  1. Listening to his interview with the media now on WGR. Wow. Very articulate and sounds pumped. He's mentioned guys on the team by name like Trent Murpy, said "we traded up for a franchise QB so that piece is in place", said that comparisons of himself to Kyle Williams are unfounded because he could never compare himself to a player like Kyle who will have a "special history in the game". Looking forward to Kyle taking him under his wing. The kid is knowledgeable, excited, and humble. Fantastic get if it all translates on the field.
  2. It's good to be Tremaine Edmunds' nose, just ask these guys... And Tremaine has endorsement opps...
  3. I'm sure that of the 'Big Four' (Darnold, Mayfield, Rosen, & Allen), Allen wouldn't have been the first choice of "most" Bills fans...but whether the Bills had chosen Allen or any of the other three, there would have been a segment of the fan base that was going to be pissed at the selection regardless. That's the nature of today's hot take interwebs. I, for one, admit to being crestfallen when they chose Allen over Rosen but I quickly moved on and hope that the organization got the right guy. As fans, that's all we can do whether or not we agree with the team's choices. Go Josh Allen and GO BILLS!!!
  4. Ha! No kidding, I just went back and listened again. He may have actually been saying that he'd be "shocked" if the Giants took a QB. Trying to work with this on in the background.
  5. FWIW (probably not much), Phil Simms is saying right now on 'One Bills Live' that he will be "SHOCKED" if the Giants trade out of #2.
  6. Please stop throwing sunshine on this rainy parade.
  7. The 'London Jagoffs' has a nice ring to it...
  8. We'll see, Benjamin. You may not be all that bright...
  9. 1. Sam Darnold - Cleveland Browns 2. Josh Rosen - Buffalo Bills 3. Josh Allen - Denver Broncos 4. Baker Mayfield - NY Jets 5. Lamar Jackson - Arizona Cardinals Bonus: Bills Pick - Josh Rosen. (Leighton Vander Esch at #22, if the Bills still own this pick)
  10. Thanks for the effort and sharing this, Bandit. Solid and well thought out, as always. I love the thought of the Bills landing Darnold and hope you're right. The one thing I disagree with is your Redskins pick. The tea leaves here in Virginia seem to be pointing towards defense. I think they're staying put and hoping to land someone like Vita Vea but, then again, they are the Redskins so they always reserve the right to screw it up. Again, nice job.
  11. A tradition unlike any other...move over Masters... Once a year... The TBD world gathers... For a Time Honored Tradition... Unlike Any Other... The Annual Flutie vs. Johnson Debate.
  12. I don't know about that. Bobby may not have the physical tools of the other two but he was the one who manged to get Joe Namath to come to the house. He would be the better field general, IMO.
  13. You should reach out to former Bill and illustrator of Ray Bentley's 'Darby The Dinosaur', Mike Hamby.
  14. Much like Flutie and Johnson, there was a lot of animosity between Young and Montana. They definitely didn't like one another. The difference was that they were both phenomenal, Super Bowl winning QBs unlike Flutie and Johnson who were whiny, journeyman, nobodies.
  15. Because it was at the OP's house and you weren't invited...
  16. Jerry Hughes for Kelvin Sheppard wasn't good in your eyes?
  17. Retatta was my choice, as well.
  18. No, Rubes started the 'Giants trade with Broncos' thread...sucking people in only to discover that Denver had shipped their punter to the New York Football Giants.
  19. I don't care how good Gettleman thinks Barkley is, taking a RB second overall is poor value. What are they going to do in five years on Barkley's second contract, assuming he's still around? Are they going to back up the Brinks truck for a RB? Look at the Le'Veon Bell situation in Pittsburgh. As great as he is, the Steelers are gagging at the thought of paying a RB the kind of money that Bell wants. Gettleman is too "old school" for his own good. Thank God he's not the Bills' GM. There are some potential "franchise" RBs who will be available later on and the Giants could grab one of them and really shore up their roster with a slew of high picks. What do they have after the trade for their punter...something like five picks? They could even grab a QB late first or early second round with the extra picks they'll gain by moving down. Trading out of two is a no brainer unless you're grabbing your future franchise QB and I really don't think they're taking a QB at two overall.. They appear to be in "win now mode" but they're more than a Barkley away and just watch Odell implode if they build their offense around Saquon. Whatever he does, Gettleman better get it right or their fans will eat him alive.
