  1. I think your half right Pap. We are on life support. The over part ? A leopard can not change their spots.
  2. What is he going to say?? Are you kidding me !! For starters; How about stating the truth?? How about saying: Hey guys, members of the media, fans everywhere; I really screwed up today and it won't happen again. I'm going to study harder, ask questions, I'm going to work my ass of and I'm really going to scrutinize the mistakes I made today. It's my fault. And that is what a real man would say.
  3. BV; According to Mr. Disney You might be the mirror on the wall in Whaley's office
  4. Ryan & the boys will win this game with the help of the 12th man and a little emotion. Before they take the field Rex will address the team and say "How many of you guys are gonna go and help me punch Brady & Bellicheat right in the eff'ing mouth." Bet on it !
  5. Juice; I also yell, scream, sweat and cuss at the television. Maybe not so much in that order, but I loose my voice every Sunday and I'm not even at the game. It's probably why I'm so exhausted after a Bills game. In 1980 I was watching a Bills game in my upstairs apartment and the landlords lived in the down stairs. Unbeknownst to me, The landlords had visitors from their church at their home for dinner and as usual I was lathered up while watching the Bills game. I misjudged where my chair was located and everything in my midst went tumbling. During the mayhem somehow the TV went over too, blowing the tube. It was so loud, I thought I got shot. The land lord called the local fire department informing them of an explosion in his rental property. Looking back on it I think everything turned out well. I remained his tenant until 1984 when I bought my first house. When I left the apartment he suggested that I watch any and all future games on the first floor for my own safety. I also asked him before I left why he never asked me to keep it down, because he always had guests on Sundays. His reply was "We're praying for you" I was shaking his hand when I said; "Herb, there's no cure" Now it's 2015 and I will unfortunately miss the Bills, Patriots game because I will be attending the GNCC at Unadilla this Sunday. I'll still loose my voice, only because I'll be cheering for my son. I'm hoping to watch it later if I can get some one to DVR it !!
  6. Whether Alex Tanney makes the Bills roster, or anyone else's roster; Why does It matter ? Let the coaches coach; Let the owners own. We are just the fans and let us just be the fans. And thankfully there are a lot of us. (Strength in numbers thing) The bigger question is; What do the disgruntled fans see in this young man that they truly hate about themselves ? Only asking, because old inquiring minds like mine would truly like to know. I would rather watch that trick shot video a million times instead of watching most of the crap on TV and on these computers only once. Thanks for posting the video "Rhode" It has found it's way into my favorites. And in closing; You can tell by watching that video that the reactions from his friends and his team mates, are second to none. They enjoy being around him and that really is the best part of the video.
  7. Fan is short for Fanatic. And not to pee in your Wheaties, but unconditional support is not what fanatics do. 'Lou'
  8. I must of been a fan way too long, 23 years ago; Because in January of 1992 my first wife gave me the ultimatum; "It's them or me"! So she commenced to pack her **** and she left on February 8th, 1992. Unfortunately for her it didn't take me to long to re-group. And I'm still a Bills fan.
  9. The day we stormed the field and lowered the goal posts. I removed my hat for that special moment. And from that moment, I knew they were our Bills.
  10. When the 2015 season officially begins, it will mark 40 years of Buffalo fanhood for me. I'm not sure when jerry Sullivan started printing his drivel, but I have been very fortunate because I have never read his work. How, you ask? I had the opportunity to see another Buffalo fan (complete with team tattoos) read a Jerry Sullivan article at a barber shop years ago. He groveled out loud throughout the article, was agitated when finished, threw the paper, threw his temper, threw a couple of F-bombs, then left the shop on his own without a hair-cut. To this day I have never seen the man again. Jerry Sullivan must be the poster child "negative nancy" Even if I personally knew the man, I couldn't hang with him. Life is way too short to be this guy's door mat. And to answer the OP's question; I think the Pegula's are a class act and one that so few come even close to matching.
  11. I agree HDC. I have posted this comment before, and after today I still think that the front office will try and swap a player for player deal, or work out some kind of trade offer with EJ in the off season. Perhaps a package deal, just so they can move on and "save face" In addition, the media and several posters here claim Marrone is too stubborn for his own good and once again, I do agree with that. However; His coaching style IMO is working, regardless of his ego. It was obvious that Marrone needed a wheel barrow to carry around his nuts in after he benched EJ and with good reason, a reason that you so descriptively mentioned HDC. And unlike the fans, Marrone got to see EJ every day in practice and I'm quite sure that it wasn't pretty. Probabley like dropping the F-bomb in church.pretty. Polian knew and still knows, the coaches know, and for the love of Pete, some of the fans know. But for the fans who don't know please pardon the pun, but this team with Manuel at the helm is a 24 hour plane crash. Chan Gailey cut ties with Trent Edwards and Doug Marrone, if he remains the coach will cut ties with EJ Manuel, Both QB's are good men and great athletes but their performances on the field were a mirror image of each other and unfortunately their un-doing.
  12. If Fred Jackson doesn't make the roster next year, I hope the team offers him a coaching position. (RB Coach) And not to hi-jack the thread; But read it somewhere, that Whaley also wanted to draft Hyde (RB)
  13. And a partridge in a pear tree? I mean ,,,, It is the holidays afterall.
  14. Agree with Mastershake on this one. Cutler is a "What can I do for ME guy." He would be the cancer on this team if he were here. And I really do hate using that C word. And also agree with 75Bills. Kudos to the "I just don't like his face" answer. Make that a double LOL well okay
  15. I agree DC Tom. Marcia can drop the F-Bomb three times on National Television. And that's Okay! But us common folk are not allowed to type it into a hallowed football forum. where opinions are like ass holes. Simply because we all have one!
  16. And Lou yells: Hey you three nit-wits! I just asked your girl friends; What's your !@#$ doing, when you're having an orgasm? In unison; Cutler, Orton & Manual say: What did they say? Then I tell them: They each said their !@#$ was on the football field! HAHAHAHA and so on. On a side note, I have not been intoxicated since April 1998. That dry heaving was an absolute B word !
  17. Excellent post as always K-9 and truer words on this topic were never spoken. The last interview I saw with EJ, his response to a questiion asked by the media was: "The Coach says I'm playing well" It was after a poor performance when the question was phrased to EJ: "What HE thought about HIS performance ? And the above mentioned statement was his answer. For the most part, professional and ametuer athletes around the globe critique their performances to anyone that listens. It is how we vent and how we address our faults, while making a satement and a vow that I'll do better next time. That is how and why, we as athletes, love our sport as much as we do. Simply because we are hooked on it! And critiqing ourselves is what sets the hook. I realize that some of these interviews may be scripted somewhat with caution laying in the wind. But; "For the love of Pete" EJ ! Have some respect for yourself !
  18. Your analogy is very descriptive and abrasive as well Dave. No further composition needed. I like it! Freud would be proud of your definition, as others are, I'm sure.
  19. Aggressive players like Hughes, along with their coaches approval of course, have changed their jersey numbers in the past allowing the refs a little change of scenery without even knowing it. And please don't ask for a link. I'm still trying to figure out the link issue in the "Off the Wall Forum" As fans, we all know when Jerry plays, that the potential to be mean and nasty is only a small part of his character on the field. He is an aggressive player who clearly wants to win, but struggles controlling his emotions sometimes. I think the refs are always looking at number 55. A situational sterotype? Yes, No, Maybe? It would be a band-aid on a major flesh wound type of change, but I think changing his jersey number could at least change the scenery for the old double nickel. Thoughts?
  20. Schlereth should just stick with predicting the end of the world. It's something else he could also suck at.
