  1. I've said it before - Bills should be scouting college basketball players with HS football experience. There are lots of very athletic B ballers that are 6'5"/250. Would certainly not hurt to bring in a couple of free agents after the draft.
  2. For the past 50 years, I have paid over $100k in school property taxes - and have never used a public school. I have paid for libraries & public parks and have used them only rarely. Never have I griped, complained or whined about my taxes for these items. If my taxes must go up a little to pay for a stadium, I will cheer. At last, my taxes will go to something that I will use & enjoy. Yes, there will be some jobs created by building a new stadium. More importantly, the whole Buffalo psych would take a hit if we don't. We give businesses money all the time in the form of tax loopholes & tax break /forgiveness schemes. It is time & the Governor seems to be on board. When we built the present stadium 40+ years ago, does anyone remember their taxes - either state or local - going up noticeably ? Just do it, pay for it, & get it done, so my kids can enjoy it for the next 40 years just like I did for the past 40+ years. Thanks for listening.
  3. I live in Ft. Myers for the winter. I can tell you that David Moulton is a very respected writer. It's good to see media people from other than Bflo start griping about NFL greed etc.. It can't hurt.
  4. I think it would be nice to move the draft site around each year. It would be good for the local economies.
  5. It is not going to break the bank to sign CJ. The market for RB's seems to lessen every year where now the good ones are being signed in the 3M to 4M area.
  6. Toronto has about 4M people. WNY has about 1M people. Toronto would put 70,000 people in the stands every Sunday. Bflo would put 70,000 fans in the stadium every Sunday. So, what is the big advantage for Toronto ? Oh yeah - TV eyes. Or is it a big advantage? My friends in Toronto tell me that they watch the Bills on Channels 4 & 29 from Bflo. These stations are on their cable system. So, they are watching the same commercials for beer & razor blades that we Buffalonians watch. So, if they are watching our TV stations, the question I have is - why isn't Toronto considered part of our TV area. If the networks and/or the NFL considered Toronto part of our viewing area, we would jump from a small market viewing area to one of the largest. I'm sure that I am missing something here. Help wanted for an explanation. Thanks.
  7. If you want to trade down, then pick up Donald. He reminds me of Watts.
  8. The Bills should be looking for basketball players who have HS football experience. There are a lot of very good athletes that go around 6'4/250. They can be had as free agents or 7th rounders.
  9. I agree with everything you posted. However, there was no mention of the most important attribute (in my opinion ) of a QB -- confidence. EJ doesn't seem to have it. He is a little fearful of throwing into coverage & letting his receiver work for the ball. He will not get to be a playoff QB until he uses his skill set confidently. His arm strength is average to above average; his accuracy is below average to average; & his confidence is below average. I think that he will improve but I would like to see him acquire a little cockiness. Of course that will come with success. Hopefully, if we surround him with talent, there will be some success. We shall see Having said that, I still think that the Bills should trade down so they have 5 picks in the first 4 rounds. They then can afford to go for a QB in one of the later rounds. If EJ can't handle a little competition, well that would be telling I suppose.
  10. Wasn't it TJ that dropped Tuel's pass in the Cleveland game ?
  11. As I mentioned in a previous thread, a trade down would give us an extra 2nd. Thus enabling us to use this extra pick for a QB. Without the trade down, I don't think they will go QB early.
  12. I see the Bills drafting OL,WR. & TE not necessarily in that order. I think that they would also like to get a RB earlier than the 5th Round. The best way to do all this is by trading down. They can get their RB in the 3rd then. In the 4th they can take a shot at a QB or a PON.
  13. Trade down - get an extra 2nd & then pick a QB in the 3rd.
  14. A trade down would give us 4 picks instead of 3 in the 1st 3 rounds. We then could take a just in case QB for only a small cost.
  15. They're fun to think about. What else is there for Bills fans at this time of year ?
  16. I am not a TJ Graham lover But -- how many times did he beat the CB deep & was over thrown, under thrown, or not seen by our QB ?
  17. Outside of watching your own team, the hook to watch the rest of the games is gambling & Fantasy Football.
  18. I liked Levitre, but you must agree that he was playing with Fitz,. The one thing that Fitz did well was to get rid of the damn ball. Our QB last year was hesitant, thus the hurries & sacks.Having said that, we still need a couple of offensive lineman.
  19. Donald is a better football player than Clowney, despite Clowney's obvious measurables.
  20. Not only will he not drop out of the 1st round, in my humble opinion, he will go #1 overall. He will be a good to very good QB immediately. Who knows, after that. His pocket awareness, athletic ability, will make us wish that we had him rather than EJ (who can still be a good QB ).
  21. The only game I saw Donald play was the Syracuse game. He dominated. He is a low risk pick.
  22. Outshine ??Perhaps, Gronk & Graham playing with Brady & Brees has something to do with it.
