  1. wow. also, who was Mahomes screaming at??
  2. Dunne's article even mentions that his news organization cannot access the Bills and/or is not given press passes to cover the Bills. He clearly has an axe. That said, does not mean he is wrong. There are reporters like this in most cities, but you don't see articles like this about Tomlin, etc. Also interesting: McD was nowhere on the Athletic survey of coach's players (on other teams, you couldn't pick your own coach) would like to play for. If McD stays, he needs a emotional intelligence and engagement coach. His engagement style/self-awareness is lacking. I get the risk-aversion. But I can't imagine any other coach in the NFL who would have this team at 6-6 right now. I think finding that coach would be more difficult than finding another McD: one who gets you to the playoffs but can't win close games, etc. Even then, it would be hard to find one who does not learn from past mistakes and routinely has late game collapses.
  3. or, you can be like San Diego or Miami in the 90’s and ruin great QBs careers with a subpar coach. McD would go, at best, squeak into the playoffs every year. McD has had time to figure it out. He continues to blow late leads, waste timeouts, and make other bad in game decisions.
  4. I think our offense will give KC enough of a challenge, and KC won't be able to put up enough points to hang. Will be interesting to see who covers Kelce and Rice. I expect somewhat of a high scoring game, but I think we win by 7+.
  5. McD is incapable of learning from the past. But, you know, hindsight is 20/20.
  6. yep. 50’s and lightening here
  7. Ertz now rumored to Bills (and 2 other teams)!!!! https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/zach-ertz-clears-waivers-making-him-free-to-sign-with-any-team/ar-AA1kRBNA
  8. yep. And if we get stuck with McD, I hope Bean is smart enough to realize it does not matter what D McD has, he will ruin it, so might as well have an offense that scores so many points that the D will rarely need a last minute stop.
  9. there aren’t replacements because if poor drafting. I don’t trust Bean with high D picks.
  10. might be the Lombardi's that Tomlin has, and the lack of late game meltdowns. there is also a case for Tomlin being fired, many Steeler fans are sick of making the playoffs and losing. (haven't won a playoff game since 2017). He is managing a great season this year with a "game manager" at QB. Agreed. But the big picture is that McD has proven to be a coach who does not learn from past mistakes, blames others, and continues to meltdown in big moments year over year. Not sure why people expect that to change. What got the Bills here won't get them to where they want to go. sure is what it seems like. or Pegs is sick and enjoys losing close games that we should have won ?
  11. we can't get rid of McD. We must remember, the "process" is more important than the "goal" of winning a SB.
  12. likely Miami, unless WE GET HIM FIRST. McD is actually blowing games late to land Ertz. Master plan. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/dolphins-could-block-two-super-bowl-contenders-from-a-potential-impact-veteran/ar-AA1kNLnt?ocid=entnewsntp&cvid=14095c9ab1f040fcb4e8c5fdd9d88601&ei=11
  13. are you saying you hold yourself to mediocracy? I mean, no issues if you do, but that's what the Bills have become. McD is the only coach to choke in this many close games.
  14. interesting. if they are paid on how long it runs, does Diggs have a claim against Miller. (likely were paid upfront regardless of use).
  15. perhaps a cap person can weigh in here: if he has a morality clause, and we void the contract, does that void dead money, etc? Or is it like cutting him without having to pay him the guaranteed money?
  16. Thanks. I do enjoy life, and sports. Hope you do too.
  17. The fans who love mediocracy have grown tiresome, as tiresome as an McD excuse.
  18. missing the playoffs should be cause for his termination, and I agree, missing the AFCCG should be cause. Everything else is backsliding from where we were in 2020-21. And McD's inability to improve, and those BS excuses, really, he should have been fired on Monday for killing the clock with 20 seconds left. how many of them had Allen? If McD coached the teams those guys had, we'd be lucky to sniff the playoffs.
  19. only reason he would do this is to have a scapegoat for next season meltdowns.
  20. good point, but then need a backup for Bates.
  21. this is a list of "big" wins in mediocre moments. Nothing was "on the line" in most of these games, and divisional playoff win against the depleted Pats, really? The Colts game we nearly gave away before Rivers made mistakes.
  22. I agree with this, but put the 8 DL in there, with 3 DBs ready to defend the pass. If Hurts attempts a pass, he's not going to have long to do it with the line collapsing around him.
  23. this is not a bad plan, but I would have canned McD on Monday. Meet with the players and thank then for their hard work, and let them know we will be letting them, not the coaches, dictate the outcome of the game. Let them know that I will be doing everything I can to put them in a position for success, and not being scared of them making mistakes by refusing to play to the end of regulation, and burning TOs prior. I then make Brady the interim HC/OC, and Babbich (who Milano has called the best coach he's had) the DC. Let's see if they turn this around. If not, new HC at end of year. I keep Bean for the reasons the OP mentioned. at least Tomlin and Ben won a SB by now in their tenure. Plus, they likely would have won 3 at least if not for the cheating Pats.
