The article states she "...had struggled with school as a sophomore...", not alcohol. It went on to say that she had made it through and was planning on going to college to become a pharmacy technician. Sounds like the school gave her the help she needed, not only to make it through HS but to put her on the path to a future. Schools' job is to promote learning, too often they are also expected to play a roll in parenting. This certainly is not something the school should be blamed for. Tragic result regardless.
I never knew Gill Byrd was his father. Interesting that he played 10 years and never made the pro bowl until his last two. Guessing JB made more last year than his father made in his entire career!
Flash forward a couple years, there was an interview with Kelly talking about playing for Oakland but snickering and saying that Buffalo still owned the rights to him. Then Al Davis is asked about his chances of acquiring him to which he responds that Ralph Wilson still hasn't forgiven him for Daryl Lamonica.
Hope you're right and I'm wrong. Will gladly change my mind on the pick/trade if it works out like the Bennett trade, which I was as upset about as this trade.
Scott Chandler, Lee Smith, Tony Moeaki, Chris Gagg, Mike Caussin, Brandon Kaufmann. Having spent 1st and 6ths on WR, unlikely the Bills will address tight end. This assumes reports of Kaufmann at 245 are accurate, otherwise he stays at WR and he is unhappy.
Couldn't or wouldn't? Maybe the league didn't want to be accused of discriminating against whatever affliction he has that forces him to make this kind of public display
Not sure where this ranks him but:"...Jenkins ran a 4.56-second 40-yard dash while working out for the New York Jets..." per the link below

The Bills would never do anything this stupid. Oh wait (somebody has to mention it), the Bills gave up (3) 1's and a 2 for Cornelius Bennett (Bell was a former number 1). Just sayin, that didn't work out so bad. As has been pointed out, picks can be overrated.

Sounds like he really did turn his life around, wasn't trying to hide, paid taxes etc.
One of my best friend's older brother was best friends with TG in high school. He actually asked this person to start Paychex with him. Instead, after making a few million in Rochester, he went off to Colorado and started a restaurant with Billy Kidd (famous skier in the 60's). That didn't turn out so well, he returned to Rochester and got back in to the ski business. After TG bought the Sabres he gave his old buddy a job as sales and marketing director. Long story even longer, my friends brother told us that TG's attitude was that the "team" started with him (TG) and ended with Lindy. The players were interchangeable. This attitude resulted in pretty much what everyone else has said. Hopefully since he is getting on in years he'll be more interested in winning than profit but I'm hoping ownership goes a different direction.
Can't ask for much more than this. Seattle had (3) 5th's and (4) 7th's last year. All the 5th's and 2 of the 7th's are still with the team, hope they let the wrong one get away.
