  1. Nothing against Spector personally but I'm not sure his play was much above practice squad replacement level
  2. There may be something to this. In 20+ years of watching the NFL, I don't think the officiating is biased against the Bills. But I do think refs have a directive to keep games close, when in doubt. Bad calls seem to disproportionately help the team who's losing, unless it's a massive blow out. This would make sense from a business perspective too - keep games close -> keep more fans watching until the end -> more eyeballs on the TV for longer -> more ad dollars.
  3. Byes and home field advantage in the playoffs are very important if the last six years of Bills playoffs have taught me anything.
  4. I'm thinking similar to our current system, but more and better I guess. With the ability to tell refs to throw flags. Refs do get help from officials in the sky, but not enough. For example, the two consecutive phantom holding calls on the Bills last weekend could have had someone in the sky tell the refs to pick up those flags quickly, but nope. Similarly, sky refs should be able to tell refs to flag stuff like the obvious face masks last night.
  5. Keep a rotating stable of refs, not all of whom call a game each week. NFL has tons of money and can do this. Only assign refs with good games the previous week to work the following week - send refs like last night to the "bench" for a couple weeks for some film review and rotate in another crew. Also allow fast use of video review on big calls by a team of refs looking at video feeds and communicating with on field officials by ear radio quickly.
  6. Browns mortgaged the future for Watson. They still need another few years to recover from that
  7. So assuming we put him on our PS we basically just stole a practice squad player from the Falcons lol
  8. I'm optimistic. America drastically needs a reduction in the size, scope, and spending of our federal government for our future economic well being. A second term Trump administration - with input from Elon Musk - may be the best chance America has to cut red tape, bureaucracy, and bloat in government.
  9. I have a feeling all of those leftists who wanted to add seats to the Supreme Court and get rid of the Senate filibuster are about to become very big fans of the filibuster.
  10. I am voting for Donald Trump
  11. McDermott is consistently awful with challenges. Replay assistant or whoever advises him of that decision needs fired
  12. Two brutal phantom holding calls in a row
  13. Shockingly bad penalty on Rapp there. He did nothing wrong
  14. Supply and demand. Inflation always comes from government increasing the monetary supply while the supply of goods isn't increasing nearly so much. Data don't support the greed narrative as producer price inflation (price companies pay) is up just as much as consumer price inflation (price we pay).
  15. Every week I check ref assignments for Shawn Hochuli because of his blatant anti Bills bias. Haven't drawn him yet. Tra Blake this week.
  16. In the UK they'd throw him in jail for two years
  17. This is stupid. Spaz is a normal word and not a slur. Anyone who is upset over this sucks.
  18. PFF is definitely not perfect and Josh was absolutely better than Geno last weekend. So that's a miss for PFF. Still, if I'm comparing two offensive linemen or linebackers I've never heard of before, PFF is my only option other than finding and watching film beyond YT highlights myself. And I find PFF usually is pretty correlated with players I think had especially bad or good games.
  19. Yeah, it's the weaponization of government to go after political enemies and promise to restructure the country for power (pack SCOTUS) that has me voting for Donald Trump to stop left wing authoritarianism.
  20. OL looked really good in both pass and run blocking to me yesterday, so credit to that unit
  21. Great game. Really not much to feel bad about there. Enjoy the week, rest up, and get ready for Miami
  22. I knew his career was pretty much over as soon as that injury happened unfortunately. Achilles is the single most difficult injury to come back from if your job requires speed/explosiveness. The data for NFLers coming back from Achilles injuries is horrible
  23. Baylon Spector is ranked 144th out of 152 linebackers in the league who've played a big enough sample size for PFF this year. He's not great. Hope Bernard gets well soon.
