  1. I tell you I know what I saw. There was a guy on the grassy knoll. It was the same guy I saw making explosive charges for the World Trade Ctr.
  2. Speaking for myself, I can not help but like EJ Manuel. He is bright, well spoken and possesses the physical tools to be a winner in the NFL. Despite all he has going for him, I think it was a huge stretch to put him in the top QB slot. He just was not seasoned enough. Now his career has taken a step back. What happens in the future is up to him. He needs to work with whatever coach, shrink, yoga instructor, personal trainer, guru or voodoo priestess he thinks is necessary to hone and improve his skills. If he needs a "mental" coach to toughen up then my hat is off to him for knowing it.
  3. Q City thanks for posting this. it was great to see.
  4. Orton handled himself like a pro. That is saying a lot considering all the inane questions. I understand that the reporters are just trying to do their jobs and get bits to write about but after a while it would get on my nerves. After viewing this, my recommendation to any athlete entering the NFL would be to get seriously schooled on how to work with the media. You respond wrong to some stupid question and its controversy for months....
  5. Wow.. well you can bet they are going to jack prices..
  6. I don't think that is why Marrone went ballistic. I think he was upset about the play of his then backups.
  7. Although EJ is probably not feeling this way right now, this could be a blessing. Detroit could be a tough defensive game. They pounded the Jets this weekend. If he takes this as a temporary setback, not a disaster, and improves his game he will earn his slot back. I do not see this as being the the end of EJ Manuel with the Bills.
  8. No. It shows a coaching staff ready to act if they have to. Let's face it, in professional sports no one is sacred.
  9. You legalize medical marijuana and this is what happens. I am telling you it is a slippery slope.
  10. What was obvious to me was the play of EJ vs Rivers. EJ has a long, long way to go to be a great quarterback in this league.
  11. I just saw this posted not he web site "Real Clear Science". http://www.realclearscience.com/blog/2014/09/domestic_violence_crime_much_lower_among_nfl_players.html It just goes to show you that things are never what they appear to be...
  12. I would add its not just the media. There are individuals and groups that see an opportunity to further their agendas (be they good or bad) and are jumping on the bandwagon. The NFL, because of its high profile, is a plump and easy target.
  13. To get to 3 and 0 we have to beat the Chargers. The Chargers are not as good defensively as many teams but they are a huge offensive threat. With the win over Seattle last week, it is obvious they are serious competition. In my opinion the key to beating them is stopping Rivers and Gates. Rivers stats compare to some HOF quarterbacks. In 11 games (9 as a starter) Rivers has completed 65% of his passes for an average of 246 yards a game. His career quarterback rating is 96. Antonio Gates had a three touchdown game last weekend against Seattle, a team with a good defense. The last time we played them was in San Diego, and despite a huge Bills fan base in attendance, the combination of Rivers and Gates ate our lunch. I think our defense is up to the challenge if they prepare for a dynamic air game, but our offense needs to bring their "A" game. We will need the points.
  14. Totally agree. Especially Gates.. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-overlooked-career-of-antonio-gates-the-second-best-tight-end-ever/
  15. If we don't have a plan for dealing with Antonio Gates, this Sunday
  16. I totally agree with you on this one. Those casting the NFL as a villain in all this have BS political agendas they are trying to bolster. The NFL is no more responsible for any of this than any corporation is responsible for the private behavior of any of its employees. The point that the NFL actually has a player code of conduct they try to enforce is a feather in their cap. The Rice incident is a law enforcement manner.
  17. My Viagra prescription is expired and it still worked on me!
  18. Keep in mind that when games went to ties in the past we usually game up on the losing end. Not today baby!!!
  19. Had me biting my nails till the last. Loving the Bills...
  20. Let me add to your comments by saying I also hope he has a thick skin because he will be thrashed in public for every mistake he makes...
  21. Very class act... Hat's off to the Bengals
