  1. @MrEpsYtown put it perfectly. If Brown wins the job, the Bills have effectively wasted their 1st round pick. As I said I am not completely against the idea if there is someone sticking out but I think a 3rd/4th round tackle would be a better use of resources. Can you imagine the hand wringing if the 1st round pick doesn't start this year? I think the Bills need to find contributors early. It's why I like TE so much for the Bills. It's a strength in a weak class and the right guy can benefit the run and pass game instead of just one or the other. If it isn't JSN or addison I don't really want any of the other WRs. The tackle position I spoke about so I think the TE is a nice compromise of need and positional value. (especially if there is a small trade down!)
  2. Here is my draft thought that I have been thinking about recently and figure this thread is as good as any to put it. How would people feel about DeAndre Hopkins and pick 34 for pick 27 with Arizona eating most of the salary. This would be about the value of a 3rd round pick and get that 5th year option for Arizona. It would then allow the Bills to solve the WR position and still be in a spot to fill the LB or OT need.
  3. I don't agree and know I am in the minority. Admittedly there is a lot of ifs but the Bills have already upgraded both OG positions. Dawkins in not being replaced at LT so it really just boils down to Spencer Brown. I won't say he can't be upgraded from but he did have a lot going against him last year. He missed all offseason after surgery which isn't happening this year and he gets a huge upgrade next to him. Add in that Boetgger is a year removed from his surgery, and the line should be better this year already. The Bills might draft an OT and if one is there that makes sense I am not against it, I just think the guard upgrades are going to pay more dividends than expected.
  4. Wait we aren't auditioning for GM jobs? Guess I can stop working on the resume! lol
  5. I already lost out on downs trading down now i see my other guy on this list! I should have just stayed put...
  6. JSN is to me by far and away my favorite WR in this class. Unfortunately I think the 12,13 or 14 pick is where he goes. I could see Houston pairing him with Stroud, the Jets grabbing him to partner with Wilson or the Patriots who love a great slot guy. I will be very surprised if he is there at 15 or below.
  7. Sorry I was at dinner and ready to go with my post. We are am Itallian family so meals take a few hours that said... The seattle seahawks stay with edge and grab Derrick Hall auburn. We took a guy with some questionable motivation in rd 1 and follow it up with a guy with a non stop motor. Another all sec selection here Hall will help the defense more than any available og would help the offense. @HappyDays and the raiders are on the clock.
  8. Add me to the list of people who look for route running as the number 2 skill that translates and tells you who has a better chance of suceeding. As dumb as it sounds catching the ball is #1 lol. I hate body catchers or players with drop problems in college. An under rated thing I have grown to not like is players who make contested catches. If they are making contested catches so much in college it is counted as a strength it says to me they aren't getting open. If they aren't getting open in college they won't be getting open in the pros. Which leads me back to route running being so important.
  9. I wasn't going to unless one of the top 3 were available at 5. Once they were I moved on from the idea and grabbed carter. I thought newera had 9 and tried to make a trade up for 20 and 37 to grab Tyree Wilson but he went at 8. When Levis got close to my pick I liked the value much more than at 5. Being able to move up for a 3rd still gives me 4 picks in the top 2 rounds. Can still build the team up and take this flyer even if I don't love Levis as a prospect. Besides Geno could revert to being Geno at any time! Lol
  10. Seattle seahawks select qb will levis from kentucky. We passed on qb earlier and for the cheap price of a 3rd rounder jump ahead of the bucs to ensure we have a qb of the future. He can sit behind geno for a year or even 2 before taking over. Also will levis and dk can beat up anyone lol. @GunnerBill and the steelers are on the clock
  11. @Virgil @Alphadawg7 and i made a trade for this pick. Im ready to make it whenever.
  12. I was trying to trade up to 9 for him nice pick. I think it's @NewEra on the clock as they made a trade.
  13. Yeah if any of the top 3 qbs were there I would have grabbed one. If it wasnt the cards at 3 I might have tried to trade up. I was hoping anderson somehow fell but carter is a nice consolation prize.
  14. With the 5th pick the seattle seahawks select jalen carter dl georgia. The lions and @mannc are on the clock. I get the character concerns but carter is a game wrecker. I thought about tyree here but the foot injury, lack of testing numbers, and being a projection pick led me to Carter. He fills one of the hawks biggest needs and continues the dl arms race in the nfc west.
  15. I think the reason rodgers trade hasnt happened is they will be conditional for several years if he keeps playing so they have to wait until draft night to make the deal.
  16. Seahawks Patriots Giants I was gonna skip this year but this is one of my favorite board activities. Thanks for doing this @Virgil if you want or need any help with it let me know and I will be happy to assist.
  17. Robinson is a net negative imo. He straight up quit on the Bears in his last year there. That isn't very process like and someone I don't want near the team. I don't think Diggs would tolerate it either.
  18. This is why a blocking te or just another te in general is an undermentioned need. Knox stays in to block out of necessity. Shoring up the oline and protection will benefit him tremendously imo.
  19. 3 years 12 million. Singletary is punching air right now. Id imagine he will be back on a very team friendly deal now.
  20. Seriously! Dude makes a joke and the same people whining about beane not doing anything are jumping on him lol.
  21. I don't disagree but it is wild to me that in the middle of march they are still whining about things that will not change. I am also excited about mcd taking over play calling duties as he has been very successful and I'm looking forward to a more aggressive style defense. Ive posted previously how hard it is to win the super bowl with a lot of stats regarding different coaches. Mcd has some flaws but no coach is perfect. Mcd has clearly performed at a minimum as a top 10 coach in this league and over an extended amount of time. People can be mad about not winning the sb this year but does anything think on a talent level at the end of the year the Bills were as good as the eagles, chiefs, or bengals? At the start of the year with Hyde, Von, and a healthy Poyer id say yes. By the end of the year I don't think they were. Add in everything that happened to the team and the city and I thought mcd coached very well this year.
  22. You negative posters really cant help yourselves. It's march go do something else other than constantly whine and cry. Life is about so much more than the Bills and football. If this team makes you that miserable you seriously need to reflect on your life and where it's at. If you're trolling and spreading misery brings you joy please again reevaluate yourself.
