Cover 1: AJ Epenesa Rookie year transformation
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree he did. This is a big year for him. offseason program should help. -
good points. I’m still not sold on Edmunds long term as a big money guy. Seems slightly above replacement level that some team overpays for

[Vague Title] Is this it with cuts/restructures?
RyanC883 replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
would help us get a quality DT in FA, or Edge and draft a DT -
Looks like John Brown was released
RyanC883 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
would also hate to see williams go. but a quality Ot will be available at 30. might make more sense for Ford, rookie to battle and play ford at guard perhaps, while using FA money on an edge. -
something we can and should also conceivably do to keep Williams at OT? And FA Edge signing? And even Feliciano, perhpas Milano. Less holes to fill/rookies to rely on the better. good points. Depends on how much Buffalo will need with the Allen extension, conceivably it could be loaded in a manner where the cap hit is at the end? Kicking the can on good players makes sense because the cap always (barring global pandemic) goes up.

Mitch Morse Re-Works Contract per Ian Rapoport

would love the Oklahoma Center in the 2nd. Great backup option. -
Spotrac: freeing up cap space for Bills
RyanC883 replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
good point. would rather trade him. Any pick is better than straight up releasing. I think the cap constraints just make it so hard this year. Although perhaps we could get something from PIT since Pouncy retired? skill wise I think you keep Morse, but you would clearly need to draft a solid strong guard who can also play center given Morse injury history. -
or Levi from Washington also projected about 30. I also think Bean has a history of not having official visits with top picks? The WR group after Moore is underwhelming, IMO. no Steewart, Cox at Lb? in that case I amend my WR comment. But would like to see the kid from Iowa and Ill on there also for speed.

Jerry Hughes restructuring? Rumor...
RyanC883 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
likely wants to restructure to hell the cap and get another DL FA in here that can help. Tomlinson??!! Lawson?? -
Micah Hyde signed to 2 yr extension - Schefter
RyanC883 replied to Tortured Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well, “essentially the same” can mean a lot of things. -
Marc Sessler "one fit for each afc team"
RyanC883 replied to the_D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah, and the draft class is pretty deep. That said, if they did break the bank on a Guard, he'd be a good one to do it on. Only really makes sense though if Morse is gone, Feliciano is Center. But, we do need an upgrade at Guard, IMO. Run blocking was terrible this year. It could come from the draft, or FA, but needs to come from somewhere, and counting on Ford is a mistake. -
Free agent visit Alert!- P Michael Palardy

If he's cheaper than Bojo, seems like a good tradeoff. -
What About Watson for Jag's No. 1 Pick?
RyanC883 replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure this is laughable at all. Jax has some decent WR's, and if the #1 is all it takes, then yeah, I do it in an instant if I'm Jax. A proven Watson over a questionmark. Watson every time. I'd even trade next years #1 as well. -
Cynthia Frelund's Analytics Based Mock Draft
RyanC883 replied to Boxcar's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for sharing. Some of the analytical information is useful in learning about prospects. I like the player mocked to us, although I'd go Harris or Etitine there. On the other hand, this comment about a prospect is just useless: "From a pure speed standpoint, on plays where he was not touched, Oweh had the fastest burst among edge rushers in the FBS last season, as measured by the time it took him to travel 5 yards from the line of scrimmage." On plays where he was not touched? Um, what happened when he was touched? -

well, I don't think Bienemy calls plays>? -
Free Agents We Should Be Looking At
RyanC883 replied to wagne591's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he might be able to, but I agree, we can't count on it. If he shows up and balls out, then it's a bonus. -
Today's draft with explanations. Let me know your thoughts. Used DraftNetwork, no trades. 30. Buffalo Bills Micah Parsons LB, Penn State (thought I was on Fanspeak for a while with the seeming unreasonableness of him making it to 30. In fact, lots of LB's were still here (the ND one and Missouri one as well). Parsons seems to be the all-around package. Slight concern that he sat out 2020. 61. Buffalo Bills Creed Humphrey IOL, Oklahoma (awesome interior line presence for Buffalo. I believe he has not let up a sack in 3 years at Oklahoma) 93. Buffalo Bills Tyler Shelvin IDL, LSU (more trench building. This time with a fantastic 1T prospect) 162. Buffalo Bills Javian Hawkins RB, Louisville (we need a speed RB. speed RB here!) 175. Buffalo Bills Deommodore Lenoir CB, Oregon (CB that can apparently provide great pass coverage and run defense. Good depth addition to an important position) 214. Buffalo Bills Ihmir Smith-Marsette WR, Iowa (Guy is rumored to be the "steal of the draft," so I'm not sure he will last this long. That said, he did. He's quick, and adds more speed to the offense) 230. Buffalo Bills Landon Young OT, Kentucky (the guy is supposed to be a fantastic run blocker, but has limited experience pass blocking. I'll take that here. We coach him up. Good depth) Overall, this should help the run D, improve the interior OL, pass rush (Parsons), provide additional offensive speed, and add depth at some key positions.

So do a Diggs type deal this year for a DE?
RyanC883 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree we need a better pass rush, but you also have to stop the run game. You simply cannot get gashed there or we will get beaten like we did against KC and Tenn this year. you can't be a total sieve. That said, I think we can draft some 1T's to help in run stopping. And developmental Edge players who can contain and eventually pass rush, while spending FA money on impact pass rushers. Bonus: there are 1T's that generate pass-rush pressure. -

totally agree. You need the complete package to win it all. Our 90's D's got LIT UP in Super Bowls due to the "bend and don't break." That only works so long. You need ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK, D to win.
