Uproxx "infiltrates" the Bills Mafia
xsoldier54 replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's all media bull ****. They are just making **** up. The Pegulas told us from the very beginning that both Rex Ryan and Doug Whaley report directly to them. Rex did not work for Whaley. The owner fired him. Now the GM has to replace him. There is no news here. The reporting structure worked exaclty like it was supposed to. Maybe next coach will report directly to Whaley, maybe not. One thing's for sure. Only his boss can fire him. -
Big media mystery.....why did Ryan get fired?
xsoldier54 replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Love this. All of this drama is ridiculous. As they stated from the beginning since they hired Rex Ryan. Both he and Whaley report directly to the owner. The owner fired the coach. The GM now has to replace him. What's all the fuss about? Seems like they are just creating news these days when there is none. -
MMQB: Peter King on the Bills' HC Search
xsoldier54 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's all BS. Whaley is well respected around the league. He will get our HC and nobody will turn him down. This is just media making up news like they are wont to do these days. Both the coach and the GM reported to the owner. They told us that from the beginning. The owner fired the coach and now it is the GM's job to find another one. Nothing to see here. -
Dont' believe any of this BS. If you didn't learn anything over the past year, it's that the media can't be trusted. They just manufacture stories these days. 95% of what you read from any media source is complete garbage.

Whaley Firing is Inevitable and Pegula Needs to Wake Up
xsoldier54 replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
bull ****. Get a grip. The coach reported to the owner and the owner fired him. Your points are ridiculous and wreak of paranoia. -
Don't understand all the fuss about Whaley and Pegs
xsoldier54 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Completely agree. It is much ado about nothing. Manufactured news, but that's the way the media works these days. They don't report the news, they just make **** up and pretend it's real. -

This. Sullivan is a hack. -
Doug Whaley angry that Rex got fired?
xsoldier54 replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't get that at all. On the contrary. He answered the question truthfully. He did not do the firing and was not involved in the one on one between Rex and Pegula. Can't get much more straight forward than that. He found out from his boss and is acting accordingly. Nothing go on behind the curtain. No hidden meanings. -
Today's press conference was an example of very competent leadership and management. They did not hog the GMs end of season presser. They let him stand on his own two feet. They have empowered him to do his job and they will hold him accountable. That is a sign of good leadership.

GM Doug Whaley's end of season press conference
xsoldier54 replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you may have accidentally mentioned why they absolutely won't take a stand on Tyrod. They will discuss his future with the coaching candidates before committing to him. -
Pegula's do not know how to run a football team
xsoldier54 replied to USABuffaloFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is a difference between ownership and leadership. The owners owe you nothing. The GM and coaches need to be good leaders. They hired the wrong coach and that's on them. They have owned the team for a little over two years and they kept the franchise from moving. I would rather have a mediocre team that stays in Buffalo than a good one that moves to LA or Toronto. Get a grip. -

We'll see. I think he has answers for the Jerry Sullivans of the world. -
Rams Request Permission to Interview Anthony Lynn
xsoldier54 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have seen quite a bit of racist BS on this site over the years. Anthony Lynn will be a HC in the NFL. He is well respected and will get his shot. Might as well be with us. -
If it weren't for the Pegulas that 8-8 and 7-9 team would be playing their home games elsewhere. They are the owners. They don't play the games or coach the team. They picked the wrong coach. They have corrected that mistake.

If you can't see any young talent on this roster, maybe you haven't been watching. I see a team with a boatload of talented athletes that were poorly coached and unprepared. That falls squarely on coaching and they got rid of the guy that's responsible.

Bills offense slips in rankings
xsoldier54 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can't be serious. I can't believe anyone in their right mind would still be advocating for EJ Manuel. He flat out sucks. Nice kid. Terrible QB. -
Because people on here seem to forget that the Pegulas saved both of our pro sports teams. If it weren't for the Pegulas, Buffalo more than likely would have lost both of these franchises and would be without a major league sports franchise. Both teams were already perennial losers before the Pegulas took over and nobody on here seems to recognize that it will take time to turn these teams around. The Sabres and Bills both already have a lot of young talent and are probably a couple of years away from being competitive. I think it's harder in hockey because the league is so balanced. I don't think either team is far off, but people on this board want to win right now. I understand the disappointment that comes with year after year of losing, but the Pegulas have owned the Bills for a little over two years and the Sabres a bit longer than that. They are doing their best to not only turn these teams around, but also the harbour front in general. They are awesome people who care about the community IMO.

Sully: Doug Whaley's team a no-show in finale
xsoldier54 replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly right. It is Whaley's job and he knows a hell of a lot about what goes into the decisions that are made than Sullivan or us. He's been in a front office position for more than 10 years and he knows his job. The biggest failure that I can see from Whaley is hiring Rex Ryan and my guess is that was not entirely his call. I would bet money that Rex interviews well and says all of the right things. All of the front office bought into his BS, not just Whaley, it was Brandon and ownership as well. It was a bad decision and set us back another two years. This is a good team that was poorly coached and ill prepared on game days. That falls squarely on the shoulders of the HC. -
What if Lynn does not want the job here?
xsoldier54 replied to HelloNewman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Look I know it's a very popular trend right now to bash the organization but IMHO this team already has the talent to be a playoff calibre team. The coaching of Rex Ryan was woefully inept and that has held us back the past couple of years. I have every confidence that the next HC and DC will get us there. Looks like it will be Lynn and Gus Bradley so might as welll jump onboard and enjoy the ride. -
Bills vs. Jets Postgame - Goodbye 2016 Season
xsoldier54 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Another disappointing Bills season has ended. I always remain optimistic for next season. Let's hope Lynn has what it takes to be a good HC and if the Gus Bradley rumors are true, we know he can coach a Defense. Hoping for a better season in 2017. -
GDT: Bills vs. Jets 2nd Half Thread
xsoldier54 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good thing this game is on the road. This team would have been booed out of the building if it were at home. -
I have been a fan since day one. I remember having a poster of that first team. I remember the AFL championship years, the down years in the '70's and the Super Bowl years. They will always be my team. Very disappointed in them right now, but I will never give up my allegiance to this team.

ESPN sucks. I moved to Newfoundland 13 years ago and at first I missed it because you can't get it here. We have TSN and Sportsnet. I no longer watch the highlight shows like Sportscenter, even though they have it on TSN which is owned by ESPN. Same music and everything, just different highlights (mostly hockey) and different talking heads. I only watch live sports programming now. Don't miss their BS one bit anymore. I can get information from their website if I want their opinion, but most of the time I only read the results, not the editorial opinions.
