  1. I think it might be more apropos if Rex and Rob got an Apache motorcycle built for two...
  2. Bills play in two weeks My son and I will be there As the Fish get squished
  3. I would not give you false hope On this strange and non-mournful day But the Nathan and Zay reunion Is only a plane ride away (And, yes, EJ was in Oakland, as well)
  4. RIP, Rips. Enjoyed both of these guys. As stated up thread, I used to constantly confuse their names though I don't know why. Maybe because the name 'Torn' suited the goofy '$1.98 Beauty Show' Taylor much better. Rip Torn was comedic gold in 'The Larry Sanders Show'.
  5. Little seen photo of Jay Gruden (L) and Li'l Dummy Snyder (R) in the Redskins War Room during the Haskins pick...
  6. Is this a Joe Ferguson gif? ? (I kid...I was a big Fergy fan)
  7. I'm sure that Meadcoin is at least worth a lifetime supply of stromboli and wine. ? It was a special act and one that I'm sure he had no idea at the time would have such a meaningful impact a little kid's life. Based on your posts, I'm sure you have done something like that for more than one person in your lifetime. You are definitely a credit to this board. Kudos to you and your continual contributions.
  8. Haha! Thanks, Augie. My coin won't help me retire and holds no value other than intrinsic but its history and meaning bring a smile to my face just the same.
  9. I remember listening to the game on the radio and hearing that TD KO return right off the bat. Ugh. A very inauspicious start to open Rich Stadium. My neighbor across the street went to the game. I was only 9 and so jealous that I couldn't go. They gave out a commemorative plastic gold coin for the occasion with an image of the stadium on one side. My neighbor knew how badly I had wanted to go and gave me his coin the next day. I was so stoked. It was a very nice gesture to a little kid that I've never forgotten. I still have that coin to this day. It's one of my favorite and most cherished Bills items.
  10. It's got to be deflating for Denver to lose their Chubb...
  11. You mean like the let down the Titans had on the road yesterday after back-to-back losses to division rivals Indy and Jacksonville?? Didn't seem to affect them any now, did it? ?Jesus H your logic is beyond flawed. Is this a gimme for the Bills? No. Could they lose? Certainly. But to say they'll lose because "you can't discount losing a game like this" is simply asinine. Each game is a different entity and has no bearing on the outcome of the next. Some people just try too hard to be miserable. ?‍♂️
  12. As Bills fans, we'd all like to believe that had Allen been in the game, he would have marched the team into the end zone for the Cinderella ending. The sad reality is that we didn't get the chance to witness that possibility and we'll never know.
  13. This explains Raiduh fans... ^^^ This. Don't mess with a good thing. Exactly! No need to mess with perfection. The real 'America's Team' wears red, white, and blue. Seems like every year we have some version of this thread whereby some 'creative genius' feels the need to reinvent the wheel. Black? Really?? Why not go 'all in' and throw in puke-inducing teal for good measure. Ugh. Thank God the Sabres finally got it right and are bringing back their original beautiful, classic blue unis. GO BILLS!!!
  14. Maybe the semantics differentiation should be, "The Bills and Pats* are the only teams going head-to-head this week with a perfect record."
  15. The Lions are undefeated but do have a tie. Maybe that's what he was trying to say?
  16. Correct, 1520 is the live, real time feed. I used it last year during the Titans game. It works (or it did last year).
  17. There are actually Jest fans on WFAN asking whether or not they should trade Jamaal Adams straight up for Ramsey. A fan base grasping at straws while watching their team circle the drain. Desperate times, I guess.
  18. Is New England* inviting him to the game? (Ducks behind couch to avoid Royale with Cheese's thrown shoe)
  19. This is what had me scratching my head when I heard all of these pundits lauding the Jest. How in holy hell are you going to be "good" with a bad o-line AND secondary?? BTW, I don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread yet but WFAN just said that Darnold is out with mono and Bell, apparently, has a shoulder injury. You just can't make this stuff up with this dysfunctional organization. ?
  20. Count me in the 'thought they made the stop camp'. I think the less than optimal camera angle initially fooled those of us who thought he had been stopped. I was high-fiving a buddy who had come over to watch with me, my wife, and my younger son. We all thought the Bills had held until that unsettling 'WTF?!' moment washed over all of us. Thankfully, everything worked out in the end but not before having to endure several more minutes of angst. Such is the life of a Bills fan.
  21. Spot on. He came out of retirement because the station manager or CEO of Entercom went to his home and begged him to come back because their new afternoon drive show was not doing well. They threw a boatload of money at him and he jumped at it and has been mailing it in ever since. Since his retirement, he's been all about promoting his stupid, overpriced app which is going belly up on October 1st. Who the hell would pay $8.99 per month or $98.99 for a one-year subscription to listen to his insufferable diatribes? Apparently, not many. ? Listening to him for free is one thing but to pay for an arrogant, mouth-breathing, boor who never lets any of his callers finish a sentence is absolutely asinine. I can only take him in small doses before I have to listen to something else. It's amazing to me the number of people in the Big Apple who worship at his bloated altar. "Back afta dis..." https://nypost.com/2019/09/03/mike-francesas-subscription-app-is-dead/ GO BILLS!!!
  22. Yeah, I purposely listened today to hear the reactions of Joe Benigno & Evan Roberts (both Jest fans) and the aforementioned afternoon blowhard who loves the Giants and is a long-time Bill Parcells ballwasher who loves to rag on the Jest and Mets every chance he gets. I was thankful for several laugh worthy moments today. As a Met fan, I listen to WFAN fairly frequently, and the fans in the NYC area who cheer for all of the local teams are some of the most insufferable in the country. Probably second only to Boston sports fans. I hope the Bills have shaken off the rust and lay a beat down on the blue New Jersey team this Sunday.
  23. Blowhard Fatcessa also just said that the Bills have no business being favorites over the Giants because the Giants are a better team or, at worst, just as good as the Bills. Said the Bills won a game they had no business winning and "have a quarterback, in Allen, who had their fans longing for Nathan Peterman." Uhhhh...no. Then he grudgingly said that the Bills do have a good defense but he truly believes that the tire fire Giants are a better team. The Bills could certainly lose that game but the Giants are not a better team by any stretch.
  24. Thanks for not even putting up a fight, Pittsburgh.
