Ummm isnt this the thinking that got the bills f.o. in trouble for not drafting orakpo because they hated UT players. Each player is a separate entity and should be treated as such. Do you get judged on your work performance because someone who went to the same college as you did a good or bad job? ummm does it have to be racist or could it be that he was thinking that cam newton would be a bust?

I think this year maybe bpa available again. Reaching for needs is what got us into this mess whether it was a rb to replace mcgahee or a cb to replace clements. I think if fitz keeps performing qb could be addressed in the second rnd w a ponder type pick... if he's the best bpa

Reality check about yesterdays game...
section122 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
+1 No mention ever by the announcing team about the poss of his elbow being in! How many cameras are in an nfl stadium there had to be a view more definitive than what we got when they kept showing him stepping on the wr shin -
A Few Thoughts About The Game
section122 replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Spiller hasn't made the field as much as some would like for a variety of factors 1) he still is a liability in pass protection which most rookie rbs do so its tough to have him in when the d knows it means run 2) he still needs to learn this is the nfl w athletes everywhere the highlight bouncing to the outside and run by everyone doesn't work in the pros... he does need to learn to cut upfield sometimes and take the extra few yards 3) fred jackson is a beast! Anyone want to try to discredit that? Although rb is a position where players can come in and contribute right away not all do. We have a good rb in front of him and no super bowl expectation so why rush him? -
With the first pick in the 2011 draft the Bills select....
section122 replied to DC Grid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know where he's rated as a prospect but every time I watch wisconsin jj watt on the dline is the best player on the field... does anyone know where he is expected to go? -
2 things... first I agree it seems he's gearing this team up for sale and that's why there are not going to be big contracts handed out which is general operating procedure when selling a sports team (thinks no hornets talking about trading cp3). Secondly isn't he trying to protect his family from the inheritance tax? Seems to me he is lowering the value of this franchise more than the cost of the tax (finance experts little help please) would be. For all of the people thanking him for keeping the bills in buffalo for so long couldn't he set up a sale that would execute upon his death to a group that would keep the bills here (jim kellys group perhaps). He is a bussiness man making money and we are the fans suffering because of it which is why... Hitting him in the wallet is the only way to incite change! Don't give me the they might move argument either floating that idea forced people to pay for an inferior product just to keep it around jax and oak are way more likely candidates to move. When they tarp seats at the ralph then we can worry.

Spread offenses also are more succesful in college because it relies more on having better athletes than your competition. The field is spread which gives your athletes more room to maneuver. It doesn't translate to the pros because everyone (even the bills) have athletes everywhere. That's the simplest description I can give hope it helped.

Why all the hate for cuse fans? I am nowhere near a bandwagon fan and neither are any of my friends! You used to see me on the thruway but I'm sorry I can't afford 400 for my tix and 20 each trip in tolls 35 in gas and however much for beer and food. On a flip side though the dome and not the rodgers center is where the home away from home games should have been played imo. Simply bc there is no geographic allegiance here it could be nyg nyj pitt phi or buff and the bills are not doing what they need to create fans. To finish if the bills won bandwagoners would come from everywhere not just cuse....

sunday is ralph c. wilson jr.'s 92nd birthday
section122 replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My birthday is also Sunday and I was pissed when the schedule came out that there was no game for me to celebrate my birthday with. Then we got smacked by the jets and I wasn't mad. Then we got beat by the jags and I am actually happy. Next year ill still hope for a mnf game on my birthday... dam life of a bills fan -
I tthink there are several options next year for our first pick not neccesarily a qb and a guy like ponder is why. I do not see him being taken in the first rnd as locker mallett and luck (most likely to stay in school imo) will prob be rated in the first tier with kellen moore, pryor, and ponder being in the second tier. I would not be upset w ot/dl first pick and one of those three second or third rnd. If after a year chan doesn't like what he sees we can pick one first rnd and voila we have our depth!

