27 yes thanks for the correction. I was looking at the field backwards. I had not thought of that but would say yes it is fair that it would fall on Miller and Henderson would use him to gauge his position. Both pictures are close but Henderson is clearly not lined up correctly. The pats* picture it is a little harder to tell.

I have been paying attention to a trend I noticed and need help figuring out how to really dive into it. I have seen the last 3 Patriots* games and an opposing starting lineman has left the game for the rest of the game in each of them. Against the Dolphins Juwaun James was knocked out, against the Giants Weston Richburg was knocked out, and last night Jon Miller was knocked out. Add in during week 2 Seantrel was taken out for concussion protocol and I am at 4 games where the Pats* have benefited from an opposing o-line getting shook up. However I can't find in game injury reports. I would like to try and look at each game to see if it is just a weird coincidence or if it has happened in more games. I have tried googling it but can only come up with injury reports. Can anyone help with injuries that occur during the games?
-
I don't know why I know this but I do. If you look at the top picture Seantrel is not lined up correctly. A part of him needs to be in line with the center. Not all of him just part of him. If you look Seantrel is too far back. In the bottom part it is close but it appears that the RT helmet is right at the backside of the centers butt. Basically you have to be able to draw a straight line and hit every player. In the bottom pic if you draw a line down the 33 yard line you will get every player touching that line. In the top picture Seantrel isn't too far off but it does appear he isn't lined up correctly.

Out of this article... But actions speak louder than words. Peters pulled himself from the game in the fourth quarter. He missed the last two games with a back injury and was a game-time decision yet again. Wow that is so out of character for Peters

I hate you guys for making me agree with WEO. Now on to my post.. A lot of you are acting like this is easy. You are acting like the refs get these calls wrong because they don't care or because they are too lazy to know the rules. These are the best of the best. You don't just get to sign up to be an NFL official. You must prove yourself starting at the High School level. I have looked into advancement with refereeing and it isn't easy. I currently ref High School soccer so get your jokes ready. That said I have looked into what it takes to move up. If any of you were to sign up to become a ref you would spend 2 years on probation before moving to "active" status. This allows you to referee varsity games. After a year or 2 of that and with a recommendation you can do college sports. You don't start d1 though you start juco/d3. From there you can move up to d1. You are looking at a 10 year minimum investment to make it to that. You are graded for every game at every level. This does very much matter. Grades are what lets you progress. Grades are your reputation. They don't just pick people that have done tons of games they pick people who have done tons of games well. You guys are acting like full time officiating is a requirement. It isn't. Football is going on for 7 months of the year. Refs attend training camp and get work in then. They also attend camps throughout the off season. This isn't a job where they do nothing all week long and show up at the stadium on Sunday ready to work. This also isn't a job you get into for the glamour and money. This is a job you do because you love the sport. Please remember these are human beings. They are not machines and can't be perfect. There are 22 players on the field. They are 7 officials. Think about that for a second. 120 yards and 22 bodies need to be watched by 14 eyes. Without the benefit of instant replay for most of their calls. As someone else said, the fact they do as well as they do is a miracle. The rule book is atrocious. To understand the rules you need to delve deep into it and learn every little ridiculous trivial rule that covers a scenario you may see once over a 25 year career. Human emotion also comes in to play. Think about how hard it is to not only see the play and make the call but then deal with 70k people yelling at you every time they think you purposely screwed them. It is a very tough job. I'm sure this won't get read by most but I had to type it out. Preemptive threads about how the refs will screw us is understandable but just wanted to offer another perspective. Lastly think about this. Bad calls go both ways. During a game you can find calls that should or should not have been made. Where the Pats* are frustrating is they seemingly capitalize on every blown call/call in their favor. That makes the calls seem worse because the end result is worse. A penalty that keeps a drive alive and results in 7 points hurts but the penalty is only part of the 7 points. Giving up the rest of the drive is on the defense/team. Now I will go puke for having to defend refs* and agreeing with WEO.

Even Simpler Math - Russel Wilson < TT
section122 replied to moshermw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I won't speak to TT other than to say I have really liked what I have seen so far. As for RW you are spot on. He was carried by an ELITE defense AND running game. He has not been a game changer. He is a game manager and is being paid as if he is elite. That has already led to dissension with Kam Chancellor and that will only increase. A perfect example is Joe Flacco, his contract, and what it has done to the Ravens. This is part of the Pats* secret to success. Brady is not paid as much as he could be and it allows them to put a better team around him. -
Edelman fractures bone in left foot, requires surgery
section122 replied to cantankerous's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chandler already spoke on this but I want to elaborate further.... This line of thinking is asinine. If the Bills won Super Bowl 25 would you have cared that they beat Hostetler? Do you think the Pats* care that they beat the Cowboys this year without Romo? Do you think the Jags care they beat EJ? At the end of the year wins are wins and losses are losses. Yesterday they discussed the last Pats* loss being against the Bills. They didn't mention that half the team was resting. Wins count the same if you beat the team at full strength or if you beat half the team. Bottom line at the end of the year you beat a team or not. So much of football is catching a team at the right time. Look at the Cardinals with Palmer and without him last year. If you played the Chiefs early in the year it was a much easier game than it is now. If you played the Cowboys before Romo's injury it was a much different game. If you got the Fins with Philbin you got an easier game than they are now. Can we put this "argument" to bed once and for all. It doesn't matter what the circumstances are if you win you win. The pats* have cheated their way to multiple super bowls. They won them and the league isn't taking them away. Winning is winning period. Injuries are part of the game and I'm sure Pats* players aren't thinking well they don't have their starting DT or S so this win doesn't count as much. Do you think the Pats* would be upset if Sammy, Tyrod, and Shady couldn't play because it is insulting to the team and organization. Man I hate this argument so much I don't even know if my point makes any sense lol. -
Add Washington and the Seahawks 3/32.

