  1. No, don't care. And f*ck the Giants too. I don't understand the screwheads who root for teams just because they have former Bills employees on the team/staff/FO. The Giants beat us in the SB we should have won and spawned Bill Belichick who totally dominated us for a couple decades. They also compete with the Bills for fans in central NY.......less than 100 miles east of the stadium........which f*cking blows and hurts the bottom line. They are a definite top 6-7 team that Bills fans should wish to see fail.
  2. The 2020 Buccaneers had their version of this game against the 7-9 Washington football team in the WC round on their way to a SB title.
  3. Nah. He keeps getting paid just like he was coaching the Cardinals until 2027. He can pull a Rex Ryan and get a part time job as a talking head and still collect all that Cardinal money............if he comes back to the NFL his salary gets deducted from what the Cardinals owe him.
  4. Yeah my hope for decades was that thin-skinned and financially punitive(when losing) Bills fans would become like Cubs fans..........who rallied around the idea of being "Cubs fans" regardless of whoever their cheapskate, not-committed-to-winning ownership group was. Cubs fans were disappointed in their crazy lack of success but had a great sense of humor about it. In the 90's and early 2000's you could buy shirts outside Wrigley Field that made fun of their plight "What did Jesus say to the Cubs? Don't do nothing til' I get back" etc.. To me.......getting to the point where Bills fans identified as a fan base almost separate from the team itself was the only hope to preserve the franchise long term in Buffalo and our own lack of a sense of humor about our teams combination of losing/bad stewardship/small market/bad weather market limitations was a major impediment to that. As it turned out we got there thru frustration and anger and spite instead. Gullible fans desperate for national attention fell for false hope sold by clowns like Russ Brandon...........and then became enraged when the predictable failures continued. But social media created the opportunity for bitter Bills fans to displace their rage and attack and threaten suddenly accessible media members who dared report the news that the Bills still sucked..........and from there the Adam Shefter tweet likening Bills fans to a mafia........and the moniker "Bills Mafia" created an identity. As time passed and success began to replace the losing the passion that fueled hate turned into more positive endeavors for Bills Mafia and the thing has really grown into something to be proud of. People naturally want to feel part of a community so bandwaggoners inevitably want to join such a clearly identified and passionate group. And as a small market.........the more the merrier. We need every fan we can get. Hopefully it's just the beginning. We ultimately need to get to the point where people identify with the Bills nationally like they do with other small market teams like the Packers and Steelers. Nobody would ever think about moving those teams to Mexico City or London or some sh!t like that. And it means something to play for those franchises. An increased fan base and the money it creates will keep the team in Buffalo and we need all the national support we can get going forward.
  5. I'd have preferred Vegas personally...........but I can drive down to Atlanta and bring more people. As for what to do in Atlanta? Buncha' dudes in best strip club city in the country? Nah......nothing to do. GTFOH Doug.
  6. Well yeah but elevation wasn't an issue at that point. The police should have just escorted him off as requested.........problem solved. He catches another flight later and that's that. No big deal for OBJ.........I was in NYC past couple days and his Uber Eats ads were prominent........none of the parties comes out looking sensible for this little disagreement but having ultimately de-boarded without incident certainly doesn't HURT OBJ's profile one bit.
  7. That applies to all kinds of public "paying customer" situations then though.........stores, bars and restaurants, stadiums. Like I said, I think the cop thought he would call the flight attendant's bluff and the passengers got the shaft. I get making him get off the plane but he's not on a terrorist watch list.......just have the cops drag him off if need be.
  8. What was the legal reason for taking everyone off the plane again? I've seen disorderly people taken off planes by themselves before. What's he going to do? Pull out his nail clippers from his carry on and go on a killing spree? Makes no sense to me. Sounds like the cop had the authority to make the FA's de-plane everyone and called their bluff thinking they'd just let it be rather than do that. The people arguing that he MADE everyone de-plane..........well no, the cops made everyone de-plane. What a weird situation.
  9. What every team needs to do is pick the best players at premium positions early. Once you start chasing needs it compounds your issues. It started for Beane with Cody Ford. He did a woeful job in free agency in 2018 and his long since forgotten OL signings were utter garbage. So he ends up drafting an unathletic OL prospect..........hoping he would just be a "starting quality" tackle(and if not he'd SURELY be ok at guard). That selection for need caused the Bills to miss on high ceiling WR1 prospects..........and THEN when Ford floundered at RT and had to be moved to G it effectively pushed future All Pro OT Wyatt Teller off the roster. Cody Ford instead of BPA at a premium position........basically cost the Bills two star players........Wyatt Teller plus either DK Metcalf or AJ Brown. The moral of the story is that you can't afford to reach and settle for less just because it's a "need" position. Addressing needs is what free agency and trade markets are for. If the Bills aren't loving their chances of getting help for Allen after the combine..........then they should be aggressive in UFA and/or the trade market to address those issues.
