  1. From what I've seen so far this season, Geno has terrible pocket awareness. I can't imagine the Bills getting fewer than four sacks.
  2. Belichick was totally right for wanting those players to leave the field. Ridiculous that it wasn't enforced to begin with.
  3. What a painful game. Reminded me of just about every Buffalo-Cleveland game from the last ten years. A case of which offense wanted it less.
  4. What sort of hire would have made you happy? This is about as different as they come. The Bills have NEVER hired a coach out of college.
  5. I like the selection. Buffalo has never hired a coach straight out of college and if there was ever a time to switch things up, it's now. I really wanted Lovie but am all for bringing in an offensive minded HC. Like many of you, my inital reaction was one of disbelief and dismay but the more I've read (and seen) of Marrone the more I like him. In the end, we went for youth and vigor over experience, and I'm okay with that. Plus Marrone does have head coaching as well as NFL experience. Honestly, his resume is pretty strong.
  6. Mario changed the entire game in the 2nd quarter with that strip sack and recovery.
  7. I like how all these experts dismiss the effect Mario is having on the D-line as a whole. We were close to last in the league in sacks last year with half of this line. Now we add Mario and Mark and we're 6th in the league in the same category. It's too early to base things on stats and rankings, but the eyeball test tells us that this is a much improved unit.
  8. Fitz has had plenty of time to throw on many many occasions. The o-line is good, period, regardless of who's back there. Throw in the dominant run blocking and we're talking about an elite unit.
  9. Someone (I forget who) was dogging Mario on Inside the NFL as well. Said that he just got his first sack and that was because Weeden ran into him. Picked the Pats because the Bills have no pass rush. Uh...nine sacks in three games is good enough for 6th in the league.
  10. Pouha is one of the best players in the division. I'd say he's a big loss actually.
  11. The Johnson injury is just tightness post surgery. He didn't pull anything or do anything to it. It's just something normal that's cropping up at a bad time. Or so Stevie says.
  12. The Pats are the kings until someone beats them. That said, some year some team will beat them for the division title, and that same year all the experts will have those same Pats being the victors. Why not this year? Sports writers are always very conservative in their predictions, never willing to go out on a limb. Everyone had the Phillies winning their division again this year. Look how that turned out.
  13. I'd say a bigger concern is our offense. At some point we will stop scoring 20+ points a game and then the L's will come rolling in.
  14. I like how they never once mentioned that Kyle Williams left the game.
  15. It sounded like Fitz and Wood said "Big Sun." No idea what that meant. I also loved Merriman's pregame "We've been disrespected long enough" speech. This will be on my DVR for a long, long time.
  16. Pumped for Sunday's game. I know we'll get the W because I will be there! They won't let me down. Miami's D is very good but their O will be one-dimensional, and the Cleveland game showed that you won't be able to beat us with a running game alone. I expect another grueling battle resulting in a crushing blow to the Dolphins' playoff hopes. Go Bills!
  17. I don't know how someone could be "happy" with a 3-10 team. Do I enjoy watching them play for the first time in years? Yes. Do I feel like the team is on the right track for the first time in years? Yes. But happy? No way.
  18. Called back for an Illegal Contact penalty on the defense. An Illegal Contact penalty that nobody ever saw, since CBS didn't replay it.
  19. Fitzpatrick has already exceeded Losman's 2006 TD total with six games to play. I'm in no way advocating Fitz as the team's cure-all moving forward, but it's kind of funny the lengths some fans will go to to downplay what he's done for the team this season.
  20. The Fitz question won't be answered until the end of the season (if then). I'm willing to wait six more games to see where Fitz ends up before deciding if he is the Future. However, I will say this: The only people who seem dead-set against Fitz being the guy are Bills fans. I talk to fans of other teams and they seem to think that we have our guy. I'd be shocked if Buddy didn't try to draft one in the early rounds, though.