Should the Bills trade for a WR?
section122 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is no way steve smith could pass a physical to be traded. -
Good thing to think about when it comes to NE rbs. If it is a speed defense or one that excels on pressuring the qb Lewis is the play as they will throw quick passes and rely on the shiftiness to get things done. If it is a poor run d they will batter it with Blount. As for your predicament I would lean Boobie and Anderson/Hillman whoever you feel more comfortable with. I'm still rolling with CJA until something definitive comes out but won't argue Hillman has looked better to date. My buddy who is a ff aficionado as well loves Hillman this week.

NYT: Insider betting scandal in Fantasy Football
section122 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This bolded is what I have been saying from the start. Who would get a job at these companies? Probably people that love fantasy football. Now imagine if your JOB was fantasy football. All day long you got to talk about, had to know everything to keep prices correct, and didn't have to hide fantasy related discussions from your boss. It makes sense that they would place and make money. I've made money off of DK and I don't have any of those luxuries, work 2 jobs, and have an 11 month old at home. This is a drummed up story. One of these companies will become VHS and the other beta max. Or more recently HD DVD or Blu Ray. One of these companies will become Myspace and the other Facebook. Starting to make sense? Big money in this. Answers your own statement. I watch every single NFL game I can. Sure I love the game but I'm really interested in the 1,2, or 3 players I have on my various fantasy teams. If I didn't play fantasy football staying awake late on a Monday to watch the end of the game to see if the WR2 for some random team can get me the 1.6 points I need for the w. -
TNF matchup of Hasselbeck v Mallett

Houston might run the most predictable offense I have ever seen. No wonder they aren't good this year. It's either a throw to Hopkins or run up the gut by foster. -

After reading that article color me underwhelmed with the accusations. As the article states it makes sense that the employees are players. People are drawn to what they like. People who live and work fantasy football are likely better than the vast majority of fantasy players. Knowing what you are doing doesn't make you a cheater. Even with info of the most used players seems somewhat worthless. Any algorithms about touches vs cost per player can be run by anyone. This seems much ado about nothing to me. -

Not that it is completely on the up and up but your scenario doesn't work with fantasy football. Once a game starts you can see the players you are against. -
I have contact info and will be attempting to reach out tomorrow to the team. We received a donation from a Buffalo hotel so we are hopeful we can create a package with some tickets. I'm hoping for at least discounted cost. We also have reached out to the Buffalo zoo. Either way we be helping out Buffalo tourism lol. As for my mother in law things took a turn for the worse. She had a stroke over her right eye yesterday and had one over her left eye a few weeks ago. She's been pretty upbeat until this but I think the benefit and outpouring of support will help lift her spirits. Thanks everyone for any info you provided even if we can't get anything from them I appreciate the help.
-
We are doing a benefit and looking for donations to raffle at the benefit. I figured with some of our posters having contacts within the organization they would know where to send me. If it is as easy as going to the website I'm a bit embarrassed lol.
-
The point is to make money though not scare everyone away!

My wife and I are putting together a benefit for my Mother in Law. I figured people here would be a better resource than Google or being on hold forever. Does anyone know the contact at the Bills for something like this? Thanks in advance!

I don't know if this is terrible or not but I have no interest in bills store credit lol. What can $25 even buy me? I am willing to bet though. If we did bet Bills store credit how would the transaction work? Feel free to pm if you would like. -

Guys here is what happened... The Bills jumped out on the Colts so there was no need to dive deep into the playbook. Rex stated that the gameplan for the Pats* has been in place for a while. Rex didn't want to give too much away when the win was in the bag. Book this: Sammy will have over 100 yards and at least 1 td against the Pats*. He will be a focal point of the passing game. Yes I am willing to make a friendly wager on this. Name your terms. -
Me too and that is what I was driving at. I root for the Bills no matter who is on the team or on the field. That said I would have had to do some serious convincing of myself not only of the player but the coaching staff as well if Cassel was selected the starter. I would have figured out a way to billieve come Sunday but I'm glad it didn't come to that. Most of the most ardent supporters have already chimed into the thread to comment. It hasn't yet. Now the first mistake TT makes let's hope it doesn't go there! Busted! Would you like some Campbell's Chunky Soup?
