  1. Wallace and White have a lot of pressure on them as we are selling out up front.
  2. Spot on and I expect "the process" to have the team focused, prepared and executing today. I, on the other hand, am just an old crotchety fan who can sit on my couch and begin celebrating the big reckoning early. Bourbon sipping begins at noon in anticipation of the @$$-whoopin' our beloved Bills are going to lay on these past-tense Patriots.
  3. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, to suggest that the Patriots are a quality football team this year, capable of giving the Bills a game. - The past two weeks have been an embarrassment in New England, losing at home to the mediocre (at best) Broncos and getting curb-stomped by the 49ers. - Their defense was depleted from free agency even before COVID opt outs. - Their QB is a desperate roll of the dice. - Their current injury list has taken their elite performers out of play. I understand, and respect, the Patriots mystique as their dynasty was truly historic. But, it is over and they are now far closer to the Jets than KC. Today's game is for wings, beers, laughs and cheers. The Patsies ain't no thing.
  4. 😂😂😂 You and I live very different lives.
  5. ^^^ This sums it up. I'll take the desperation theme a step further: 1. CBS is reporting that all Patriots are available for trade. This could be a team on the verge of total collapse. Now, they certainly have more talent than the Jets, but they are also capable of extending their losing streak for the rest of the season. 2. I live in Boston and heard interview clips from Cam Newton. He said all the right things, "Losing is not acceptable in this city, state or region", "I have to pick up my game to winning standards." However, (and this is only my interpretation) he did not sound resolute or confident. To me, he sounded lost, trying to form good words. I believe the Bills are in a good position to take firm ownership of the AFC East Sunday, with the real threat coming from (Tua dependent) a decent and growing Miami team. Here's hoping they made a mistake benching Fitz.
  6. This may be my favorite post ever - and not for good reasons.
  7. If we lay the wood to New England Sunday, I will be laughing all afternoon.
  8. Hey Kwai, I am old and hopelessly devoted to standard English - the kind you might find in Webster's Dictionary. Can you tell me what this means?
  9. I’m going to guess that McDermott determined that Phillips is not fully back from his injury. A torn ACL can take 18-24 months for full recovery. The Bills need Phillips to occupy two offensive linemen, 600+ pounds of world class athlete. That doesn’t necessarily mean that he is a lost cause or out of favor with the organization. It may simply mean he needs more time to get to 100%. McDermott’s supportive words here could be encouragement to Harry as he works to get to the “ready-ready” finish line. More broadly speaking, we as fans, would do well to be more respectful of injuries and what players endure: - White has an ongoing back injury, his play suffers, and some accuse him of being happy with his money. - Edmunds guts it out with an ongoing shoulder injury and some call him a bust, as he essentially plays one-handed. - As Milano works through a strained or slightly torn pec, some say do away with him. The commentary I have read over the past month leads me to suspect that many on this board have never played contact sports, and therefore, haven’t a clue.
  10. This was a part of the Jets game (along with our second half D) that I really enjoyed watching. There was a glimpse of the consistent precision we need if we're going to truly be a part of the the league's top echelon. Josh Allen's growth continues.
  11. That is a very unfortunate statement. Actually, trashy is a good way to describe it.
  12. I live in Boston. Yes, if I see Buffalo apparel, "Go Bills" is automatic. I also write it on white boards in our office building. Haven't been caught yet.
  13. You've got it backward. The worry of some fans reflects on them, not the team. Also, "this is not a good team" reveals your bias and lack of knowledge. We are what our record says we are, 4-2 and on pace to win the AFC East.
  14. Prepping for two games this week is McDermott being a professional - which he certainly is. Traveling to Tennessee is acquiescing to the NFL, accepting that the NFL is prioritizing player safety. If you believe they are, then good. I believe the NFL is placing health and safety as a secondary concern, which is why I believe refusing to go to Tenesee would be a strong act of leadership, in the name of health and safety, by the Bills organization.
  15. Yes, that is why I would view it as a strong act of leadership. Leadership means sacrifice. And, it is that easy, when you stand on principle.
  16. Having quietly watched the situation and read about the positives/exposures/infections, I am not confident that the Titans are even close to being able to host others without passing the virus on. I would like to see McDermott and Beane tell the NFL that the Bills are refusing to go to Tenessee at this time. Honestly, I believe that would be a strong leadership act. Buffalo's facility is (as far as testing has shown) clean, so far. If ONE member of our organization, player or coach, gets infected in Tenessee, the entire Bills organization will be challenged to get past it for a month - or more. I think it is time for the Bills organization to face the NFL and firmly say, "enough is enough, we're not doing this."
  17. Oh heck, if being out of shape is part of the deal, please sign me up. I am a retired rugby player, after a 30 year career. The only advantage that gives me is full knowledge that I cannot run the width of a field. Isn't that why they have zone defenses?
  18. In the Super Bowl years, penalties on our offense used to make me happy because it gave Kelly and Thurm the chance to rack up more yards. I was that confident and relaxed. I am not currently there yet. In fact, these first four weeks have had me a nervous, shaking, sweaty wreck. Without my bourbon, I wouldn't survive. Seriously, I do believe in Josh, the team and especially McDermott. I think McDermott is special. Awesome times!
