  1. Eli & his mommy & daddy all went to Ole Miss.
  2. Three ref spawn on this crew, Seeman, Steratore and the aforementioned Coleman. Talk about nepotism.
  3. Don't rule out Freeman, apparently Rex loves him, very smart player, can long snap, and also play guard in a pinch. Might be a twofer where they keep him and release Urbik & Sanborn, or upgrade from the cut list. Despite being light for an OL, did 34 bench presses at his pro day, coach's son, apparently very athletic for an OL, and a good fit for what Roman does.
  4. Another Former raven swing tackle runs a fitness center about 2 miles from the Bills Training Camp. Former SU 2nd rounder Adam Terry. High quality guy.
  5. I am an original Bills fan, I was 11 when the team was founded in 1959. Used to go to the games at the Rockpile with my dad. Have been a Bills Fan through thick & thin. My top 10 Billy Shaw Tom Sestak Mike Stratton - hit on Keith Lincoln won a champtionship. Jim Kelly Thurman Thomas Andre Reed Bruce Smith OJ Simpson [the football player] Kyle Williams Marcel Dareus Cookie & Cribbs would be on this list, if they played longer in Buffalo. Their early departure hurt the team.
  6. Varga's from Kitchener, Ontario, so Buffalo will be a nice fit for him.

  8. The Bills have Boobie, who blocked at least two kicks this year, plus he can play RB, FB, and Teams.
  9. As a vet [uSAF 1966-70] Thanks for your service.
  10. Trestman would be a real upgrade at OC. Just don't bring Cutler along with him
  11. Terry & Kim - Give all of these guys their walking papers
  12. Eddie Lacy sure resembled the fullbacks of old, Cookie, Boobie Braxton.
  13. Can Pepper move to DC? Best Unit on this team?
  14. FredEx, Bryce and Dixon all made plays when they had to.
  15. Gotta admit, that FredEx brought game today when needed.
  16. 64 & 65 Dline had Sestak [would have been HOF if he had played longer], Ron McDole [240 games played], Tom Day, and Jim Dunaway, all AFL all-stars. They allowed zero rushing touchdowns in 17 straight games, a record that still stands today. The 1964 Bills' defense set an AFL record by giving up the fewest rushing yards in league history, with only 918, or 65.5 yards per game.[1] They also led the league in points allowed (242), total yards allowed (3,878), first downs surrendered (206), and rushing touchdowns allowed (four).[2] They had Mike Stratton [The Keith Lincoln tackle], Butch Byrd, and George Saimes, a Kicker named Gogolak and a punter named Maguire [yep that guy]. They went 12-2 with a QB [Kemp] who threw twice as many INT's [26] as TD's. [13]. Arguably the best defensive player on the team might have been the starting fullback AKA Cookie, truly a man amongst boys.
  17. For a large part of my career I worked for a fortune 10 corporation. They often had super-bowl boondoggles for the sales force and top customers. I vividly remember that for both the Detroit and Minny Super Bowls, that they had the Superbowl events in warm climes [Cancun, Caribbean] and just broadcast the games on large screens for anyone who wanted to watch. Buffalo will never host a superbowl, regardless of what type of stadium. The 75" inch snowfall will scare them away, can you imagine a superbowl and no one could get there because air travel was grounded.
  18. The Bills once had a guy named Daryl Lamonica, I would consider him a franchise quarterback, but we let him go.
  19. http://www.miamidolphins.com/team/staff-directory.html Looks like Marc Anthony, The Estefans, Venus & Serena & Fergie, as well as Shula & Huizenga
  20. Anyone see this. At least he will have a wife who understands winning. http://www.twcc.com/entertainment/galleries/celebrity_weddings_engagements#/0
  21. As an original bills fan [i was 12 in 1960], this is one of the best selections ever. He is without doubt the voice of the Bills, and one of the classiest guys that ever spoke into a microphone. I will make every effort to be there on his special Day.
  22. The stepped up basis thing is huge I think. Ralph's basis is $25K. Her's is the fair market value on the date of his passing [e.g. $1BB or so].
  23. Wonder if any tax lawyers are on the board. I remember when my dad passed, that the stocks they jointly held stepped up in basis on the day of his death. Wonder if that happens with football teams. If so, she just had close to a billion dollars evade the tax man, especially since she lives in Florida.
  24. I still remember Cookie running for 243 yards in a Mosh Pit on a sleeting November Day. Wonder if AP could have done what he does on a field like the rockpile...
  25. People forget, Frank is a committed Christian, with strong ties to the Bible Belt. Yes SD is a better climate, but OC in SD vs. OC in TN, could be a tough choice for him, esp with SD's stadium issues. If Frank could turn CJ2K into a faster Thurmal, that would be a start right there.
