  2. I had liked the prospect of Mike McCoy, but really wanted to keep Lynn for continuity. Our offense was 6th in offensive TDs heading into week 17. That was based on our running game and TT. Just having Shady doesn't equal a running game. The OL did very well in run blocking these past two years under the zone running scheme. TT accounted for almost 25% of the run game. There are plenty of articles defending his field vision. Does he have flaws (like leaving a clean pocket)? Yeah, everyone does. He's still in the top 1/3 of NFL QBs, and is better than most under pressure. If we get rid of TT or dump our running game scheme, we are most likely going to regress, and that's not going to get us into the playoffs any sooner. If Kromer or some Roman disciple was to take over, then I hope that we keep TT and the zone running scheme in place. If we get some pass happy coach, I doubt the offense will succeed (we don't have the receivers behind Sammy to pull it off). As we've proven year after year, we need BOTH offense and defense to succeed in order to get out of purgatory.
  3. He needs time to develop. If we draft him at 10 (don't trade up), let him and Cardale sit behind TT then compete for the starter spot in 1 or 2 years. They need a real NFL QB coach though.
  4. What are you saying? Schwartz was already on staff and under contract. Pettine left to become HC, but his run D, like Rex/Rob's, weren't good.
  5. If the Bills had kept Schwartz and we got Roman, we'd have had a top 10 O with TT paired with a top 5 D. That would make for some serious playoff runs.
  6. Matt Moore https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DlSet6htnVcQ&ved=0ahUKEwiA2IKZn7PRAhXCrlQKHXg9AT4Q3ywIGzAA&usg=AFQjCNG3nY3YAXW5TDU-nU_uK1hxjCI5iw&sig2=CcsbF9Ce8Z_M0q-lqhpuMw
  7. I went to the bathroom and missed an entire steelers possession.
  8. No, stick with TT until there's a proven successor.
  9. If true, this is good news. The GM should be in charge. That's how many other teams do it without a proven coach. Let Whaley have his day.
  10. Has anyone else noticed that all the candidates are under 50 and would be first time HCs?
  11. Lynn being interviewed in Boca per Ian Rapaport. I guess Pegs hasn't left it solely up to Whaley.
  12. Lynn being interviewed today http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/01/05/anthony-lynn-set-to-interview-with-bills-on-thursday/
  13. I wish we could turn back the clock and hire Darrell Bevell instead of Rex. But I can't. If JS can convince Lynn to stay, and turn around the defense (again). I'm all for it. The O scores points, the D and ST need to be fixed. Philly's defensive DVOA was ranked 4th for the year http://www.footballoutsiders.com/dvoa-ratings/2017/final-2016-dvoa-ratings They were 12th in points per game http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/total/sort/totalPointsPerGame/position/defense This is with all stars Nigel Bradham and Leodis McKelvin starting for them.
  14. Taylor isn't the best, but he's certainly not as bad as some on here think. PFF has a nice little article around him: https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-bills-should-build-around-tyrod-taylor-not-show-him-the-door/ and of course 26CB already beat me to it: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/191337-pff-bills-should-build-around-tyrod/
  15. FWIW Dallas is running T2 defense under Rod Marinelli.
