Not for nothing but their starters played about 7 plays. I was interested to see this lb experiment and was pleasantly suprised with the results. It will be interesting to see if he can do it against starter level talent but he wasn't really given the opportunity to last night.

Did my best to transcribe for those that missed it: Talked about players gained thigpen, smith, barnett but no mention of dareus. Mentioned losing whitner, pp, and stroud. 1. How much will losing pp hurt? Golic says barnett not the tackler pp is but a good fill in. Says their d was bad and they just lost players ( no mention of draft heavy on d) greeny says while maybe it wasn't bad to lose players from such a bad d. 2. Is fitz the right qb? Golic doesn't like his completion % and says he likes depth @ wr and fitz isn't bad. Greeny says he's a good example of low expectaions - if he was a first rnd pick he'd be a bust but bc he's from harvard ppl give him a chance. 3. Will they use spiller more in run game? Golic says yes more of a split. Greeny compares pick to reggie bush as a flashy unneccesary pick and doesn't know why they drafted him and golic agreed. 4. What kind of role will brad smith play? Golic says same as jets calls him jack of all trade master of none. Greeny calls him special teams ace and says lots of jets fans felt he was underutilized in ny. 5. How many wins? Golic says they will have a hard time winning as many as last year and greeny defends them saying they we so close in so many games both settle at 5-11 and liams mum goes 8-8. Afterwards they talk with chris carter and greeny says he could see them surpassing the dolphins and out of the basement and they have more talent then dolphins carter disagrees. Carter somewhat disses the wrs says stevie working into top ten but not much after that but gives fitz a lot of credit. Says their biggest problem is division they play in. Schefter again tweeting lee to be gone soon possibly.

I believe the interest was in brian waters who was their pro bowl guard.

I gotta say that is tough picking. I would imagine paul tagliabue and bill parcells will eat up 2 of the 5 spots and with carter, brown, and reed they might split the votes on themselves and keep each other out. There are a lot of good players on that list however a name that stood out to me was terrell davis I thought when he retired he hadn't accrued enough years to be eligible or is it only baseball with a play time minimum? He was great but only 6 years in the league might keep him out (imo he's not worthy as pretty much anyone who ran on denver put up good numbers)
-
How about as a ss? All of the body comparisons show him to be along those lines. He would actually have size for the position. Now I have no idea what his cover skills would be as d line to secondary is a long way away but just a thought. It prob won't be long before he's on the scrap heap anyway so why not give him every chance to be succesful.

Going to a game this year in Buf?
section122 replied to Billsfanatic19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tunnel end zone also are great seats... players come and go right in front of you and the jumbotron is directly across from you. Its section 122(!) and where I sat for the 5 years I had seasons. Great view and more bills fans than not plus you get to see first down man and his sweet mullet (and I mean it respectfully)! Anyone on this board know what I'm talking about? -
Yeah I live in auburn (btwn syracuse and rochester) and listen to whtk. John ditulio (sp?) Has an excellent show from 3-6 weekdays. I believe wed is bills brothers and they spend the first hour covering only the bills. Its a great sports show and available on the iheartradio app for smart phones as well as streaming on the web at whtk.com I swear I don't work for their sales department but maybe I should haha.... seriously tho I think you would enjoy it. The only buffalo radio I hear is when I'm @ the games but it sucks that a major metro area has to deal with poor sports talk really no excuse....

How to watch football online this year

None that I have noticed, on the plus side they are usually the ons streaming at the highest bitrate which allows the clearest picture esp when viewing full screen. Well done sir! Haha -

