Great point! Assume there are 75 QBs in the league--I think we can agree Trent is around the 35th or 36th best QB in football...somewhere inbetween Josh Freeman and Daunte Culpepper. I stand corrected and apologize for my ignorant back massage comment
-
Better than 1/2 the QBs at what? I hear he gives a mean back massage. He's not very good at quarterbacking, but he will rub your neck into nirvana

I think we are kind of saying the same thing. I think committing penalty after penalty forced the officials eyes onto the Bills and off the Pats. That leads to the Pats being able to get away with stuff as they are flying under the radar. I don't think we have a conspiracy here--the refs are not rooting for the Pats. It's just the eyes are going to be on the guys committing penalties. The Bills being a distraction force the game into being one sided as far as the officiating goes. Kind of like how a guy like Flozell Adams doesn't get away with anything--refs have their eyes on him.

I argue. Try: 1. trent sucks 2. fitz sucks 3. the o-line sucks

word. Lindell has never given us a reason to think he dogs it. It was an unrealistic shot and he knew it. Us sitting home in our Lay-Z-Boys angrily typing on the internets need to lighten up a bit. Just because a Buffalo Bill smiled today does not mean they threw the game, weren't trying, find failure funny, whatever. Such a meaningless thing to harp on
-
Anyone else amazed how being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs turns all fans against each other? This is the kind of vicious that turned me off the last Bills board I was on

the fun of being an out of work English professor--that editing energy has to come out somewhere!

the comma connects disparate thoughts in sentence. there needs to be a bridge between the thoughts (words like: and or but). Otherwise the thoughts are connected via a semi-colon. grammar! both fun and arbitrary.
-
that's a comma splice. it should be: ""It's difficult understanding the apologist language; you might want to type a coherent English phrase." The semi colon is the Buffalo Bills of the sentence--always ignored. Does that help?
-
I would argue that once the Bills started committing penalty after penalty all official eyes went on them. it's easy to sneak stuff through when the refs are staring at the inevitable false start or whatever. We really just need to assign responsibility to the Bills. Their nonsense is 100% their fault, not some massive conspiracy--there is no smokey back room filled with referees deciding who gets to win the Super Bowl.

Later it was seen laughing through its tears when he was immediately sacked twice and left injured

Maybe someone should explain to Trent he IS hurt and should just stay away. Maybe the explainer does this while cracking knuckles or absent mindedly playing with a switchblade.

can we ban the word "kool-aid" from future discourse? it's a pretty lazy metaphor
-
As for the smiling, I think everyone is over reacting. All we see is what gets edited into the shot, we don't know what is really going on. there could be something going on over there to keep the players calm and relaxed. Everyone screaming and frustrated doesn't accomplish much. The rage comes from, what we film geeks call, the "Kuleshov effect." Feel free to google it. However I was screaming at the TV during the horrible clock management during the end of the first half. At the very least we should have been able to get into reasonable fg range. Just plain stupid on Perry's behalf

oh B word B word moan moan--you don't get called on what you don't do. Florence lying on top of Welker in the end zone for a pass interference call? Clearly going to be called. people got to stop being such babies, Bills lost because the idiots were hopping offsides, interfering with plays, and whatever Maybin was doing. pats snuck stuff through, Bills aren't smart enough to hide their BS. Refs could care less who wins, its got nothing to do with them. if there is bias it would be for the home team. Don't make stupid excuses for the Bills shoddy play
-
I was counting the rush against Brees last night, guy had 2-3 seconds to get the ball out on nearly every play. Fitz et al could not even dream to put up the numbers Brees did in a losing effort with the 3-4 seconds they get. Our line is bad, but hardly the worst. Real QBs can think fast enough to get the ball out. Brees behind our line would have won the game (maybe, I don't know--just speculation--my point still stands).
-
Poz was really good Fitz was great AFTER he messed up his ankle Trent humpers can finally shut up Our RB combo is brilliant If no penalties Bills (probably) would have won D was mostly good. Pass interference calls lost the game for us though That's all I got. With good coaching and some good position players we have something. You can see a team hiding amongst this mess. Shake out the jauron lazy playing, get a real QB, and stay healthy? This team is easily 10 win. Honestly, it just feels so easy to make this a real team without having to rebuild from scratch. As frustrating as today was, you can see something worth building on. Holy god it was frustrating, wasn't it
-
that is just lazy. there is no conspiracy--every penalty called was 100% a blatant penalty. Imagining a conspiracy keeps us from actually improving, we just complain everyone is out to get us. Nope, refs get paid either way--Bills just make a giant pile of mistakes CONSTANTLY

JP Losman is in (Jamarcus Russell is hurt)

Well that was quick. -
I'm going to side with you, calling the guy a "POS" implies a certain amount of intent--like he tries to lose games or commits crimes or whatever. Dude simply isn't all that into being a ball player. he's a piece of vanilla. piece of bland nothing. but not a pos. but seriously, bad player. Concussions? bad coaching? little interest? I (scratch that, WE) don't have the answer. but he is not good enough. Fitz was bad today, BUT when he was benched for Trent? Guy comes out with one good foot and made some great plays. I say someone f's up his ankle before every game. Fitz is not that great either, and should certainly not start next year. BUT he shows a passion that Trent never had. Once Fitz wakes up the team looks like a team.
-
I know, right? I was hoping today was going to shut the Trent humpers up. 2 sacks, a nothing pass and an injury. That is Trent Edwards--he's f-ing terrible. The only good he is was to light a fire under Fitz's ass. Fitz on one leg was twice the QB Trent could dream of. TE will never again walk on the field as a Bill. Good riddance

think it's too late to become a Vikings fan?
-
Don't you know shrieking at Fitz was the kick this team needs?
-
it's not 100% coaches fault, but good coaches break players of those habits. There's a reason why the Pats second string were not making those mistakes--and I don't want to hear about ref bias. Dumb players that Jauron coddled.
-
True, Bills stupidity gave away the game. No reason why that should have been a loss. A penalty on every single crucial play.
