  1. Big Sky Conference in the house!!! I love how everyone immediately compares him to other white receivers.
  2. Amen- Losing Perry was a sad consequence of the Jauron expulsion. He did a lot with very little talent.
  3. The Bengals have a tough defense and the Bills are a work in progress on both sides of the ball (especially defense). It's no big surprise that they lost. At least they didn't get blown out. Bottom line; they are showing up and competing every week. They may not win them all, they may not even win enough to go to the playoffs. But at least they will go down swinging.
  4. How did this become such a political thread? Can't we all, in the spirit of America, come together and agree that Hank WIlliams, Jr. is a third-rate country singer with two "hits" that both stink? It's time for a regime change.
  5. Hank Jr. is a hack. Each year I turn on MNF hoping they finally got rid of his tired schtick, but no. It's time for a change. Give the gig to Hank III.
  6. Wow, only nine Bills covers in the whole history of SI. I wonder how many times Tom Brady alone has been on the cover.
  7. Freddy got jobbed!
  8. I think it's always an advantage to have possession after the half. If your team is down, you have a chance to put those ever-important "adjustments" to work and get caught up. And if you're winning, it's a great chance to put the hammer down.
  9. A couple of reality-based observations we should all keep in mind: 1. It's only been three games 2. The Pats game could have gone either way, let's be honest. If Brady only throws three picks instead of four, the Pats win because they score TDs at will. 3. The Bills have a serious depth problem and the injuries are just starting to mount. 4. The Bills' D has not inspired much confidence the last two weeks. 5. Buffalo is only a few games removed from undisputed suckitude as a franchise. There is still a lot of football to be played, lets not get carried away just yet.
  10. Pretty bad list. Jets at #8 ahead of the Raiders at 14, who just beat the Jets' arse? It seems like all of these "rankings" cling to previous seasons' results for the first few weeks of the season.
  11. What does it meeeeeeaaaaaan???
  12. Generally speaking, the peak of a male athlete's abilities comes at around age 29-30. This is almost never true for NFL players because they get beat down so hard through their twenties. Freddy managed to make it to his peak years without getting worn out. It's called Old Man Strength, and it's for real. As an avid skier, cyclist, and swimmer I can say that the last few years (age 30-34) I have felt stronger, more balanced, and fitter than ever before with no additional effort. And that's on two rebuilt ACLs!
  13. My neck! My back! My neck and my back!
  14. In terms of playing style, I see very little in common. Just for starters, Fitz is way more mobile than Warner ever was and Warner had twice the arm of Fitz. And then there's the whole Jesus thing with Warner...
  15. Maybe not. You would be surprised at how many sports fans ask me, when I mention I'm a lifelong Bills fan, "didn't they lose like three Super Bowls in a row?". I just say, "four", and wait for the big laughs. And I don't think it should be required that you are a die-hard Bills fan to register here. Some people are just football fans looking for perspectives on the team, a good place to go for wings while they're in town for a game, etc. They aren't all trolls.
  16. Sounds an awful lot like Poz 2.0
  17. I think the perceived historic peak in negativity has a lot to do with the existence of message boards. The Bills have put far worse teams on the field, but most of that was before the internet era, when there was no open forum for fans to express their grief in such massive volume.
  18. Agreed. I remember the Rochester D&C publishing a spoof on the Bears' Super Bowl Shuffle, called "The Stupor Bowl Shuffle", mocking the utter aimlessness of the Bills' franchise. Actually, the Bills have been desperately bad at many points in their history. The '90s were really a fluke for this organization.
  19. Jettisoning Trent Edwards and Langston Walker did not, in any way, shape, or form, provide a convenient excuse for a losing season. The article was making a lot of sense up until that point!
  20. The Expendabills
  21. It's not like they are playing with 10 guys on offense now that Lee is gone. Somebody is going to have to cover somebody, and somebody else will get open. Lee Evans is NOT that special.
  22. We here talkin' 'bout practice. Practice.