This one worked well for me last year and the old reliable is myp2p.eu both of these I believe require you to dl sopcast but are pretty reliable. -
I immediatly thought this as well... camp fodder and one who knows the pats system - a very belicheat like move. Secondly, as a backup matt moore is very capable and not as bad imo as last years results made him look to be. Henne is a huge question mark, I agree, but we will see about him as he is still developing. I just hope miami doesn't suck bad enough to get a top 3 pick and a shot @ luck that's the only reason I'm defending them haha!
-
I know it happens but not generally a good thing when it does :-) ... I'm done with this team!
-
I agree.... about the second part haha. Just don't want troupe forgotten about. Haven't heard much in the tc wrap ups but the reports in the off season were that he was working hard trying to gain strength/mass. I hope they both end up being monsters and that k williams can play end... to many good players is a problem I wish the bills had.
-
Are we really hoping a 7th round rookie supplants a second year 2nd rounder? I hope he develops but if he leaps troupe even by the end of the year that is not a good thing. I would hope he can become a rotational depth player this year and of course a stud at some point (as I hope for every draft pick), however I haven't given up on troupe yet and hope others haven't either. Definately an intriguing prospect tho... I can't wait to see this guy in person. I'm always amazed at the size of some of these guys that are still athletic!

What Would You Do With The O-Line
section122 replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I liked urbik a lot last year and look forward to seeing more of him. Also I wonder why is pears starting over wrotto who I also though did well in limited time. I wouldn't mind urbik wrotto on the right side at least in a preseason game to see what happens. -
This talk of a lb over a qb is imo effin crazy! Even if fitz works out would it be terrible to draft a franchise qb and let him sit and learn for 1-3 years and then take over. Lb is a position that can historicly be found in later rounds. Draftek has hightower ranked as a rnd 2 prospect so would anyone be upset with jones/barkley/ other qb and hightower? As an aside I believe d thomas from oregon is also draft eligible next year, not sure where he rates tho.
-
Not sure if your agreeing with me but that was what I was trying to say as well... moss was above and beyond whatever chad thought he was.

quote name='aristocrat' timestamp='1311892182' post='2197366'] how is ocho over the hill? 14 games, 12.4 aver, 67 catches with 831 yards on a bad bengals team...with welker and those te's ocho will put up huge numbers this year. they will win a lot of games but i'm not so sure about this being a "team" come january. Ill agree about january but not about him putting up huge numbers. T.o. put up better numbers across the board than him last year in the same amount of games. As well as all of those offensive options taking touches away from him... just not sure what he has left in the tank and imho its not much. I may be wrong but I thought it was his effort on the raiders that was questioned but def agree about co appearing to be close to the end.
-
Actually no I was very worried about what moss would do to us and was incensed at how little they gave up to get him. Also cmon moss and chad are nowhere near in the same class nor have they ever been. Chad may still have some gas left and moss none now but since they came in the league its not even close! But thanks for knowing what I think/thought......

Eh... the haynesworth signing scares me this does not. Johnson is over the hill and not altogether spectactular he maybe solid at best but I don't expect more than that.

The official JUST SAY NO thread
section122 replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oakland is a very real possibility as is seattle to be a starter. Then there are several teams that would be much better fits (phi, houston) to be a backup. As well as darkhorses mia, min, arizona, sf (to name a few). This nonsense that he won't be signed needs to stop. He will be highly sought after imo bc of his record, his collegiate record, and his athletic skill. The bills most likely will not make a play for him but they would be lucky to have him here. -
Boss will make much more many than this and it seems all of your contracts decrease from year to year. I like the players targeted but don't think the numbers add up.. I believe boss will command 5-6 mill in year one, also think florence will want more than a 2 year deal as he has stated this is his last chance for a big deal.

Per Chris Brown - Bills won't target top 60 FAs
section122 replied to akm0404's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
http://www.whtk.com/pages/johnditullio.html The podcasts are under. The on demand tab... not sure if they are there as I'm doing this from my phone and can't click the link for them. We will all know the answers soon enough teams can negotiate with all players starting today and sign other teams unrestricted fas starting wed per espn. There is no way buddy can sleep for 3 days right? Haha -

Gotta say this is depressing but not unexpected statements. Same old bills. I can't believe they are ruling out the top 60 players! That means they are saying well here are the best players available... we don't need them. We'll sell our fan base on midlevel guys that everyone will hope improves from their previous stats/skills. I haven't gotten irritated once during the lockout knowing it would (more than likely) be done before anything would be missed. This however irks me quite a bit! -
I think the vikings and maybe the phins are much better fits as well as the titans. All offer a chance to legitemately compete for a starting position as none of these teams have an entrenched starter and the vikes/titans need a mentor for their rooks.
