  1. I don't mean for show as in spectacle I mean for show as in have to show they are doing something about it. If these players had cooperated we wouldn't have heard much other than they were cleared just like we did with Manning. There are people on this board that didn't even realize Manning had been cleared. The league likely just wants to close the book on this but has to do some sort of due diligence.
  2. Exactly. An accusation was made now they just need to clear their names. I would imagine this is a for show investigation as it includes a lot of top names. Just comply, have a lawyer present, and be done with it.
  3. I would go so far as say sit down and even if you did it say you didn't lol. I don't think the NFL has any evidence or else these guys would have already been suspended. They are certainly misguided here. The NFLPA should encourage these guys to sit down and get it over with.
  4. Me too but I have been nervous to say it out loud lol. The last time I thought positive thoughts EJ had just performed well in the Cleveland game. I was in the middle of saying wow he might be the answer when he took that cheap shot. The Bills are doing exactly what I think is the best case for qbs. Entrenched starter, vet back up, developmental high ceiling rookie. I was very "under the influence" but apparently the other night I told a buddy that we have a young Tom Brady on our team (late round pick, benched in college for a worse player despite performing) and a young Aaron Rodgers (backup to a firmly entrenched starter for 4 years before getting a chance to be the man). I guess I was drinking a lot of kool aid that night too lol
  5. I agree with this. I might have blinders on for the guy but he is a perfectly capable backup qb in this league. If guys like Chad Henne can stick for as long as they have I don't see any reason EJ can't.
  6. Yes and he was subsequently cleared "The NFL has determined that Peyton Manning did not use human growth hormone or any other performance-enhancing drug banned under the league's policy. The league announced its decision in a statement released Monday, saying it "found no credible evidence" of allegations in an Al-Jazeera America report that Manning's wife received deliveries of HGH in 2011. Before making its final determination, the NFL interviewed Manning and his wife, Ashley, who were "fully cooperative with the investigation," according to the league. The NFL also received medical records pertinent to the case and, after reviewing them and the interviews, determined there wasn't any evidence that any violation had occurred." It was an article based on secretly recorded info that was later recanted. This will all easily go away all the players have to do is sit down and cooperate. Manning has been cleared and the witness recanted. These interviews won't take long as I would imagine this is more about the NFL showing it looked into it rather than prosecuting it. That's why I had to give him credit. He had a rough off season! The NFL didn't quit pursuing it. He supplied medical records, interviewed, and his wife interviewed. They cleared him after he cooperated. If it was a back room deal we have to strap our tin foil hats on before we discuss it.
  7. Boyst had a good take on this. If you have a workplace allegation of breaking the rules an investigation must take place. That is what is happening here. The NFL wants to interview them. The NFL is their employer. Sure they can refuse but then it is up to their employer how to handle it. Much the same as you would be suspended until you complied if not terminated for refusing to comply. The players should go interview. The NFL has already cleared Manning so any lawyer worth a salt can question the validity of the report based on that. Go answer a few questions and be done with it.
  8. No just afc west. That's why I put it in 2014 but didn't want to keep repeating myself.
  9. Last year no teams came 2014 from the afc west both SD and KC 2013 KC 2012 beat KC lost to the Rams (Seattle was in Toronto so I'm not counting it) They are 1-4 over their last 5. Not good for the supposed west coast to east coast 1pm advantage. This is a game that I have to stretch hard to come up with a Bills win. Arizona was last year and will be again this year my favorite to make the SB from the NFC.
  10. Tasker was brutal last night. Here is a quick list of misses on his part and I'm sure I'm forgetting some. 1. Called duke Williams a CB 2. Called striker and another player for making a tackle against the bills. 3. Said Kevon Seymour was an undated steal. 4. Kept calling nickel robey Nicole There were certainly more. I remarked to my family that I probably wouldn't mind as much if he wasn't an ex-bill but he was cringe worthy throughout the broadcast.