Wow the anger and venom being spewed. Not everyone that drinks and gets loud at a bills game is fat, drunk, and/or stupid but your generalization is appreciated. Yes even if there is cans and garbage strewn about it does not reflect solely on Bills fans. Go anywhere that there is a mass gathering of ppl and it will happen. People have fun at Bills games and yes sometimes one person's fun infringes on another but seriously the garbage in the stadium is what ppl are choosing to get this upset about? Can you imagine the amount of garbage we will leave behind when we have something to celebrate inside the stadium and dont rush to our cars and out of the parking lot immediately? p.s. Yep I stand... the entire game or until ppl that want to ruin the fun get the ushers to tell me to sit down. First down, third down, whenever, the 12th man isn't on the wall because we sit on our hands!

I don't know how social you are but in talking w the bottle collectors we found out there are separate ppl that collect plastic, glass, and cans. Also in talking with them they routinely make hundreds and one guy claimed 2000 from one game. A lot of ppl do make piles to make it easy and we always gave food/shots/beer to whomever collected the cans. Littering bothers me too but more in a side of the road way. If there are ppl paid to clean up no worries.

With the first selection of the 2011 NFL draft...
section122 replied to jbase's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pryor is graded out as a second or third rnd pick... if you recall troy smith won with ou and got drafted in the 5th. This may have merit (imo) if it said with the first pick in the third rnd the bills select.... terrelle pryor. -
Don't want to mock players but I would almost prefer a marcel derious (de) over a qb if luck stays in school back to back gashings on the ground have pushed me to this conclusion and derious(sp?) is a beast he lived in the backfield against fla

Are you serious?????? Donald sterling who owns the clippers never tries to field a winner and still makes money so why change his business model. Unfortunately until ralph gets hit in the pocket he has no reason to change. Your line of thinking is much like being blackmailed. I had season tixs for 5 years driving from syracuse and couldn't do it anymore because... its not worth it!!!! This team is terrible and they aren't even trying to win this year! I hate when ppl attack other posters on here so don't take this post personally but come on man stop letting ralph hold you hostage.

OFFICIAL GAMEDAY THREAD (10/3/10): BILLS @ JETS

Of all the things that bother me about the bills them celebrating every time they are actually succesful instead of expecting to make those plays makes me the maddest... look at the effing scoreboard! -

Maybe they should try mcintyre at lb! -
I agree that pryor seems like a gailey qb. I would imagine there are several osu fans that can speak on his strengths and weaknesses. Definately another qb for the bills to keep an eye on imo I agree that pryor seems like a gailey qb. I would imagine there are several osu fans that can speak on his strengths and weaknesses. Quarterbacks Bills Nation should be targeting..
section122 replied to Teddy_Daniels's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pryor seems like a chan type qb although I feel as though they purposely avoided one this year to get one next year at the top so I wouldn't be suprised to see us pick one early... hopefully the right one whoever that may be! -
Speculation: Trent Asked To Be Cut

How big of a bills fan do you think trent is now? -
Are we the worst team in the NFL??
section122 replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
+1 I find it odd that we all expected them to be bad but after 1 game ppl are mad that they lost and trashing everyone/everything... half full time for you... dolphins expected to contend in division and we had the ball with a chance to win the game.... twice enough is enough most ppl expected 6-10ish which means 9 more times were gonna have to hear all of this? The 24 hour rule needs to be applied on this board! -
Fantasy Football Help please
section122 replied to billsbacker56's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Essentially your trading a top 5 qb for a top 5 hb and top 10ish qb so it depends what your needs are. Even being a bills fan I routinely try to acquire brady as he is very consistent and over the last few years qb is more important than rb. -
Indications that our O-line is terrible

Indications that our O-line is terrible
section122 replied to SouthGeorgiaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agreed with you and was arguing the same point to my friends until the final drive when trent refused to even try and throw the ball out there to let a wr make a play. At that point in time it became neccesary to try it even if a pick was the result. Final play 5 yard pass to the middle of the field?! The o line def needs work but if u watch the wr aren't gaining separation and the qb isn't throwing to spots instead of players. The optimist in me is hoping this was like the wash game where adjustments can be made before gb. If not it will be another long afternoon. The defense needs some help from our o!
