At the end of the Jags/Pats game lets hope.......
ExWNYer replied to chef4131's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...let's hope that a Brady scramble out bounds leads to a collision with Marrone and each of them shreds both of his knees.. But, hey, that's just me. -
I wasn't ragging on anyone. Maybe if you bothered reading the thread and got a little context, you'd understand the comments from me and others. I even stated to another poster that he/she was entitled to his/her opinion. Looks like you're new to the board and probably aren't familiar with everyone here or their posting histories and styles. There is one poster in particular who constantly brings the same, tired crusades to the board and who has been getting crushed in this thread by almost everyone. The point was not that Daboll might not be the right hire...he might not be. You and anyone else are certainly entitled to that opinion; however, nobody knows for sure whether he will or won't be any good. The point was that the people saying that he definitively WILL suck are being ridiculous and that's what I took exception to, not their opinions. That statement of fact is completely different than saying, "I don't think he will be any good because..." and then supporting their position. That's an opinion and totally acceptable. Daboll hasn't called a game for the Bills yet and we don't know what personnel he'll be working with in the fall. We'll have to wait and see. I hope that clarifies for you. Welcome to the board.

Ouch.

How did you lose $500 dollars on a push??

Down to Four - Which Team Are You Rooting For and Why?
ExWNYer replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. My brother-in-law is a lifelong Vikes fan from North Dakota. He's in his 50s and hasn't seen them in a SB since their four losses in the '70s. He's a good guy, as are all the Minnesota fans I've ever encountered. I'm a little torn because I'd hate to see them win one before the Bills but their fans have suffered almost as much as Bills fans. For his sake, I hope they win. -
Agreed.
-
Yeah, it would be absolutely awful to have Minkah Fitzpatrick playing for the Bills.

"The moral of the Saints win."

Haven't you heard? The Bills are a week into a new 17 year playoff drought...
-
So HOW IS THIS WORSE than Dennison? See what I did there? Point is, you don't know if it is or isn't better because he hasn't call ed his first game yet with the Bills. Neither do I. I'm taking a wait and see approach and am hoping that he does well. You're talking in absolutes that he will be worse which is blatantly ridiculous. You would've been the first one screaming from the mountaintop had they retained Dennison. Fact is, you're not happy unless you have something to complain about whether legit or not. Even SDS called you out in this thread.
-
I never named you by name but you obviously feel that you fall into this category. I won't argue. You're certainly entitled to your opinion but those that definitively "know" that this is a bad hire are being absolutely ridiculous.
-
You have been nothing but a black cloud of gloom and doom on this board and you continue with flimsy, "everything sucks" takes even after the end of the drought. He might be a great hire, he might not be but one thing is certain...you don't know either way at this point. They've made their choice and it's not changing before this season. How about for once, you try seeing how things play out instead of thinking that you know everything and STFU. smh
-
Don't bother with trying to be reasonable. Some of the "I hate everything" posters on this board are already convinced that he sucks because he was not "their choice". He's hired and that's not changing. I, for one, hope he succeeds.I'd rather see the Bills win than get mad because they didn't hire the guy "I wanted".

I am, as well, and I agree with your take. I'm glad that they didn't go with a failed retread like Mike McCoy. I think a younger, forward thinker like Daboll also signals all-in on an early QB selection. What he did with Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa was impressive. The 2nd half of the College Championship game against a great Georgia D was masterful. GO BILLS!!!

I was initially pulling for the Stillers because I thought that they were the only team capable of beating the Cheatriots but, admittedly, it was fun watching them get punked at home. I can't stand their pompous, entitled fans. Have fun watching at home with the rest of us Pittsburgh. #schadenfreude

With a half-assed effort to knock it down.

Here is what I know about Bill's Insiders...

With all due respect, OP...are you off your meds or just off your rocker? -
Oh, happy day! Always let 'em go on a Friday...so very corporate.

2017 Draft Trade with 2018 Value Points
ExWNYer replied to coldstorage5's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree but I'd certainly entertain offers to see if someone blew me out of the water. Then again, their owner and GM are not the brightest bulbs in the box. -

If I'm Indy, I'd definitely look into moving from 3 to 4 and maybe even down again after that. They need a ton and could get quite a haul. -
2017 Draft Trade with 2018 Value Points
ExWNYer replied to coldstorage5's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure, I'd like the most favorable scenario for the Bills but I was not thinking that at all here. The Bills pick at 21 & 22. I hold no delusions that they can get into those top two spots nor do I think that they would give up what it would take to get there even if the Browns and Giants were willing to trade out. I'm more interested to see if the Bills stay put or try to get into the top 10 or 15 spots or trade down for more picks. -

It's not "wishful thinking". I'm not a Browns fan. Just pointing out an alternate scenario, that's all. -

I think there is a real possibility that Cleveland takes Saquon Barkley at #1 overall and grabs their QB at #4 overall. They can get a QB at 4 but it's not likely that Barkley will be there at 4. The Giants could take Barkley at #2 and ride Eli for a few more years and the Colts could take him at #3, if they don't go O-line. JMO -
Bills vs. Jaguars Wild Card Postgame
ExWNYer replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. This was one of the most frustrating games I have watched. Unfortunately, it happened during the playoffs. The swing of emotions in the last 24 hours has been crazy.
