half right. Being stoned does have a mellowing effect while you're stoned, but it can lead to increased irritability when you burn out. And BTW, you still missed the point of the clothing comment.
