Gotta disagree with you. I think this team has enough talent to at least make it to the playoffs. They have been poorly prepared, inconsistent and poorly coached at least for the past two years. Consistency comes with good coaching and that IMO is what has been lacking lately. There are many reasons for the 17 year drought, but lately I don't believe it has been because of a lack of talent.

If it's Kaepernick I'm done. No BS. I served 23 years to protect his right to protest, but that doesn't mean that I have to like what he stands for, which is self promotion and creating an issue where there was none. He says he was protesting "injustice" but never gave us any specifics about exactly what he was kneeling about. I suspect he doesn't even know, he just wanted to call attention to himself. Not only that, he sucks as a QB. No thanks.

Why is this topic still here? The Bills will not sign Kaepernick, nor will any other NFL team. He has taken his last snap in the NFL.

The Pats overpaid for Gilmore and they will live to regret it. It was a good decision to let him walk. Like you said there are many holes to fill and that money can and has been used to help plug some of those holes. How about we finish the offseason including the draft and then watch at least half of the season before we decide what kind of team this will be.

You don't have to like everything, but again if you don't like anything about the Bills, then time to find another team. They have done some good things this offseason and I believe the team is better for it. Overpaying for Gilmore was not going to enable them to beat NE. My guess is NE will be sorry they signed him very soon.

I'll tell you what's stupid. It's this thread. You don't plan your offseason worrying about how many comp picks you'll have the following saeason. That would be assinine. But hey don't let that get in the way of your vitriol.

I think there needs to be a middle ground somewhere, but I just don't see it. Some fans do applaud everything and others just criticize everything. Here's a novel idea. How about waiting to see how a move works out before either applauding or criticizing it. From my experience, to do either before knowing how a particular move will work out is just premature speculation. It means nothing until the player or players involved actually perform or don't perfrorm on the field. The rest is just ranting.

Williams was never going to play again and Gilmore was not worth 14 million a year. Hyde was listed by ESPN as one of the best signings of the day. Neither will replace Gilmore. That will come in the draft, but either one is better than Williams right now.

We were never going to re-sign Woods or Gilmore and A Williams won't play again I don't believe. Woods is from the LA area, went to USC and got more money there than he would have anyplace else. Makes perfect sense. Gilmore had talent, but IMO didn't play up to his talent level. Looks like the Bills will draft both a CB and Safety, both positions look to be deep in this year's draft. All three moves made perfect sense to me. Huge hole at WR now though with Woods and Goodwin gone.

Completely agree. The Bills offense was good enough to win. The defense under Ryan was absolutely putrid. He took a top five defensive unit and completely destroyed it.

Doesn't make you a bad American. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. My issue with Kaepernick is that I believe his "protest" was not real and only intended to draw attention to himself. He is a phony and that I don't like or respect. Different opinion than yours I know, but that's what a healthy debate is all about. As for the other two, I don't really know enough about them to have an opinion, but clearly domestic abuse is not to be taken lightly. It is abhorrent.

And he needs to be fired based on what. I have seen all of the fire Whaley threads but nobody has given any solid evidence as to why?

The Sabres do have some good young players, but overall they are wildly inconsistent. One night they look like world beaters and the next night they can't seem to get out of their own way. Just like the Bills.
