OK, first thing Stevie needs to learn is a little theology lesson, I hope one of those Bills Chaplains sit him down soon, very soon. My seven years of Seminary has taught me many things, and one is, God doesn't drop passes. Well, I hope he grows from this, in many ways.

Because for some equally unexplanable reason, the Steelers stopped trying to run it down our throats in the 2nd half; however, they did return to in OT. Bottomline, we just can't stop it. With some serious help on the D-line and at the Linebacker position, this team can contend. Put up the "Help Wanted - Defensive players" sign the night free-agency opens and on draft day.

Was that Arron Maybin I saw on the field today? I think he even helped create a holding penalty on the Steelers .... is there hope?

I think all of us would like to see tight ends that make pass catches. However, one thing that should be pointed out that the TEs in the Bills offense are called upon to block, and block quite a bit. Note, there has been better pass and run blocking in the resurgence of the past 4-5 weeks, and a huge part of that is the fact the TE are first blockers, pass-catchers second. That being said, it would be nice to see them more involved in the offence. And like a few have already said, I agree that Nelson is more than capable, but he missed significant game, and even more significant, practice time. I do think he is the long-term answer, and Stupar is an adequate back-up; thus, in my opinion, there is no need to waste a draft pick on a tight end. The Bills have far more pressing needs.

High QB picks are a huge crap-shoot--we have an adequate one now, maybe better than adequate. The Bills are not team in a position to have another miss or project at #1. It seems obvious the biggest needs on this team are on defense. At this point, I believe we should be leaning towards the best of any of the front seven positiona: Line or Linebacker. Get a great athlete up front, any position, and you help improve this team. Thereafter, keep drafting the best fits for the D. If a top tier OL becomes available, get him, if not, stick with the D, period!

Doubtful anyone would trade for him, but if there are takers in the off-season, sure, get value for him while you still can. We seem to be pretty deep with DB's .

He's a winner ... which cannot be overlooked (see people with all the tools but have never been in winning programs: Losmen, Edwards, etc.).... he reminds me so much of Chad Pennington. I think, like Chad, he'll be a servicable NFL QB, never great, but capable. Good mid to late round option.

More realistic option, trade for Kolb!

Hmmmm, will Gaither be available this year? I know he's been injured, but if healthy (big if) he certainly would upgrade our line, right or left tackle--with Bell the opposite side. I don't think help will come through the draft, there are no stud tackles this year.

OK Mrs Devlin, let it go. I get it that Flacco did this, and Devlin's put up good numbers, but come on, he couldn't start at Penn State, not exactly Quarterback U! Moreover, he doesn't have the size or arm of an NFL QB. At best, he's destined to be a free agent signing, and will be a practice squad player for some team next year.

Fred Jackson has been jerked around this year, but I think he is still the best all-around football player the team has. And you have to love his attitude, nothing but class!

When you're 0-7, is clock management really an issue? Go for the homerun, at this point you have nothing more to lose, or for that matter, gain--you're playing for draft positioning now.

Wasn't it blocked ? .... how is that his fault? But I will say this, why not try the long field goal with 2 minutes to go, he has shown the leg for that distance (and, it's in a dome), even if he doesn't make it, the ball is pretty much the same place as the failed fourth down attempt.

Bills need lineman first (either side of the ball), Fig Newton would be a reasonable 2nd round consideration - provided Fitz plays out the season well.

Agreed! It really couldn't be any worse, at least these guys have the speed to run down their mistakes.

From the Philadelphia Daily News this morning, lamenting the poor trades and free agent signing of the Eagles: "Left tackle Jason Peters hardly has proven to be worth the millions the Eagles threw at him last year when they acquired him from the Bills. Maybe that will change. Maybe he'll come back from his recent knee clean-out and be the player the Eagles hoped he would be. But considering his questionable work ethic and motor, I seriously doubt it."