  10. Yes they have............the Eagles got out to a 13-1 start..........and the Niners are on the NFL's longest current win streak and are smacking the sh!t out of teams and dominating them with a 7th round rookie at QB. Those teams have had more impressive, convincing stretches of regular season performances than the Bills best runs which were early and late in the season(around their annual midseason malaise). But the Chiefs had won like 11 of 12 going into the AFCCG last year.........and lost. And the Packers had a much better regular season than the Rams in 2021.......and lost in the divisional round. Hence my point. 4 seeds have won each of the last 2 SB's.
  11. Well then they can just pretend it's a road game for Buffalo and watch from home just like if that stadium is filled with season ticket holders of the home team. Like normal. So basically, don't think about it more. But the answer.......if the tickets are sold at face value to season ticket holders as they are normally.........is A LOT of season ticket holders can afford it if it's a reasonable driving distance from WNY. Certainly enough to fill our half of an NFL stadium. We'd probably buy almost all of our dozens of tickets as a group and if some people couldn't go then other people would likely fill in for them or get sold off. And we'd drive in big groups to the location the day before.
  12. I think the biggest change with Gabe Davis this year is that NFL defenses are being allowed to be more physical with receivers this season. He's always had rather hard hands........but for whatever reason he not only can't win contested catch situations but also just rough play before he breaks open leaves him unable to re-focus himself and catch the football. I do think the increased physicality allowed in the secondary was a reaction by ownership to receivers with less than full WR1 skillsets like Davis being allowed to look like studs in the stat ledger by illegal contact/holding/PI penalties. WR2's and WR3's putting up big numbers and getting paid like WR1's is bad for payroll control.
  13. The Rose Bowl would be my favorite college venue to host the game if the weather was the usual perfectly dry and comfy in So Cal. But it's not and it turns into a natural disaster fast when it's not. Was raining sideways into SoFi during the National Championship game tonight.
  14. I suspect he will be doing more push-ins than sit-ups.
  15. That combined U and Bills connection..........and for the owner Daboll having a very good rookie HC season. If he gets offered the job he should absolutely take it. Division in transition. No guarantees he will come out of next season looking like any better of a prospect or get better offers.
  16. Do you really think the front office hasn't gotten its due time and again for the past few years? I can see the coaching staff getting added props for this year in particular..........Daboll was "bad year Sam Wyche" for stretches of last season(and good year Sam Wyche for the Giants this season) and that put them on the road in the divisional round. I think McDermott and Dorsey did a better combined coaching job this season...........working together thru a more difficult schedule and getting more out of lesser/diminished talent in the receiving corps. But I didn't love the draft.........the free agent decisions were too heavily toward the defense...............and worst of all I think their approach took a great physical toll on Josh Allen this season. Two straight years of Josh Allen having to play both QB1 and RB1 to win despite a massive investment in defense is an indictment of personnel decisions on that side of the ball.
  17. A number have had longer, more dominant, convincing stretches this season though...........which is the norm for a SB winner. But plenty of teams have won SB's with less consistency let alone dominance........most recently the past 2 SB winners the 4th seeded Bucs and Rams.
  18. There was an expectation from a lot of fans that this season would be a victory march from beginning to end.......like the year the Eagles had until the last month of the season or the roll that the Niners have been on. It wasn't that. Some players had excellent stretches of the season but amazingly the only 3 players on the entire roster who played to anticipated individual expectation or above and did it all season were Stef Diggs, Matt Milano and Sam Martin. But the whole was greater than the sum of the parts this season..........which is a different way to be entering the playoffs than the prior 3 seasons.
  19. They were the #1 red zone defense in the NFL entering yesterdays game (KC had the lowest rated red zone D in the NFL this year). The Bills finished with the 3rd most turnovers caused with 27..........so they actually did cause a lot of turnovers..........and they were 13th in sacks per game so still above average in that regard too.
  20. 5 of the starting back 7 defenders are playing on lucrative contract extensions(Edmunds and Elam aren't but are both first round picks).............2 firsts and 2 seconds spent on DL while Miller, Jones, Settle and Phillips were all signed to free agent contracts. To suggest they haven't spent far more assets on the defensive side of the ball would be ridiculous.
  21. I'd just like to say that it's unfair that Brandon Beane has never had his balls washed relentlessly since 2019 by Bills fans and local or national media and you just NOW want to show him and his unheralded team of never mentioned as future GM's some appreciation. SMH
  22. So you DON'T want a new all-encompassing draft thread every day? What kind of draft fan are you? Oh.......I get it.......you were planning to "drop" a Deuce Vaughn thread on us tomorrow weren't you?
  23. The "May 2022" version of @eball would be disgusted with you turning sh!t heel! How dare you mock Gabe now!?
  24. 1. NFL teams don't make money entertaining fans with anything but football play. The objective is to get you inside and bore you into buying food and merchandise. They weren't going to go crazy distracting fans from their spending by providing a bunch of Damar-related entertainment. 2. One very noticeable aspect: A LOT more women in the crowd. That more empathetic half of humanity is also loaded with those who are attracted to drama. But when it comes to down-to-down give a sh!t about football and being situationally aware of when to make noise........they just aren't the same as a house full of half-inebriated dudes. So overall it wasn't an outrageously juiced crowd. And I know this much.........if Damar is a heterosexual........he is going to need a team of personal assistants to keep track of the women that will be throwing themselves at him for the foreseeable future.
