  1. This deal does actually make sense if you think about it... mckelvins replacement was drafted in round 2 and the broncos were so hard up for a cb there was talk @ draft time of them getting p. peterson. The bills do need a backup and were at the very least interested in tebow meanwhile they have stated (whether true or not) that orton is the number 1... I would be all for this as tebow would have at least a year behind fitz and has amazing intagibles as a leader def someone we all could root for and the players could rally behind!
  2. By my accounts I see oak, sea, ari, and wash as having a def qb need. Then cle, mia, and det (as well as buffalo) possibly needing a qb of the future. With kolb and mcnabb filling 2 of those slots it is looking better and better for the bills to have a shot at a qb early next year. 5 teams and landry jones, matt barkley, and of course luck slotted as first rounders as well as darron thomas and possibly kellen moore I am very hopeful the qb of the future will be drafted early next year. So in short the hype for kolb helps the bills but please just bc rob johnnson burned the bills years ago doesn't mean every qb that is up for trade will be a bust... steve young and brett favre also were traded as well as more recently matt schaub and turned out good to all time great.
  3. Eric decker was the wrs name and he had 9 catches for 183 and was an absolute stud (3rd round pick of den in 2010) and weber was 19-42 for 248 only 1 game I know but it was against a not so good cuse team. If they do sign him hope he's better than I thought/think!
  4. Saw weber play live and wasn't too impressed only 1 game but I did catch a few others and his only skill seemed to be throwing it to the same wr who set a bunch of records for them (name escapes me sorry). Not exactly the name I was hoping for when I opened the thread haha
  5. Okay ill bite... #9 matt barkley (although I don't think there's a chance hell be there @ 9 could see him going higher and could see him staying in school to be #1 in 2013. Then #44 hightower from bama (qb of the def and depth for our lb corp - again don't think he's there this late but hey the big board says so haha). I think 9 is reasonable for our pick range give or take 2 or 3 spots, and I think one of barkley or landry jones will be available, and seriously how many years can the bills neglect the qb position? Also if fitz works out they can understudy for a couple years before taking over if not we have our future.
  6. I like this idea allowing teams to play Thursday games the week after their bye which would guarantee no short weeks for anyone. I do not want an 18 game season bc of how difficult it is to make it through a season unharmed but could see the players agreeing if 3 things happen... 1. Expanded rosters allowing more rest as well as job opportunities 2. Two bye weeks per team also allowing rest and recovery and 3. A variation on ir where players can be placed much like the dl in baseball and come back later in the year without losing the entire year. I think this is feasible for all and wouldn't water the product down much but all things considered I like 16 games a year.
  7. I billieve he's refering to ending the consecutive start streak which the hit moats laid on favre did.
  8. Park on kalifornia (sp?) Then the wait in traffic is minimized... I make it to the other side of rochester (staying for the entire game btw leaving early is blasphemy!) By 7 so you should have no issue.
  9. Oakland I believe has the worst record in the nfl since their 03 super bowl. I agree they have a rabid fan base but not so sure if they are a signature franchise anymore imo.
  10. Clevelands new franchise has had no level of success to speak of and I believe detroits playoff drought is just as long as ours. Honestly though it did take me a while to think of 3 teams in as bad of a situation as ours. Just not sure why these teams would get a pass and the bills (again) get beat up by espn. However I don't discount their location in pats* land as a factor in much of the hate they spew towards the bills.
  11. Cleveland, detroit, and oakland all thank you douche.
  12. I don't understand why bringing competition at the most important position is a bad thing... not saying losman (had his chance didn't prove it - and I blame the organization more than him however) but vince young if available has the ability to challenge fitz which can only help the team, and if he ends up beating him out bc he's better that also helps the team. I don't want some aging vet at the end of his career I prefer someone who may turn out to be something. Dennis dixon also intrigues me as he could be had cheap (5th I believe someone mentioned) and has shown flashes when given p.t.
  13. Before I respond please don't think I'm a ralph basher. I appreciate all he has done and am a third generation bills fan. That being said he did hire russ brandon as the gm instead of getting a football guy as well as numerous hirings of under the radar coaches. My beef isn't with ralph as the owner however I am very frustrated with the lack of resources put into training and developing players.
  14. I have used dhgate.com and had nothing but positive experiences with them. Jerseys will run around 30 to 40 when its all said and done and look good. My friend bought a moorman jersey for this reason tho, me on the other hand own a t.o., a lynch, and an edwards so maybe ill stop buying altogether and jinxing the team ;-)
  15. I used to frequent this site until last years draft. He did the same thing to the bills when they didn't take claussen and even tho he hasn't worked out still from time to time will rag on the bills for not taking him... he has lost almost all credibility with me and this year appeared to copy and paste multiple mocks to make his. Bpa available or maybe in draft is an a no matter what happens but who cares? When dareus improves our d we won't care what this idiot had to say.
  16. Starting lt, #2 corner, #1 wr, and a nickel corner in one draft makes a great draft imo. Yes they aren't stars but they are more than contributors on this team. Gave it an a.
  17. The pats* own the draft but what a good pick for the saints and a great first round for them
  18. Man I hate the cheatriots... is this gonna be jordan? And does it make me a bad person that I'm already hoping whoever they pick ends up sucking? Cmon bust!
  19. My friend who's a dolphins fan (sick I know) says they are very high on him (pun intended)
  20. Mallett to the dolphins?! Qbs going like crazy... the lions are going to have a great d line glad we played them last year haha
  21. Best player fits our biggest need?! Yesssssssir
  22. I think trading back into the second round using our extra 4th as ammo would be a better way to pick up one of the second tier qbs. I don't know who I prefer as they all have things I like (daltons track record, mallets arm, ponders intangibles, kapes mobility, lockers athleticism) and things I hate (daltons and kapes lower level of competition, mallets character, ponders injuries, lockers inaccuracy). Therefore I would prefer a starter in the 2nd on the d line if we go miller in the first with 34. Conversely if the reports are true and dareus falls to us at 3 I wouldn't mind qb or lb at 34. Bottom line is the bills need d line from one of the first 2 picks to help the run d.
  23. Awesome! Miller going at 2 and newton at 1 is a dream scenario as almost everyone on this board would be appeased. Miller and newton fans couldn't be upset, those that want run d help would be happy, those that want size (quinn over miller crowd) would be happy, those that want multiple years of production (mvp national champ game)... could not think how anyone could be upset (except for the op of the fairley thread... sorry). Can I dust of get er done for this?
  24. I see todd marinovich when I look at blaine gabbert. Someone who has trained his entire life to be a qb in the nfl, however, someone I don't think will hold up under pressure as evidenced by his poor completion % when being blitzed. Just my opinion but he scares the heck out of me. Fairley reminds me a lot of sapp and it is suprising to see him low on him. The thing I worry about with him is whether or not he is a chemical creation. The dramatic increase in production and lack of self control (ie numerous personal fouls) on the field scare me. I would love a big nasty however am concerned about his ability to do so with the drug testing policy.
  25. And yet here both of you are on a bills message board 3 days before the draft. Why do ppl come on this board to be haters. Didn't your mother ever tell you if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all? We are all bills fans and there is no need to be an a**hole to other bills fans... save it for pats*, jets, cowboys, etc... fans!
