  1. It’s one of those that if you totally detach from reality - isn’t the craziest thing ever but I can’t see it ever happening
  2. Where and who? my newsfeed and yours will be different man.
  3. I think he’s probably average middle class jock that wasn’t a rocket scientist but generally pretty functional at life — and he’s gotten far enough that he rarely has to be super serious.
  4. He has a good support system around him and seems to have some sense. Just like he was taught being smart financially I suspect he’s getting reasonable advice about whether 2-3 years of football might be worth 30 years of being happy and functional later Also - in his case I think there’s some gray area between “dumb” and “set for life and going to have fun and doesn’t care what anyone thinks.” Yea he does a lot of ridiculous stuff- and I don’t particularly like him - but I suspect a lot would be dumb for me but no big deal for a multimillionaire Right? Ultimately some of our best stories are being young, dumb, and without fear of consequence. He gets that on steroids 250 days a year. With just a small modicum of common sense - he can do whatever makes him happy. Whether or not he truly gets it, I’m not sure.... but if he does, there’s something to be said for being smart enough to go live life in big bold ways while you can
  5. Or he decided that he was too good to work for a dysfunctional franchise with what might be an active addict running the show if his current employer was willing to step up
  6. Coining it helmet to helmet instead of keying more on the defenseless player aspect was interesting to see fans struggle with the last several years How they deliver rules during broadcasts has hurt the league as much as just about anything in the last decade. Better education for announcers would go a looooong way to fans understanding and in turn appreciating the game instead of feeling confused or jobbed by the refs.
  7. I don’t think we are the third worst team but i wouldn’t put us much higher for odds of winning the super bowl
  8. Ultimately it’s a few humans regulating the actions of a whole lot of humans. It won’t always be perfect or perfectly consistent - but hopefully it’s fair. In this case it was incredibly fair. As a fan, if you are seeking a PERFECT to the letter of the book game — you’ll never see it. And I don’t think you’d enjoy it all that much if you did.
  9. Because outrage at the refs is like so in style right now
  10. Not unfair - I made similar points last night when people said the eagles took a bad risk on a play that didn’t work likewise said it about the pick where Gilmore was wrestling Jeffrey— theres a degree of luck with regards to exactly when moves work and don’t work but when a guy is being who he is— you kind of have to accept the good and bad
  11. I suspect this had no effect just like many others that people have spazzed about
  12. Have to wonder if this cost the team the win
  13. I figured that would get comments but dude has to be slightly aware of the fact that he’s breaking down. He’s got to be a 7.2 forty at this point, held together by duct tape and coming off a head injury Jokes (and serious comments) about him being a caveman aside— I could see him being a guy that gets that there’s something beyond football
  14. He came into the league with health concerns and has been beat to hell. If he’s even a tiny bit smart he’s got to consider it. he seems to value some quality of life.
  15. He was one of the best players out there tonight after making a key play to get there. Good for him.
  16. I think their odds would’ve been better but who knows if they win a hypothetical game
  17. Do I recall him saying the eagles might have been better off punting to get the last possession than they were after they converted that 4th down?
  18. As big as anything is field position if he misses big kick here
  19. Tonight must really be messing with some of yalls conspiracy theories eh?
  20. Question is whether he established control when upright. If not then he did not technically have control when he crossed
