  1. Schefter on Mike and Mike this morning stated that the Jets are offering 9-10 million and he wants 15. Who won that game? Same schedule save for 2 games. Bills got Bengals and Chiefs (2 playoff teams combined 23-9) and the Jets got the Browns and Raiders (combined 10 and 22). Jets finished 2 games better and lost to the Bills both games.
  2. I have reformed to loving the upper deck and stated so in other threads. However from the end zones you can see the blocking assignments, routes develop, and the overall play develop much better imo.
  3. The thing is.... I don't place last year's performance solely on Mario. Him quitting was certainly a detriment. The biggest change in the 2 years was injuries. 2014 saw an incredible situation with regards to staying injury free. 2015 not so much. Also, even though Crayonz is on another crusade (I thought these violated the TOS) most of us aren't excusing Rex. He came in and tried to blend his and Scwartz's defense and it didn't work. Then he tried to go full bore into his defense and it was too late in the year. He shares some of the blame but just as he wants to say it is dumb to put it all on Mario, it is dumb to put it all on Rex.
  4. Oops my apologies. I thought it came out much earlier. I think the writing was on the wall that he was gone pretty much no matter what. That money was used on Glenn and Gilmore. Where would they have found the money to keep either Bradham or Mario? Those moves were going to be made regardless.
  5. The first 40 seconds of that video are a waste. Then he goes lights out! Great skill in both placement and bounce. I love Schmidt though and think he can be the punter long term. I still stand by my assertion that a lot of the kicking problems last year were on poor snaps from Sanborn.
  6. Love - trade down Hate - trade up, a qb in the first 2 rounds Expect - DL/LB first pick after a trade down
  7. Shoot I'm rooting for a trade down. There are so many players that are fits that should be available at 19 it only makes sense to trade down, get their guy, and gather an extra pick. I will actually be kind of disappointed if they DON'T trade down unless someone like Lawson slides unexpectedly. Get 'em! I was ready to fire replies but you hit the nail on the head here! The guy who has proven to be about money, who stated early in the year that he wouldn't take a pay cut or restructure? That is the guy who, after a productive year, would renegotiate to give money back? That is a much bigger stretch that your next line. Why wouldn't he have taken less money to go to the Eagles as he has proven he was productive in that system? Why would he float the first team to offer 10 million gets me?
  8. Yup. I've sat through blizzards, rain, freezing temps, etc... That freezing rain was out of control and it just kept coming. Might be the coldest walk back to the car ever! I just looked it up to see if memory had made it worse than it was and here is what I found "The game began with a pelting rain and winds gusting at more than 30 miles per hour, and ended with flurries and wind gusts above 50. "
  9. I'm biased here but anyway.... The tunnel was the best for me. 1. You get the players coming and going which was the best benefit. Seeing legends of the game up close and personal adds an extra touch to the amazing experience that is being at the Ralph. 2. I used to be a huge Madden fan so the view was exactly what I was used to . Seriously though watching plays develop is much easier having them come at you or away from you. 3. The atmosphere is fantastic. The fans there are just a bit more rowdy. I have some great tales from my seats. As for the sun and the wind, the most miserable experience was the Giants game in I believe 08 where it was driving freezing rain. We got punched in the face by freezing rain for 3 hours. That said I can think of several November games where I was plenty warm having the sun beating on me (as well as a bit of liquid heat).
  10. At 24 seconds he drops to space. Then chases the receiver stride for stride for 30 yards. That was incredibly impressive! Followed directly a bury the QB sack. I know it is a highlight reel but that was a very well put together one. Never had to circle him or point out where he was just wait for the action!
  11. Yes osweiller did get it because they are stupid but it only takes one team to pay out. It seems a safe bet that another team would throw money at tyrod if he took the Bills to the playoffs.
  12. This is who I am hoping is sitting there at 19!
  13. I loved the Red color rush look. It is my favorite Bills uni. I ended up buying one and hope they wear it again!
  14. I found this article that was interesting but he didn't go into details. Also Trevathan got an entirely new knee cap after playing 3 games the year prior. I won't claim to be an expert on any of this stuff but it scares me. If we know going in that Injuries will be an issue that has to weigh heavily into the decision making process. It isn't a question of if it will effect Jack just when. Hopefully it is after a long and productive career (if he gets drafted by the Bills). It is simply a huge red flag for me and one that is big enough I don't like the idea of a trade up. If he is sitting there at 19 I wouldn't be upset. Moving up in this very deep draft at our needs would not be my favorite scenario.
