I think cap considerations kill any trade unless he redoes his contract first. I could be wrong. But if we could get a Bears 1st, plus a WR, and draft Harrison Jr. that'd work for me. Then turn cap savings into a FA safety, extending Floyd, etc. (I know we need OL help, but that's gen too expensive in FA. I'd draft a C/G later in the first.)

here, how about this. Sorry, he is a meddler. The sliding is different than “don’t run.” https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/sean-mcdermott-buffalo-bills-ken-dorsey/
-
so JA just strangely stopped running so much this year after McD said it would be an emphasis, including when he could get a 1st down and slide. The narrative persists because it’s likely true.
-
I generally like aggressive D, but given that payton and wilson are smart and adaptable, I would have shown blitz, then dropped back.
-
a funny response, "the issue with you, Sal, is that you "work for the Bills and are on the field for the games," yet still can't figure out the problems.
-
Agreed, but he has a decent amount of talent here, just poorly utilized. He got 4 HC interviews, and one of the teams said they nearly hired him. For whatever that's worth. A good experiment for the rest of the season to see if Brady can do it. If he can't, is it because McD keeps meddling in the offense? If he can, we may have our issues solved--perhaps.
-
Ben Johnson as HC Perhaps keep Brady as OC (dude is young, can learn from Johnson) Babbich as DC
-
agreed. But I think the OP is asking if there is a HC (or perhaps former HC) worth going after? I'd also look at Eric B from Washington, and the OC of Houston, and Kellen Moore from the Chargers (not his fault they don't have a D).
-
also need to bring back FLoyd on DL. hopefully McD is gone. If we bring in an offensive minded OC (Johnson from Det) he may keep Brady as OC perhaps, or bring someone from Det. I'd like to see Babbich as DC, barring that, there is likely another McD out there (bad head coach, good DC) we could poach. If McD stays, he MUST relinquish DC responsibilities.

Does Anyone Miss Daboll and Frazier?
RyanC883 replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
don't really miss either of them. Frazier's D was worse than McDs D, and Daboll could not establish any sort of running game to save his life, yes, I liked the more up-tempo offense of Daboll, but you look at the Giants and it's not great over there. Daboll better than Dorsey. Yes. Good enough: no. -
it works in other cities, but is there the corporate base with the corporate seats, and the corporate employees to support it in Buffalo?
-
agreed. Not paying to take my 2 kids up to games from PGH, even this year. Way too expensive, and the offense is awful, the product is awful. Add tickets, meals, hotels, just not worth it. I'd rather take them to a Cuse lax game/Bball game and a Bandits lax game later.

This mock draft is awful (for the Bills), but indicates that we will need to either be in the top 15, or trade there, to get a stud WR. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2024-nfl-mock-draft-caleb-williams-should-go-no-1-no-guarantee-he-will-stacked-wr-class-as-8-go-in-round-1/ here is an article on the WRs available and likely to go in the 1st, including those after 15--also nonsense they don't have one to Buffalo: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/2024-nfl-mock-draft-record-breaking-wr-class-dominates-1st-round/ar-AA1jUZkE Enjoy. Who all do you want?

I have no idea. If he finds "it" from his LSU days, cool. If not, then McD will be gone, and we can start over with a better coaching staff.

Cold Hard Truths The Season Has Given Us As Bills Fans
RyanC883 replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
eh, more like Brett Farve perhaps. With a better staff around him, hopefully he finishes with 2 SB wins like Elway. -
right now, nope. Post season, yes. Johnson (Det); Bieniemy (Wash); Slowick (Hous); Kellen Moore (Chargers)
-
continue on "the process" to early playoff exits. This stuff gets college coaches fired, NFL coaches seem to skate on it.
-
Will Brady be in the booth now? Who will be on the sidelines with JA?
-
oh, I totally agree it possibly buys McD another. I disagree that it should/will. But it's totally possible, particularly with this conservative FO. I hope you are wrong

Should The Strength and Conditioning Coaches Get Fired?
RyanC883 replied to OutOfBubbleGum's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would. Lots of the injuries are the muscle/tendon type that you can, to some extent, prevent with proper warmups, stretching, and recovery. -
I disagree. If team is still bad, points only to McD.
-
really, a move that should have happened weeks ago. Eeeking out past the Giants, etc. is not going to cut it. Now we are outside looking in on a playoff spot. The mediocracy that surrounds the FO is stunning.

I won't believe this until I see it online somewhere besides X. (which i can't access at work!)
