  1. Wow, I'm surprised this is being over-looked so much. I would personally be irate if I saw Bills players partying like this after losing a superbowl (which they probably did we just didn't have the internet back then to catch it). I understand the season is over and it's time for vacations and all but doing this just hours after losing a superbowl, especially one that was such a tough loss? You would think someone who really had their heart in the game wouldn't be much into partying and celebrating that very night.
  2. Interestingly this play was to Chad.
  3. Was anyone else frustrated when Bradshaw scored that TD? At the SB party I was at we were all rooting for the Giants but I was the only one who wasn't celebrating when he scored the TD instead of downing it, running down the clock, and kicking the field goal. Glad it still worked out for a Giants win but if some of those passes on that last Patrtiots drive had gone just a little differently (like the first play that Branch almost caught) they would have been in a lot better position to win than a hailmary on the final play.
  4. Agreed for the most part. I thought the holding call against Boothe was pretty poor. It looked to me like he blocked Wilfork cleanley and Wilfork fell on his own so they just decided to throw a flag. It was a big momentum swing at the end of the half there. Otherwise, it was mostly called cleanly and the hitting was great. You could tell these teams didn't like each other.
  5. The photo of Fitz throwing the ball is funny. His arm is aiming in one direction but the ball is going somewhere completely different. Almost looks like it's right over his head.
  6. Then perhaps a better answer would be Redskins over Dolphins in Superbowl VII. But personally I'd say Panthers over Patriots in XXXVIII.
  7. Backups? He said "WE" weren't ready for weren't ready for it.
  8. I recall them having to beat us to make the playoffs when they won the superbowl in 07 as well. While the game wasn't as close as it was this year. we did start out with a 14-0 lead and as I recall we lost our momentum after a roughing the kicker penalty committed by the great Donte Whitner.
  9. Well call me an irrational hater but I'd rather the Ravens go to the Superbowl even if they get blown out than the Patriots go and it turns out to be a close game. Heck, I even heard that a lot of Steeler fans are rooting for the Ravens because they don't want Brady to win another ring.
  10. I would be stunned if Cleveland and Washington and Miami all pass on him.
  11. I am very suspect of Jeff Fisher as it seems like after many years as the HC of the Oilers/Titans they were only really consistently good when McNair was in his prime. The problem with the Rams is they are probably going to be looking up to the 49ers for a while. With young talent and a HC who has had so much success in only his first year I see the Niners being a dominant force in the NFC for years to come. I don't know that Bradford, Fisher, Williams, etc are enough to compete with that.
  12. I'm not big on Flacco but I really believe he is better than Sanchez and look what happened last year.
  13. This blown call was far more inexcusable IMO: Louisiana-Lafayette uses six players on game-winning possession
  14. Just because your QB has some bad games and makes some suspect throws doesn't mean you should give up on him.
  15. Agreed, personally, I feel like if the previous coaches didn't 6 then neither should Chan. If we are out of the playoff race by December again next year he needs to be let go. It seems like Fitz gets a lot of blame and Chan has been getting too much of a pass for our second half collapse and I just don't understand that.
  16. I just this morning got around to seeing the highlights from the Lions/Packers game and Matt Flynn was spot on to receivers who were well covered in some cases. And these weren't just great receivers making nice catches, these were guys getting hit well in stride. I recall him playing well against the Patriots last year in a game that Rogers had to miss. I'm not giving up on Fitz but if we have a chance to get Matt Flynn without having to give much up, we should definitely take it.
  17. Interesting tidbit of info, ever since the NFL moved to the 4 team divisions in 02 teams who have entered the playoffs at 8-8 or worse are 4-0 in the first round: 2004 (8-8) Minnesota 31 Green Bay 17 2004 (8-8) St Louis 27 Seattle 20 2008 (8-8) San Diego 23 Indianapolis 17 ot 2010 (7-9) Seattle 41 New Orleans 36
  18. I could see this game ending 6-0 or something like that (whereas the Lions/Saints game could end up 45-38) but I just don't see Denver being able to move the ball at all in this game to even have a chance to win. The only way I believe Denver stands a chance is if they force some turnovers deep in Pittsburgh territory cause the Steelers offense has been pretty sluggish lately even when Mendenhall has played.
  19. Hopefully the Dolphins will win this won for Jason Taylor so that he can end his career on a high note.
  20. RGIII in a heartbeat. Honestly, I don't think it would be too crazy to take him over Luck either.
  21. It would be great if we won and either Pitt or Balt won to knock NE out of home field advantage. At this point, even if you are a "lose for a better draft pick" person, I just don't see much of a difference in talent pool between what 7-9 will get us versus 6-10.
  22. I grew up on Kelly vs Marino however I've found myself rooting for the Dolphins when they play the Patriots and Jets lately. Infact, I hope they beat both teams in these last 2 weeks. So I guess it just depends on who is doing well at the time amongst out division rivals.