  15. Did you see the money Brock Osweiller got? He did much less than Tyrod has. He also is only a year younger. I looked into this earlier in the off season after the contracts handed out to Bradford and Osweiller (who both got way overpaid imo) There are 21 qbs in the league who AVERAGE over 16 million a year. The only 2 qbs in the entire league who are on a second contract and make less than that while expected to start are Foles at 12.2 and RG3 at 7.5. Tyrod is all the way down at 1.1. Tyrod is looking at least at 16 million next year at the absolute lowest end if he performs well playoffs or not. The going rate for a qb is astronomical right now. If the Bills don't want to open the purse strings you have to believe that someone will. Drew Brees, Andrew Luck, and Kirk Cousins are all qbs who are slated to be FA next year. Kirk Cousins likely sets the Tyrod market (if Tyrod performs well next season). This year he got the franchise tag and 19.9 million. That means with the contract leap frog (great term btw) 20 million is not unexpected (if he plays well)
  16. Yup it drove me away. I used to have ESPN on all day every day. I used to leave SC on and watch highlights non stop. Then PTI came out and it was my favorite show on tv. Then ESPN decided that all of their programming would be that style. Now it is analysis and soap opera-ish. Someone mentioned upthread that Skip was an internet troll and I agree. He just says things to get ratings and unfortunately it worked.
  17. and stunk when the Bucs grabbed Daquan Bowers. It could work and it could not work. 19 wouldn't be a terrible spot for him but I would be nervous trading up for him.
  18. I absolutely won't crush him for not going to this workout. The same as I didn't say anything about Sammy not attending. To the bolded though it happens all the time. Teams strengths change from year to year. Players come and go in FA, injuries change depth, motivation can ebb and flow with some players, coaching changes, etc... Some examples from just the last 2 years in the NFL... San Francisco went from 5th in Defense in 2014 to 31st. This was due to coaching changes and retirements Detroit went from #2 defense to #18. Coaching change and lost Suh Indy went from #3 to #28 on offense. Luck went down. Packers went from #6 to #23. They lost Jordy and got a fat Eddie Lacy. 2 years is an eternity in the NFL. The Broncos won the SB this year after going 2 years prior and they 20 players left from a SB squad. They went from being an offensively focused team with a QB having a historic season to a defensive team dragging that same QB who was now a gimp.
  19. I see the dynamic play maker. I see the "jack knife." I see why people want him. I'm terrified of him being the pick. It is purely a gut thing but I think he will be injured for most of his career.
  20. I have wondered the same thing and guess I'm not the only one. His takes have been wrong pretty much non stop since the end of the year.
  21. I realized not too long ago that Mario pulled a Clowney. Clowney during his last year in college knew that he wasn't going to stay and would be a high pick. So he mailed it in for the entire year. Mario knew that no matter what his contract wouldn't allow him to stay on the team barring a pay cut. So he protected himself and dogged it. What I don't think he accounted for is how much the "quitter" label would effect his pay check. I want all of the people defending him to think about this. In a year where Olivier Vernon got 15 million for potential Mario had to settle for 8. He even floated that the first person to offer him 10 would get him and he couldn't get that. So all of us on message boards can opine for the entire off season but the league has already spoken on this issue and it doesn't reflect favorably on Mario. Failed to the tune of not having a top 10 defesne twice in the years he has been a HC including last year. Rex was always dogged for poor offensive performance. His defenses were rarely the issue. Yup. As I posted above clearly the league thinks he quit. Rex certainly erred in not pulling him off of the field. This thread is beyond my comprehension. I have seen nobody defend the job Rex did last year. EVERYONE was disappointed. To lay the poor defensive performance at his feet entirely and not account for injuries or your best player mailing it in is lazy at best. Rex has even come out and admitted that he screwed the pooch last year by not going with his system full bore at the beginning of last year. I have yet to see anyone completely exonerate Rex for the d failings last year.
  22. It is a shame what has become of e!spn. I just want highlights! I don't care who dates who, who doesn't like who, who got arrested for what, or any of the sort.
  23. I'm on record that as spectacular as he has been the injuries make me think he won't ever live up to the hype. Back to back season enders is more than enough to give me pause.
