  1. I think it becomes more and more obvious that the smart thing to do for the cap stessed Bills is to let Tyrod play out his cheap deal. However, with the cash being spent on decent QB options (Bradford, Osweiler) what is Tyrod worth if he duplicate his 2015 season next year??? Probably 18m per year, which we can't afford. Do we do something crazy and trade him to Denver now, and try to draft someone? Do we go forward with the current plan of waiting? Do we cut more people and try to lock him up now?
  2. This is good stuff- Buffalo could use the good press!!
  3. Growing up in the 70s, it's hard to ague that this wasn't the best era. Super fun team in Pittsburg. Great runs from Oakland, Miami and San Diego. Orange Crush in Denver. Great team in Dallas. Sad time for the Bills though
  4. Maybe- that sounds like smoke screen nonsense about that many teams. And Tackles are premium players- not guards
  5. Fitz really overachieved for the Jets last year and overall looked good. But the money average QBs are scoring lately (Osweiler, Bradford) is crazy, and the Jets can't afford the $10 million plus per year Fitz is likely asking for.
  6. No thank you. 4-5 million???? We don't have the money. Get a rookie to run fast downfield- maybe someone who can return kicks as well
  7. This is old and useless news. Stop acting like a jilted lover and let's move on!
  8. Good luck Leo- had to go for the money he was making, but he was a solid Bill
  9. Well, bottom line is glad we got him. Continuity on the line and keeping our best asset (running game) is nice. I hope we didn't overpay. That's a lot of scratch for a 33 year old player at-frankly- a non premium position. I doubt any other team was offering him a deal that long or for that much.
  10. Good teams don't pay 33 year old free agents big money or give them long term deals- sorry. At this point he is worth barely over the league minimum, despite his awesome year last year.
  11. Good teams release older players before their skills decline below their value. Fred was awesome, but being bitter about his release is silly
  12. I'll be a lone voice in the wilderness- This is a smart move- give it some time! This team needs some stability. Yes the defense was a trainwreck, but flipping coaches and schemes AGAIN, after only one year. is crazy
  13. No thank you to firing the coach after one year- that is example one of how crappy franchises run. Going to take some time to get this working right...sorry... but that's that.
  14. This is kind of a non story, beyond that it involves more buffoonery from the factory of sadness in Cleveland. If you look at all that Pettine said, he was largely complimentary of Wilson, and merely said he was not a transcendent talent like Brady yet.
  15. I would root for Satan and the hounds of hell before I root for the Jets, Patriots or Dolphins to win the SB this or any year. That is all- go everyone else but the AFC East!
  16. Easy now- 1. Mills had one average game this year 2. he had a lot of help when JJ was over him- just about every play I saw 3. Many of the running plans ran away from JJ 4. He has already been cut by 3 teams Not saying he can't play, but let's be reasonable
  17. I live in Cardinals country and am quietly rooting for them as team #2- it does help dull the pain
  18. Long term view helps with short term pain!
  19. After year 30x, game 100x of raging on Mondays, I have chosen to use my positive attitude in life and finally apply it to the Bills. Here goes, and hopefully this helps someone else! 1) All of the good franchises have success because of coach/system tenure and stability, solid QB play, timely defensive play down the stretch 2) Rex has a defensive system that works, however he does not have the players necessary to run it yet (really he runs a 3-4, and we don't have the personnel) He and the GM need time to assemble the pieces. 3) Roman is a competent OC, with the ability to get plenty out of average QBs. He needs another year to work with Tyrod, (who may or may not be the answer) and another year of assembling players for his system 4) We are not going to the playoffs this year. Too sloppy, too messy- not happening. Lets look forward and hope that year 2 in the system, with 2 drafts and free agent classes to assemble the proper talent, proves to be the difference. In short- give us time! You saw the Browns game last night and those graphics- (how many coaches, GMs and coordinators they have been through in the last few years) we don't want that! There is no guarantee Rex will take us to the promised land, but this regime needs some time, as in years, to try and I am looking forward to seeing it work!
  20. I watched this fight- Fury looks like a goof in the ring. He had some bizarre antics and a weird fighting style (no power) that may have frustrated Klitchko, but the champ looked worn down and out of it and fought a terrible fight. Sadly, still nothing to see in the Heavyweight division:(
  21. I expect a big fat load of multiple TE and Blount tonight- set us up for the Brady pick passes
  22. Tried to call, but I heard some odd noises on the other end and had the odd feeling that maybe the call was being recorded....
  23. I am thinking doing so would dramatically reduce the game package pricing they get from the Networks. Football is the top show everyone watches and the Networks need those Playoff Sundays (and Saturdays!)
  24. This is silly. All the comments out of OBD this week are about how Johnson has mastered the playbook. We aren't going to outright cut Manuel for Weeden. Move along nothing to see here
