  1. I think a domed stadium in Niagara Falls would almost guarantee a Super Bowl... Plenty of rooms, great venue. Yes, cold, and probably snowy but it could happen.
  2. Coming from Anchorage, Alaska he is not going to complain about the weather.
  3. Exactly. What I am most excited about is that we have multiple offensive weapons this season.
  4. The author suffers from analysis paralysis. Alonzo listed as a "starter".
  5. Let's see: Got into a fight with his older brother, fathered a child out of wedlock (Yes he had a baby mama): Ben Franklin Was a known womanizer, had connections with known criminals: John Kennedy Was booted out of public school. Was partially deaf. Father was an exiled political activist: Thomas Edison Was considered lazy, at one time associated with a gang known as "the Clary Grove Boys: Abraham Lincoln and I bet they all wizzed in public one time or another....
  6. All this draft grading is just so much nonsense. Its all about entertainment. Kiper knows that and is feeding controversy to the public. That way people read his stuff.
  7. There are a lot of ways to grade this draft. If you are focusing on the strategy and tactics (i.e. trades, acquisitions of players) and the sheer chutzpah of the new front office, you have to give them an A. When It comes the players, they are either going to bargains or busts. Time will tell. Right now I would grade that aspect of the draft a solid "B". The grade could go either way.
  8. I was a little put off by the trade with the Browns initially. Then I was surprised by the pick of Kouandjio. All the trades and wheeling and dealing had me scratching my head. One thing for sure if all this works to finally get us into the playoffs Whaley will be considered a genius. The alternative is that he will be the goat. It will make for an exciting season going into 2014.
  9. Man, I am going to miss him. I fell in love with him when he flashed his "Why so Serious" shirt in the Cincinnati game. The 49ers picked up a good player.
  10. Man, can you imagine Darius with the munchies? It would be a nightmare for an "all you can eat" place.
  11. On the QT, ______________ has told me the Bills intend to pick ______________ in the ________ round. In fact their ___________ was seen in the Buffalo area scouting _____________.
  12. I thought Ritchie made it clear he did not want to remain on the Bills during his short tenure here.
  13. If they are coughing up $1 Billion, they are overpaying. Further, at that price the team is toast in Buffalo. That is a lot of money to earn back to get any rate of return.
  14. I think our primary need is for a solid right tackle. I would prefer a player like Jake Matthews. Just want them to take the best player on the board...
  15. Ha, you made me laugh on this otherwise dull morning...
  16. I am sorry to see him go. Rest in peace Mr. Wilson and to your family my condolences.
  17. and Fitz is laughing all the way to the bank, whether he plays again or not.... Good for him.
  18. All of the fans on the west coast have you in our thoughts and prayers as well Jim.
  19. When is it not? I mean really? A pro has only so many years he can play. If you were that pro wouldn't you want to make the most of your career? If you were offered a lot of money for your job wouldn't you move? Yes, there are other aspects to the decision; family, friends, etc., but ultimately we all look out for ourselves. Why should an athlete be any different? Let's face it, a team would ax a player in a minute if they thought they could do better.
  20. As a long time fan of the Bills and USC...No, God please no....
  21. What an absolutely great point. I am sure that this dept. has had a lot to due with our bargaining position regarding Byrd. There comes a time when both sides have to say "enough" and move on. I think the Bills have reached that point with Byrd. Let him test the waters elsewhere. If he wants off the team let him go.
  22. You made my day with this one....
  23. Chargers because I lived in San Diego so long... NFC… 49ers
  24. I like EJ Manuel but am very concerned about the situation with his knees. I see athletes like Brady, who went down with an ACL tear in 2008 come back strong the next year. I do remember that there was a lot of controversy about who he saw for treatment. I have absolutely no medical or specialized knowledge in this. Can anyone with a little insight into these issues educate me on the issues faced by EJ? Will the knees just heal by themselves? Does an injury make a knee weaker? Are there things that can be done in the off season to strengthen his knees so we do not see a repeat of these injuries next year?
  25. 9? Heck we moved a spot. WE ARE GETTING BETTER!
