OK, let's do this: Tyrod Taylor
jethro_tull replied to TakeYouToTasker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree he is a good starter and we need to hold on to him for now. What I meant about his leadership is that he does not command the offense or act decisively at the line of scrimmage. He doesn't make the receivers better or seem to hold them accountable like other QBs did / do. I know he has a winning record but he has yet to win us a game in the final minutes. -
Whaley should be embarrassed today

the bills at full strength would have won yesterday? -
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING Matters Without a QB
jethro_tull replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very few teams have won a championship without an elite, franchise QB. The ravens, the bucs and most recently the broncos. But it took an incredibly awesome defense to compensate. I can understand where the Bills and other teams are going-ground and pound with solid defense- because there just aren't that many elite QBs to go around. But they need to keep looking (hard) and hope to eventually land one. -

He isn't a leader, game winner or close to being an elite QB. The Bills need to keep looking. -

you are missing the point. think about it. who is accountable for the roster? the fact that hogan burned the bills is icing on the cake to the point of ridiculous roster management but it is far from the only reason. the person accountable for the roster should be highly embarrassed. -

it is but the receivers had the bills coverage beat, often embarassingly wide open (which is possibly coaching related). i mean hogan beat gilmore flat out. -

once again, whaley has failed to field players that are competitive with the best in our division. gilmore, darby and robey coleman are a farce of a matchup against gronk, edleman, and now (believe it or not) hogan! -
Marquise Goodwin and Aaron William Update Thread

This site is worth its weight in gold when you guys are able to update us on the health of our players so quickly. So relieved about AW, thank you. -
Fox PBP man Dick Stockton--worst announcer ever?
jethro_tull replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i cut him some slack. BFD on the details he is still a good PBP guy IMHO. maybe i am jaded because of late chicago cubs broadcaster harry carray who went (easily) 5 years past when he should have retired. because fans turned him into a legend he was allowed to slobber and drunkenly stumble his way through his last games. -
McCoy asks Bills fans to be respectful of Kaepernick
jethro_tull replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
probably a good idea since most of the bills players are sympathetic to his cause and may find him admirable. i would hate for the fans to act boneheaded and disrespectful to the extreme because it could make our players upset. -
You guys need to think bigger If they beat the patriots at home, they might have a chance to win the Division! That would put them at "even" with the Bills owning the Tiebreaker. The Patriots could easily lose to the Broncos and Steelers. That would give the Bills (2) games to lose at that point and still win the Division. Patriots lose more- the Bills could afford to lose more. Definitely a stretch but not impossible.

the steelers. how about a QB that can complete a third down play once in a while? -
National media making excuses for AZ and NE***
jethro_tull replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no big deal, par for the course. a win is a win and a loss is a loss. let's keep winning and screw what the media says. BTW did anyone make excuses for seattle when they choked away that super bowl to the patriots? -

Whaley has been a complete failure as a GM
jethro_tull replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has failed to field a playoff competitive roster. The Bills are 5 and 12 vs. playoff teams (including last week's AZ win). One of those games was against the Patriots at the end of the season when they had already clinched. Basically 4 and 13 against playoff teams. That's .307 for anyone keeping score. Good batting average, not so good in football. Also, is he responsible for this list (ultimately)? What a disgrace this list is. Current Injuries: Current Injuries: Shaq Lawson DE Shoulder I-R Lawson will require surgery to repair his right shoulder and has been placed on the PUP list. He is eligible to return October 23rd against the Dolphins. Kolby Listenbee WR Hernia I-R Listenbee had offseason double sports hernia surgery and has been placed on the injured reserve - non football injury list. He is eligible to return against the Dolphins on October 23rd. Marcus Easley WR Knee I-R Easley is recovering from knee surgery and will start the season on the PUP list. He is eligible to return October 23rd against the Dolphins. Blake Annen TE Neck I-R Annen has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve list with a neck injury. IK Enemkpali LB Knee I-R Enemkpali suffered a torn ACL and has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve list. Sammy Watkins WR Foot I-R Watkins has been placed on injured reserve with a foot injury. Chris Gragg TE Knee I-R Gragg tore his ACL and is expected to miss the entire season as he was placed on the injured reserve list. Jonathan Dowling DB Knee I-R Dowling tore his ACL during the preseason and has been placed on the injured reserve list, ending his season. Reggie Ragland LB Knee I-R Ragland will have surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee and has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve list. Greg Salas WR Groin out Salas will be inactive against the Patriots due to a groin injury. Cyrus Kouandjio T Ankle out Kouandjio is hampered by an ankle injury and will be unavailable against the Patriots on Sunday. Patrick Lewis C Knee out Lewis has an injured knee and will not suit up for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Seantrel Henderson T Suspension out Henderson has been suspended four games for a violation of the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse and is eligible to play against the Rams on October 9th. Marcell Dareus DT Suspension out Dareus has been issued a four game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy and is eligible to make his season debut October 9th against the Rams. Jonathan Meeks DB Foot questionable Meeks is hampered by a foot injury and it is undetermined if he will participate in Sunday's game against the Patriots. Aaron Williams S Ankle questionable Williams is sidelined with an ankle injury and it is unclear if he will be active against the Patriots on Sunday. Charles Clay TE Knee questionable Clay is battling a knee injury and it is unknown if he will be available Sunday against the Patriots. Colt Anderson S Foot questionable Anderson has a foot injury and his availability against the Patriots on Sunday is in question. Ronald Darby CB Hamstring questionable Darby missed the last game with a hamstring injury and it is unclear if he will play Sunday against the Patriots. Marquise Goodwin WR Undisclosed questionable Goodwin has an unspecified injury and his status is unclear for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Cardale Jones QB Shoulder questionable Jones has missed the last three games with an injured shoulder and it is unclear if will be available against the Patriots on Sunday. Cordy Glenn T Ankle questionable Glenn has missed last two games with an ankle injury and it is unclear if he will suit up Sunday against the Patriots. -

of course we do, it is our culture and our reality. the bills fan base is very impatient. personally i hope we beat the cardnials and the patriots and turn the season around, which i believe could happen. if the roman firing has some substance other than an act to define a scapegoat it will not signal the beginning of the end of the Rex era. it will all boil down to how the players respond. the good teams aren't intimidated. the texans coughed up two kick-off fumbles and gave the patriots the ball point blank in the red zone, they failed to stuff the box against an obviously run based offense (the running lanes the patriots ground game had extended in all directions) and osweillor attempted to lead the offense and inspire them but he failed. the texans receivers were dragging all night. everyone is hailing the patriots as the gods of football and they may be correct, but not because of last night's game. they looked very beatable despite the score and i believe the bills will win if they don't self destruct in the mean time. I liked the effort in the second matchup last season. the bills defense was spell binding.