  11. I have been saying all offseason that Sanborn was terrible last year. I think Carp's problems can be atrributed somewhat to him as well as my memory of several off the mark snaps to Schmidt. Good to hear that there may be a replacement for him or at least competition.
  12. The Matrix did a pretty good job with these. Not quite what you are talking about but the had the animatrix that explained more of the story as well as a few video games that added to the story and had live action cut scenes.
  13. Yeah they have really revitalized that section. There is a ton of live music played there throughout the week. There are a couple of places right next door that also put on music. It would have been a lot better if they could have built the planned theater there as well but a lawyer decided to raise a stink and get the project shut down. Beer is good from there. They always have a few different choices. The food tries a little to hard to be high end for me. If it is a pub I want pub food. That said the poutine there is really good. Especially after a few...
  14. If they would take next year's first I absolutely would make this trade. For those that hate Rex and think he is terrible is he 3rd pick in the draft terrible? I don't think so.
  15. That is your answer. Like I said I can see both sides of it. Jeter made 265 million in his playing career. 150 million dollars is a huge amount of money. A Rod was never loved as a Yankee. He couldn't hold a candle to Jeter's popularity. Jeter actually had the charisma that A Rod pretended to.
  16. I'm surprised by the amount of men that care what other guys are wearing.
  17. That's why I said they traded their reputation for money. Their pride led them to try and get ahead. Do you think arod gets that huge contract from the Yankees if he doesn't have a shot at the HR record? He made a lot more money than he would have staying clean imo. Put it this way - it stings a lot less that people think you are a fraud when you have half a billion dollars.
  18. You just named a whos who of hated baseball figures lol. Your argument doesn't work well when they are all reviled as much as A-Rod. You might as well have added Clemens to your list... On a side note here is a discussion: Would you do what A Rod did? Long and short of it is he traded being thought of as a great player for a ton of money and a reputation as a cheater. To me I wouldn't mind people dragging my name through the mud for a career earnings of 416 million dollars.
  19. Hometown represent! Prison City Pub & Brewery IPA ranked No. 1 in America The field of 247 beers from across the country featured heavyweights like Firestone Walker and Sierra Nevada, as well as critical darlings like Maine Beer Co. and Grimm Artisanal Ales. And beating them all to come in at No. 1 was Auburn's own Prison City Pub & Brewery. Brewer Ben Maeso's Mass Riot IPA, which was available at the 28 State St. brewpub earlier this summer, racked up surprised raves from the Paste judges.
  20. 26cb thanks for all of this. I really appreciate it! That said what's up with Rodak's clickbait tweets?
  21. I am very happy with this move. The attitude he brought in 2014 was sorely missed in 2015.
  22. HR guy here so I side with the employer in most cases. I can't here though. Bosa is asking for nothing special. He is asking for exactly what other people in his position have been given. This is a bad look for the Chargers and I fell that the effects could be far reaching. This will have a negative effect on FA signings, draft pick negotiations in the future, and possibly the vote for a new stadium. Bosa has a year of earning to lose but to escape SD it may be worth it. If he re-enters the draft next year he likely is still a top 20 pick. I may be mistaken but Bosa has offered this. He will concede on either one but not both. The team refuses to budge on either.
  23. Hammer, Is there a possibility of leaving our car overnight for this game? We are working out logistics of getting to and from the game. If we drive to the game we thought of grabbing a cab home but only if we can leave the car somewhere and not worry about getting towed or ticketed.
  24. I don't disagree but my question is more about your stance that Mario should have been benched last year when IK would have been his replacement. What was Rex supposed to do last year if IK shouldn't be playing?
  25. So what was Rex supposed to do last year then when Mario was giving half effort? I agree that IK isn't very good but he was the other option last year in place of Mario. So either Rex gets bashed for playing IK or for playing Mario. As for veteran fill ins there isn't anyone out there that inspires confidence (not surprising at this stage of the game). All I could find was Greg Hardy, Kroy Biermann, Mike Neal, Daryyl Tapp, Jeremy Mincey, etc...
