bingo. If we lost our #1 WR and RB most would be explaining away all manners of losses. Instead, the Texans go and beat a very good team (that had its #1 WR, RB, and a great D.

Stroud is playing better than any QB in the NFL right now. Their offensive plays are well drawn up.

until the playoffs. Add Detroit to surprising teams playing MUCH better than us. Heck, Minnesota lost its starting QB, got aggressive after Dobbs, likely also playing better than us.

Should Dorsey come down to the sidelines?
RyanC883 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
plus, as another poster noted, more conversations with JA and the other offensive players. -
I'm okay with 4-5 going to Knox if Kincaids overall targets go up. Knox is a better blocking, short yard TE and Kincaid should be used more as a big slot.

Could Josh McDaniels get our Offense in Gear?

no thanks. Although if we don't can McD and get Ben Johnson, not sure who we get as OC. Anyone have suggestions? -
Potential to Explore Josh Allen (QB) trades
RyanC883 replied to VaMilBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the stagnation or regression with Allen, and Allen locking onto targets or not doing as well in the pocket is attributable to having an OC and HC who: (1) don't know how to use JA appropriately (up-tempo); and (2) have no clue how to teach him to be a more effective pocket passer. I think you redo the coaching staff, hire Ben Johnson, have JA go to the QB clinic he went to in prior offseason, and you'll see a massive improvement. Also, having another WR to throw to. -
Potential to Explore Josh Allen (QB) trades
RyanC883 replied to VaMilBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Calm down teefy! it's a message board to discuss ideas. He's not saying JA sucks, quite the opposite, he's saying trade when value is there. Other teams have done this. Houston just totally turned around its offense. Eagles got rid of a QB combo that won them a SB. -
we will NEED to hit on drafting a center (Rd2?) in next draft. Also need a WR 1 (to pair with Diggs and eventually replace him.
-
creates 20 million in cap room pre re-signing people like Floyd, etc. Also, forgot to trade Knox, which creates some additional cap.

is the Bills putting this on their own channel a veiled shot at Dorsey/McD to get it together? I hope so.

Stuck in the mud = Coaching & Lack of Talent
RyanC883 replied to PepeSilvia's topic in The Stadium Wall
it's a combo. Bean has missed on numerous high round picks. The Groot/Basham duo are particularly glaring. Ignoring WR2 and the continual "hope" that a player improves is nonsensical. That said, McD can't coach himself out of a paper bag on game day against good teams. The defensive timeouts, the lack of knowledge as to why the offense stops going up tempo (note to McD: you are the HC!), have held the team back more than the lack of talent. Even with this current team, we should have beat the Jets, Jags, and Cincy with better offensive playcalling--it's on both Dorsey and McD at this point.- 38 replies

Regression in season ending and manner of play are what’s worrisome. I suppose you are fine with regression and continuing poor offensive play, and not winning a SB.
-
it's like the FO and coaching staff hitting the fans in the head.
-
Dane had the highest CB PFF grade for our defense in the Cincy game (#5 overall for D), for whatever that is worth. Miller was 2nd to last. https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2023/11/grading-the-buffalo-bills-in-week-9-how-bad-is-the-damage-after-loss-to-bengals.html

I have. I'd still go for it. Or just punt a touchback. Depends on where we are. Can't give teams like Cincy or other good offenses short fields, esp. with the current state of the D. Would rather be able to get out of our own end and then give a touchback on a punt.

kind of my fear, limping into playoffs with wins against bad teams (Broncos/Jets) and then you have the issue of McD hanging around for another season, and ridiculous fans buying ridiculous priced tickets in the new stadium. 90's Dolphins.
-
a tendency that a QB coach or OC should be able to get out of him. But nope, not here. Just clapp along with the HC.
-
When did he build a "top team." A team that made 1 AFC Championship game and then regressed tremendously. You don't keep that coach around. McD LUCKED into the playoffs with Tyrod. And then did what: lost. Losing playoff games is not getting it done. We do not have a top 5 coach. who would be your picks from that list. Mine would be the Johnsons.
-
OC Johnson from Det. OC Johnson from PHL. OC Kellen Moore Chargers. OC Bienemy Commanders. why? The trend is downward. Why give him another shot. He is wasting JA. He's proven he can't get it done.
-
13 seconds: bad season. Last season: bad ending. This season: even worse. See a trend: regression!

won't be so sure about that. Will be awful hard to sell tickets to a new stadium with early playoff exits when you have Allen. Unless we are a fanbase of morons who accept mediocrity.

Let’s hope this is their Tampa Bay 2021 game.
RyanC883 replied to Rocbillsfan1's topic in The Stadium Wall
the up-tempo offense worked in the first drive. Then we abandoned it. Then we brought it back. It had a different feel than the Tampa game when we finally figured out the offense. That said, if we finally go up-tempo all game, we should put up 30+ and that should be enough to win most games. -
fire McD chant is the most appropriate. Does not matter who the OC is as long as McD is in charge.
