Any Bills of late you'd put on the Wall of Fame?

Not laughing! But Moulds would come first. -

Moorman was a football player.Top punter, ran it, threw it, made tackles, was excellent holder for long snaps. Yeah and I'm an old guy who saw OJ play. Butch Byrd was before my time but his stats would certainly indicate Wall status. I would think Gilchrist too. The OP subject line was "Bills of late" which I read as last 10-15 years. So maybe the fans on the board aren't a joke, they just have better reading comprehension than you. -

First off, I am in no way comparing any of the players, or their circumstances, we're discussing with Bob Kalsu. But the reason I mention him is that clearly he is not on the Wall in recognition of his playing career, and no one has any issue with him being up there (well, maybe somebody does but I'm not arguing about that). The point is, contributions and considerations outside the playing field, such as team leadership on the sidelines or practice field, or the community in the form of their time and focus, are valid points to consider in putting someone on the Wall. Hence my vote for Freddie and Moorman as they contributed on the field for an extended period of time but also off the field both in the locker room and in the community. -
Marty Hurney: Bills hit a homerun!!

Please don't interrupt the narrative with data. -
Bringing in an active alcoholic, which is apparently the case (based on a basic web search it at least appears that way) is a mistake for both the team and the person. Assuming this is the case he needs to get his life together before taking on another high pressure job and this is exactly the sort of anarchy Pegula should be avoiding.

OK, 2 unknown opponents, that's fine. The much bigger factor is how much teams change season to season, in unpredictable ways. I don't have any data on hand to make my point, so maybe I am mistaken and forecasts for two seasons out are almost as accurate as those for the upcoming season. And those forecasts are...so incredibly accurate! In any event, if you have a prediction for the Bills W-L record in 2018, that and $3 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

Strength of schedule discussions for the coming year are tenuous at best given the changes in teams from year to year. Speculating on the strength of schedule for the following year, when 6 of the opponents are not even known, is fruitless.

Bills decline to match Gillislee offer sheet
abc replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Logically I'm fine with this. Emotionally, I liked watching TD Mike play for the Bills and have the feeling that almost by definition the Pats will end up with the better deal on this and Gillislee will run amok on the Bills D in the two meetings. The scars run deep. -
I agree they probably aren't still discussing it, but I like making the Pats wait every single second for a decision either way. No reason to give them more time with more information for planning contingent actions either way. It's not clear to me it means they will match or not match, however.

I think the Bills logic is to stop drinking and go with Cardale Jones, Nick Foles, etc. I.e. "their hand". -

You used Waylon Jennings in a TBD post...my hat is off to you, sir! -
EJ is a free agent and highly unlikely to be part of the Bills in 2017. If we talk about EJ, might as well talk about any other FA QB. If EJ is lucky he will be a back-up somewhere that he doesn't actually have to play and could parlay it into a Todd Collin's-esque career of holding a clipboard. Or maybe a better analogy is a Bob Uecker-like career - he used to say that his career was shortened when they actually got to see him play.

Kelly "Best QB ever for the Bills"/ Who is number 2?
abc replied to HT02's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think 1-3 are hard to argue. Kemp lead the team to two championships. Fergy was a solid starter for many years. After that it's debateable. Flutie and Taylor...OK. Bledsoe and Fitz? Maybe. Lamonica? Perhaps but not a lot of playing time relatively speaking. -
How has your life changed since we were in Super Bowl 28?
abc replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was living in Georgia at the time and actually went to the game. Soon afterward I got married, moved to Pittsburgh and went to grad school, had daughter #1, moved to New Jersey, had daughter #2, moved to Corning, NY, had daughter #3, moved to Tokyo, moved back to Corning, moved back to Tokyo, moved back to Corning, got divorced, got married again. I remember the Bills leading at halftime and I went and called my brother on a pay phone instead of watching Michael Jackson perform at half time. Then it went to sh*t and I ended up with one of the worst hangovers of my life the next day. Hard to believe they just played the last football game in the Georgia Dome. It's only 25 years old.
