  1. I still think picking up McCoy would be a great idea. We finally have the opportunity to pick up a very promising prospect. Have Pennington mentor McCoy, keep Fitz and trade Brohm.
  2. For future reference, if you write for the DC there is an excellent chance you are not particularly good at your job. That whole rag is nothing but ads, misspelled words and incoherent ramblings. For a good time listen to his show on WHAM--it's all about horse racing. Regardless of the big sports story all horse racing.
  3. Drafting Pennington as a mentor QB--which may be a role he was born to play--still involves grabbing someone for him to mentor. All leads us back to the draft. Luckily there are 3-4 decent guys coming up and only a couple teams looking for QBs ahead of us.
  4. I remember going there in like 1990 or so; whole venue was treated as this amazing "eighth wonder of the wonder" type accomplishment. If I remember the exciting aspect of it was there being a Hard Rock Cafe inside. The 80s...were we ever so young? I don't think there is demand for an NFL team in Canada. They have their own football league already in place--don't think they're particularly interested in adding mediocre teams from other leagues. It's like the Winnipeg Blue Bombers moving to LA. Who? Exactly
  5. Alex Smith may be looking for a job. He has...potential I guess. If he can be picked up cheap maybe not the worst idea. But if I had my choice I'd go to the draft.
  6. Maybe, Skins still have Collins, right? Not that that's any kind of answer. And Campbell is weird in that he absolutely kills it sometimes and is barely competent others. Personally I'd be surprised if Washington wanted to deal with another rookie QB right away.
  7. Those two aren't bad enough (esp Gradkowski) to warrant a first round QB pick, in my opinion. They are decent players who are able to produce--maybe they just need some time to mature. Both teams may grab a QB out of free agency, but they have much bigger problems to deal with.
  8. He did have that nasty habit of making the Pro Bowl and then taking the rest of the season off....
  9. yeah, i saw that too. it's weird, I honestly can not recall seeing a ref help a player up before. Maybe I just didn't bother to notice--but I did find that curious today
  10. Some of the fringe teams at our level are not going to be cruising for a QB, that bodes well. Detroit, KC, Oakland, Wash, TB..they're set. St. Louis, Cleveland and Buff are going after the first QBs...but one of them will probably grab Suh. This is working out pretty well for us. A mildly entertaining season, at times, and the chance to pick up a possible franchise QB. Of course this all really means they draft like a kicker or something--or do some other weird thing that keeps us mired in 7-9 hell.
  11. Nothing is at stake for either team, but still might be a good time. Every Bill is playing for his job, may get to see a couple insane plays. If nothing else KC has terrific BBQ...get a good meal out of all this.
  12. What I find surprising is Miami played a fairly unimpressive game. they weren't bad--but it wasn't like Brees being perfect either. Today really says a lot about how the Pats have fallen back down to earth.
  13. Savior is kind of a strong word, but I like McCoy. With a half decent line and some time to develop, I think he can really add something to this team. Maybe not win games on his own, but he seems to be well rounded and have the ability to play 60 minutes of football. Bradford is too delicate and Tebow is too unpredictable. For what's out there, I think McCoy is a decent fit. Plus he has a cool name, hard to be too down on a guy named Colt.
  14. I think the Bills are more attractive to a decent HC then we might think. That which constantly keeps us a mediocre team are pretty identifiable. There is no mystery what needs fixed, as opposed to Detroit or KC--those teams are beyond comprehension. A couple different plays this seasons and Bills are 7-5. A proven HC would love to walk into a situation like that. Shanny could come in here and be heralded as a genius for doing the things folks on the board have been pointing out for months. Making the Bills legit isn't exactly reinventing the wheel. Perry has cut down on penalties, increased offensive points/yards, and made the games competitive--and he barely knows what he is doing!
  15. And a lot of the problems were with Trent--he simply was not good enough. Say what you want about Fitz, but he does try to make things happen. For whatever reason (DJ messing with his head, concussions, overall bland attitude) this season Trent has been unwilling to make huge plays. A lot of his problems may stem directly from DJs interference, who knows? But when the team is this bad having a conservative quarterback makes them infinitely worse
  16. That's actually a good point. Bills go to the trouble of being a good/exciting team and maybe the Canadians perk up a little. Who exactly would be cheering for that nonsense the other night?
  17. Great point. People can bandy about any stat they want, but it all comes down to Trent not being able to win. Ever.
  18. Really? we had 3 years of that guy not doing much of anything. How much more of a tryout does he need? Spoiler alert: He'll get sacked 20 times and make 70% of his 3 yd passes. Dude is done with the Bills, he just doesn't have it.
  19. Those are kind of slanted stats though--Ben is notorious for holding on to the ball for far too long.
  20. yeah, I remember that. i thought he was going into surgery last week
  21. amen man! all these draft picks mean nothing when we have a dumb front office that screws the pooch year in and year out. here's to hoping they just play the game as well as they can and hope (check it, pray) the front office gets its **** together before spring.
  22. naw, Roscoe isn't just Bills bad, he's bad bad.
  23. It's far too easy to blame HC or QB for a teams troubles. nevermind the team being an injury ravaged disaster of suck. Fewell may or may not be our guy--still 4 more games to figure that one out--but you really can not deny things are (very slowly) getting better.
  24. Is that true? that's amazing! penalties have been losing games almost single handedly...just look at the Jax game. It's nice to know that may be a coaching issue as opposed to a straight up dumb linebacker issue
  25. O-Line lets the running game open up and allows the QB to actually see the field and the WR to make some moves. Last night the Jets were getting to Fitz as soon as the ball did. No one functions well behind a line like that. just look at Brady being next to useless Monday when the Saints collapsed the pocket.
