  1. I was all for starting Orton after the Houston game because I want results now. I may have been wrong. Miami stuck with Tannehill last year when all the fans wanted him benched. Many of the things being said about EJ now, were said about Tannehill. Their patience is starting to pay off, he is starting to look like an NFL QB. He has a ways to go but he is improving. If Orton is not the future, start EJ
  2. Where is the automated response to this thread? This horse has been beaten to death.
  3. Wes Walker run that slant Mario looks like he's in a trance whats the warm feeling down my pants
  4. The Bills play Denver tough, putting a lot of pressure on Manning all day. The refs feel bad for Manning, he is well liked and respected. Under 2 minutes to play, the Bills lead 24 to 20. Denver is driving. On a critical 4th down, there is a mysterious holding call on Gilmore. It is a cheap call in the sense that the Broncos secondary have been getting away with the same crap all day. The Broncos score a TD with seconds left. The Broncos win 27 to 24. Since he is at Mile high, Orton is caught on camera rolling a doobie. The NFL is happy, Peyton does it again. Vegas is happy, the Bills covered the spread. TBD blows up with "fire everyone threads". Onto Green Bay. Go Bills!!!!
  5. This defense has benched three QB's. If they bring their "A" Game, anything is possible. Anything less than that, it could get ugly.
  6. I agree, i don't think an IV of JD at half time would get him through a game.
  7. I still remember when Hackett wanted to run a fast paced Offense. He had to slow it down because EJ was not ready to run it at that pace.
  8. Exactly! Makes as much sense as this thread. Bottom line, Smith earned the spot on the roster because Moaeki could not take it from him. It reminds me of last years Da' Rick Rogers thread.
  9. I think Moeaki played the Bills. He used Buffalo for a paycheck until he was ready to play again. Made sure he was cut, and signed with the team he wanted. Just like Blount played Pittsburgh to get to NE, and Martin played Miami to get to SF. Just my opinion.
  10. It will be played so much, the Browns will be humming the "Shout" song on the way home. Like a bad song you cant get out of your mind.
  11. James Lofton and Andre Reed were fun to watch. The defense could not double both, they had to pick their poison. We have a rookie, and a 2nd year receiver that are better than any #1 receiver we have had in a long time. The future is bright. Quit bellyaching on who got the yards, Sammy will get his share. Go Bills!!!!
  12. The Tuck rule was his most famous call. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walt_Coleman
  13. Cower also said on the pregame that its crazy to keep changing coaches every couple years and that Marrone needs to be given a chance. Its difficult for the players to keep learning new systems. They never become experts at the system. I honestly don't think hardly any of the coaches on the list would even come to Buffalo. Hell, Chip Kelly wouldn't come here. He basically said he would go back to Oregon before he came here.
  14. "What we've got here is a failure to communicant" Cool Hand luke
  15. The Quarterback, Brad Johnson, was Tampa Bay's starting QB in 2001. The final year Dungy was coach. Gruden did not bring Johnson to Tampa bay. In 2002 after winning the Super Bowl Tampa Bay had 7 players selected to the Pro Bowl. Derrick Brooks, John Lynch, Shelton Quarles, Simeon Rice, Warren Sapp, Brad Johnson, and Mike Astott. All 7 played in 2001 under Dungy. And that did not include their #1 receiver, Keyshawn Johnson. Not one was brought in by Gruden. The core of the Team was not brought in by Gruden. In fact, Grudens first year was his most successful. As the core group left, so did the success of Tampa Bay.
  16. The question of signing Hughes was asked early in the season. Chris brown gave his opinion, It is question 4. He basically says that the the amount of money Hughes may be asking for, added to what Williams, Williams, and Dareus will be making, would eat up a significant portion of the salary cap just for the defensive line. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2014/08/15/fan-friday-8-15/
  17. McKelvin knew better. McKelivin did the same thing in 2009 against the Patriots. We were winning with about 2 minutes left. New England kicks it off after their score. It was about 3 yards deep. What does McKelvin do, he brings it out. The Patriots strip him of the ball. The Patriots score and win the game. At least no one vandalized his yard this time,
  18. It was good to see this young offensive line have a good game. They have another big test on Thursday. If the offensive line can keep improving, the Bills, with that stout D, could finish stronger than many expect. GO BILLS!!!!
  19. After 9 games, their record in 2012 was 3-6; 2013 3-6; 2014 5-4; How is that going in the wrong direction?
  20. Why is it that Marrone is held accountable for the the failures of the Offence, but is given no credit for the success of the Defense? Dareus was very average until Marrone arrived. In 2012 the defense was 22nd, 5.6 yards allowed per play. In 2013 it was 4th, 4.9 yards allowed per play. This year they are 4th again with 4.9 yards per play. I agree that the offence needs improvement, but IMO the overall team is still much better now than it was when he took over. Only giving him 1 1/2 seasons to overcome the past failures of 14 years is not enough time. I believe calling for his head, bringing in another coach nobody wants, and starting all over again is crazy talk giving the direction of the team.
  21. Unless this is a new fire Hackett thread, or fire Marrone thread, expect it to be closed. Please use the search function. I thought the O line did a hell of a job.
  22. It is not all bad. The Bills are 7th for Red Zone attempts per game. They are getting there, they just need to complete the drive. http://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/red-zone-scoring-attempts-per-game
  23. I thought the O line played well too. Several times, Orton had a lot more time than he thought. Their continued improvement can get this offence rolling. There is a lot of football left to play. GO Bills!!!
